Today marks Kate, Princess of Wales’ 43rd birthday – and it kicks off with a sweet message from her family.
After a turbulent 2024 for the princess and her family, Kate’s birthday is sure to be a nice time for them to relax and reflect on the year she has had.
Kate announced in September of last year that she had completed her treatment for cancer. The Princess of Wales said she was focusing on staying cancer-free.
And those around her also want to celebrate her, which is proven by the thoughtful messages sent to her online.

King Charles and Queen Camilla mark Princess Kate’s birthday
On the official royal family social media accounts, King Charles and Queen Camilla sent Kate their well-wishes.
The message was kept simple but still showed everyone that the family are supporting her.
On both X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, they wrote: “Happy birthday to the Princess of Wales!”
Her elegance and grace continues to inspire many.
They opted to use a lovely photo of Kate smiling, holding a bunch of flowers, on Christmas Day last year.
Fans of the family rushed to the comments on X to share their own birthday messages for the princess.
One gushed: “Wishing a very happy birthday to the Princess of Wales. Her elegance and grace continues to inspire many.”
Another added: “Happy birthday Catherine. I hope this year is filled with health, protection and many blessings.”

How the Princess of Wales will spend her birthday
Today (January 9), Royal Insider reported that a new photo of Kate was tipped to be released for her birthday.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told us: “This really is a pivotal birthday. A year ago it was the eve of her abdominal surgery. She would have probably felt uncomfortable.”
He theorised: “When she turned 40, three superb and special portraits of her by Paolo Roversi were released. This year, if we do have a photo, I’d expect it to be a simple one.”
A photo was released on Thursday as Prince William gushed over his “incredible” wife in a personal message.

Kate’s ‘incredibly tough’ cancer battle
There were a lot of rumours about what was actually going on with Kate, after she disappeared from her public duties for a while early in 2024.
But in March 2024 she announced to the world that she had been diagnosed with cancer, following an earlier abdominal surgery in January. However, she has never revealed exactly what cancer she had.
Kate took some time to focus on her treatment, and thankfully she is now cancer-free. In September the family shared a heartwarming video where Kate reflected on her cancer journey.
The princess said: “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant. And we had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.
“This time has reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted.”
