Princess Anne’s stark ‘prediction’ about Meghan Markle’s future in royal family

Princess Anne reportedly made a prediction about Meghan Markle and her role in the royal family well before the word “Megxit” was ever coined.
With just under a week to go until Prince Harry and his wife’s seventh wedding anniversary, the relationship between the king’s second son and his relatives shows little sign of thawing. Harry’s BBC interview at the start of the month where he claimed he “would love a reconciliation” doesn’t appear to have improved matters.
And now, with the Princess Royal and other members of The Firm getting on with duties such as last week’s VE Day commemorations, Anne’s forecast concerning the Duchess of Sussex has resurfaced.

Princess Anne made ‘prediction’ about Meghan Markle
One royal commentator believes Princess Anne may have anticipated Harry’s spouse would not be a member of the royal family long term.
Neil Sean once claimed Anne advised Meghan to treat her role as a “job”, rather than an accumulation of celebrity status.
However, according to reports, Meghan might have misunderstood.
Mr Sean said of Anne in a video on his YouTube channel: “This senior royal takes no nonsense. Much like her father the late Duke of Edinburgh. Apparently, when Meghan Markle joined the royal family, she sought out Princess Anne. According to a very good source, Princess Anne gave very sage advice to the new royal.”
He went on: “She [Anne] does endless amounts of engagements. She turns up, does the job, does not seek the limelight. But apparently, Meghan left her meeting with Princess Anne dumbfounded. Princess Anne reiterated this mantra, she pointed out that it wasn’t a working monarchy, it was a job. You turn up on time, you do your research, and do the duty.”
She always knew that Meghan would have a very short shelf-life in the world of the British monarchy.
However, he added: “According to a very good source, Meghan Markle failed to warm to Princess Anne. And Princess Anne always knew that Meghan would have a very short shelf-life in the world of the British monarchy.”
It seems this did come true to some extent since Harry and Meghan stepped away from royal duties in early 2020, just under two years after they tied the knot in May 2018.

Which Princess is friends with Meghan?
Despite it seeming like Meghan does not have many allies within the royals, Princess Eugenie was reportedly friendly with Meghan for several years – and before the duchess met Prince Harry.
Eugenie, the second daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, is said to have met her cousin’s wife as they have a mutual friend in fashion designer Misha Nonoo.
Furthermore, according to Tatler, Harry introduced his then-girlfriend to Eugenie before any other member of the royal family.
However, the Sussexes were also accused of stealing the limelight when Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank. That’s because Harry and Meghan reportedly chose the occasion to share news with relatives that they were expecting.
While Eugenie reportedly felt “furious”, she and her husband still made the trip to Montecito to visit the Sussexes after they stepped down from royal duties at the start of 2020.
Nonetheless, reports claim Eugenie’s support for the Sussexes is not displayed on social media.
However, Harry and Meghan apparently remain close to Eugenie and Jack.
