Strictly Come DancingĀ star Dianne Buswell has announced the devastating loss of her grandfather.
The professional dancer shared the tragic news on social media yesterday (5 July), with a heartfelt tribute to her beloved ‘Pop’.
“Rest in peace pop ā¤ļøš„¹ you were 99 years young š thank you for all the stories and I just know you will be up there dancing with Nan already ā¤ļøā¤ļøš” she captioned theĀ InstagramĀ post.
Dianne also shared a video compilation of her surprising her grandfather in Australia. In the clip, the pair celebrated her recent victory, after she won the latest series ofĀ StrictlyĀ withĀ Chris McCausland.
“I’m aĀ StrictlyĀ champion, Pop,” she laughed as they danced together.

In another clip, filmed by Dianne’s boyfriend Joe Sugg, she and her grandfather were seen joking around as they embraced for a phot0.
The star received lots of love and support in the comment section, including condolence messages from fellowĀ StrictlyĀ professionals Nancy Xu,Ā Michelle Tsiakkas, Jowita PrzystaÅ,Ā Johannes RadebeĀ andĀ Vito Coppola.

The sad news comes after the heartbreaking dšath of Dianne’s grandmotherĀ earlier this year. Back in March, Dianne took toĀ InstagramĀ to share a beautiful tribute to her beloved Nan.
“Rest in peace nan. Love you very much,” she captioned the emotional video montage. “I’m so grateful I was home to say goodbye to such a special lady in my life, now go be with pop he has been patiently waiting for you.”
