ACTRESS and broadcaster Kathryn Apanowicz has sadly died aged 64.
The BBC and ITV star appeared in several beloved soaps including EastEnders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street.

Her tragic death was announced on Monday after battling a long illness.
Former ITV Calendar presenter Christa Ackroyd paid tribute to Kathryn.
She wrote on social media: “Reunited with her beloved Richard. I will miss you so much my lovely friend.
“What adventures we had. The world will always be a duller place without you…”
Ian White of ITV Calendar also paid tribute and wrote: “Very sad news tonight about friend and former colleague Kathryn Apanowicz.”
Another fan shared: “I was sad to hear that the presenter and actress Kathryn Apanowicz has passed away.
“I remember Kathryn’s days in EastEnders and her appearing in a charity show in Leicester back in the late 80s. RIP, Kathryn.”
The star, who was the partner of legendary Countdown host Richard Whiteley, began her career as a child in Yorkshire Television’s Junior Show Time, alongside Mark Curry.
She went on to score a role in the BBC’s Angels, before finding her feet in the world of soap operas.
In EastEnders Kathryn played the caterer Magda Czajkowski.
The actress appeared in Emmerdale in 1972 and Corrie in 1960 and again in 1997.
In her later years, Kathryn turned to hosting shows on BBC Radio Leeds and BBC Radio York.
She also penned a book after her partner Richard’s death, called Richard by Kathryn: The Life of Richard Whiteley.
