NFL Fans Want Reporter Banned For Asking Patrick Mahomes ‘Classless’ Question
Unfortunately, some people who received credentials for Super Bowl LIX Opening Night decided to make a mockery out of this event.
On Monday night, a content creator asked Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes if he has a favorite referee. Obviously, this was a nod to all the conspiracies about the NFL rigging the playoffs for the Chiefs. Even though Mahomes had every right to get annoyed by this question, he took the high road and actually answered it.
“That’s hilarious,” Mahomes replied. “No, all the refs are great. All the refs are great. They do the best they can, go out there and play the game the right way.”
Instead of just accepting they made a mistake, this content creator doubled down by asking Mahomes if he gives an annual Christmas card to his favorite referee.
“Not that I can remember,” Mahomes said sarcastically. “I’ll talk to some of my teammates to figure it out.”

NFL fans are understandably irritated by this reporter’s behavior. While we’re not sure if this will happen, some are calling for the NFL to ban them from ever again having access to the Super Bowl.
“I’m not the biggest fan of how the Chiefs are treated around the league and how much help they *seemingly* get from refs But this is extreme cornball behavior from that reporter lol and Patrick responded well,” one fan said.
Another fan wrote, “People like this who are gonna ruin it for all smaller content creators.”
“Imagine getting a credential to Super Bowl week just to troll,” a third fan commented.
“This is just classless by that reporter,” a social media user declared.
“Give credentials to people that actually don’t want to waste people’s time,” another user wrote.
We live in a world where everyone wants to create the next viral moment. That being said, it shouldn’t come at the player’s expense.
If fans want to complain about Mahomes and the Chiefs, they’re entitled to. But there shouldn’t be questions like this asked at an actual media event.
