Two more celebrities were unmasked and sent home during Saturday’s semi final, meaning there are only three more to be unveiled in the final on Saturday 15 February
The Masked Singer delivered another shock double elimination during the semi final, and fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the celebs going home and the three finalists.
On Saturday night, the five remaining characters battled it out for just three places in the final. Bush, Dressed Crab, Wolf, Pufferfish and Bear all sang for the audience and judges, and ultimately it was Bear and Bush who were unmasked and then sent home.
Bear was revealed halfway through the show to be Example, and fans were not surprised. “Knew it!” wrote one viewer, while another said: “Wooo! I finally got one right! Gutted he didn’t make the final, Example has been brilliant this season, he was my fave.”
Bush, meanwhile, turned out to be soap legend Natalie Cassidy. She said it was the best job she had ever done, and fans were thrilled it was her. “Yes! It’s Sonia,” wrote one fan, in reference to Natalie’s EastEnders alter ego. Another wrote: “Knew it was Sonia from EastEnders!” and a third added: “Called it! Weeks ago!”

There are now just three mystery celebrities left to be unveiled in next week’s final, and fans are speculating who may be hiding behind their masks. During the semi final, Wolf sang Billy Idol’s Rebel Yell and Crowded House’s hit Don’t Dream It’s Over and their clues included the phrase ‘I’m still standing’ and having ‘old scores to settle’, leading some viewers to guess that it could be Simon Le Bon or Wet Wet Wet’s Marti Pellow hiding behind their elaborate costume. “Wolf is definitely Marti Pellow,” wrote one viewer, while a second said: “Wolf is Marti Pellow, his voice is so unique.” Another commented: “Wolf sounded like Simon Le Bon to me,” while a fourth viewer put another eighties pop name into the mix: “Wolf is Tony Hadley or Marti Pellow.”
Dressed Crab’s performance of Suddenly by Billy Ocean and the classic Hit The Road Jack also threw up some surprise guesses from fans. Following their clue about ‘composing myself’ and ‘don’t ring after 9pm’, some people thought that it could be actor and singer Billy Porter or singer/songwriter Gregory Porter. “I hope dressed crab is the amazing Gregory Porter. I’ve just booked tickets to go and see him,” said one fan, and another wrote: “Dressed crab is Billy Porter, I’m sure of it.”

Pufferfish has also made it through to the final of The Masked Singer (

Perhaps the most mysterious of all is Pufferfish, who sang Billie Eilish’s What Was I Made For, from the Barbie movie, and the Dreamgirls song One Night Only. They hinted at their identity with clues including a Windy City sign and talking about ‘sharing the stage with crows’. Could it be stage star Samantha Barks behind the mask? “Pufferfish for the crown, no doubt, and Samantha Barks? I can’t wait to hear her sing next week,” commented one viewer, while another added: “I’m all in for Pufferfish to win this! And Davina nailed it with Samantha Barks, finally!”
Viewers only have a week to go before they find out the identity of Pufferfish, Wolf and Dressed Crab. The Masked Singer final will take place on Saturday 15 February on ITV1, and joining host Joel Dommett and judges Maya Jama, Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross on the show will be last year’s winner, Danny Jones.
He is the guest judge for the final, but many fans are hoping he will also sing a duet with one of the remaining contestants. In previous years, former Masked Singer stars Jason Manford, Aston Merrygold, and Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts have dusted their costumes off and returned to perform with the finalists on the show, so it could be possible.
