HE’S ALREADY IN THE VILLAGE – Emmerdale Dylan’s dad ‘RUMBLED’ after Return

Dylan in Emmerdale made his comeback this week, and it’s led to a new theory by fans. Dylan’s not the only one back on the show after some time away, as a villain also made a comeback.

It’s the confirmed link between Dylan and this character though that has got viewers talking and theorising. April Windsor’s pal was injured when he trespassed on the farm with another masked character, stabbed with a pitchfork by young Kyle who feared for his life. Moira Dingle soon walked in on the situation, and threatened the intruders to leave her farm while wielding a gun.

Following this we saw Dylan look badly injured while he continued to hide this even from April. It comes as new spoilers revealed that Dylan would be hiding from new villain Ray, who makes his comeback this week.

Spoilers for next week also reveal that he avoids Ray’s messages, as it emerges he’s doing jobs for the dealer. With him hiding a stash of drugs, Dylan is taking cover before he’s tracked down by Ray, who offers him another job to do.

But amid the dealing and the drama surrounding whatever it is they are up to, some fans think they’ve worked out a twist. While it’s suggested that the link between the two characters is work based, some viewers have questioned if there’s another way they are connected.

Fans are asking if they are in fact related, with the top theory being Ray will be exposed as being Dylan’s father. Taking to social media, one fan said: “I want Ray to be Dylan’s (April’s friend) dad because Fred (Kettle) looks like a young Joe Absolom.”

Another fan posted: “I like Dylan! I know there’s hints about him working for Ray but I actually think Ray could be his dad not just his ‘boss’.” A third comment said: “Said this somewhere else but thoughts on Dylan being related to someone? Maybe Ray being his dad or an uncle?”

On another post, one comment read: “If Dylan’s mum or dad ends up being in the picture this would definitely bring drama for Mandy and Paddy and them wanting to look out for him,” amid hints they could take Dylan in. Next week, Paddy finds Dylan and April at the vets with Dylan sporting a nasty leg wound.

Paddy ends up patching him up and agrees to help him and stay silent. He then offers him a place to stay for the night, finding out that he is homeless.

There’s no doubt more to come from the storyline, especially as spoilers hint Ray could target April to get to Dylan.
