The three-time Pro Bowl Allen spoke to CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson and sent a message to the Chiefs whom he will go up against in the AFC Championship next week
Buffalo’s defense forced the Ravens to turn the ball over three times as they will now have a tough matchup ahead of them.
The Bills will go on the road to play the Chiefs, who are looking to win their third straight Super Bowl title.
After the game, CBS Sports reporter Tracy Wolfson asked Josh Allen why he believed the AFC Championship game against the Chiefs will be different.
Allen is 0-3 against the Chiefs in the NFL playoffs.
“I can’t tell you that [if the outcome will be different],” Allen said during the postgame interview.
“I just know we’re going to work hard. We’re going to have a heck of a week.
“We’re going to enjoy this one tonight. Turn our attention to the Chiefs tomorrow.
“We know what they are. They’re the perennial of what you want to be in the NFL.
“You gotta beat them to get past them.
“So, we’re going to enjoy this one tonight.”
Buffalo was up 21-10 at halftime, but a rally came from Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, who cut the lead to just 21-19 entering the fourth quarter.
Tight end Mark Andrews fumbled, however, and the Bills would have an eight-point lead in the final three minutes of the game.
The two-time NFL MVP Jackson threw a touchdown with 1:57 minutes left in the contest to cut the deficit to two.
However, a drop from Andrews on the two-point conversion secured the win for Buffalo.
