Burrell’s husband, Stuart Claxton, found her on her shower floor at her home in Brooklyn, New York, and called 911, per Page Six.
It’s unclear what kind of pills were found and if they played any part in her d3ath.
The New York Police Department declined to comment on the report when approached by The U.S. Sun.
Officials warned against speculating about the pills, according to the Post.
When Claxton called police to the horrific scene, he told cops that his wife had suffered cardiac arrest.
However, Burrell’s cause of d3ath hasn’t been determined after she was pronounced d3ad at the scene.
NYPD confirmed to The U.S. Sun that they received a 911 call on Tuesday at 7:50 am to an “aided female” inside the home and found her “unconscious and unresponsive” upon arrival.
News of Burrell’s d3ath shocked the food world.
The chef, 55, was best known for starring on Food Network as the host of Worst Cooks in America.
Hours before her d3ath, she performed improv at a venue in Brooklyn, according to the Post.
She was last seen at 1 am that morning and appeared “in great spirits,” a witness told the outlet.
Burrell was smiling in her last social media post days before her d3ath.
Tributes to the icon poured in from fellow celebrity chefs on social media.
Bobby Flay paid tribute to Burrell on Thursday and called her “unforgettable.”
