Former glamour model Katie Price is set to see her life turned into a tell-all documentary as she spills on her relationships and rocky life in the spotlight
Katie Price is planning an in-depth documentary into her life, with her exes said to be approached to give their side of the story. The former glamour model, 47, is set to spill all on her rocky relationships in the public eye.
Last month, the Mirror revealed how her exes Kieran Hayler, 38, and Alex Reid, 50, had decided to team up to block the film from featuring them. They are both said to be aghast at the idea of Katie airing things publicly and consulted lawyers.
A source told us: “They feel like they have been backed into a corner and have no choice. They just want her to stop trashing them, and can’t believe she is being given a platform.”
Katie’s ex Peter Andre is believed to have also been approached and was already on “red alert” before the documentary plans emerged. Now, it has reported Kieran and Alex may be having a change of heart.
Reports claim the pair are likely to accept the offer of appearing on the show, in a shock U-turn. “The feeling was that if they couldn’t stop the documentary happening they could at least influence it by appearing and giving their version of events — as Katie will unquestionably deliver hers,” a source told the Sun.
“Nothing is a done deal yet, but it’s looking positive, and the overriding feeling is this is a credible show taking an objective look at Katie’s life and it’s worth being a part of.”
However, Kieran’s representative told the Mirror: “There are no such talks in place.” Alex’s manager also told us: “I am unable to comment on rumours, but needless to say should we be approached by production companies to deliver a platform in which the truth behind Katie’s web of lies can be exposed we would of course be open to discussion.”
Last month, Peter, 52, released a statement blasting his ex-wife’s “lies”. Asked about the show, an insider close to the Australian singer said: “His lawyers will be keeping a close eye on all things moving forward in terms of what Kate says or does.”
The three-part series is reportedly being made by Louis Theroux’s production company Mindhouse and put out by Sky. A strongly worded legal letter was said to be being prepared on behalf of Kieran and Alex, urging the broadcaster to reconsider airing it.
A spokesman for Kieran said at the time: “We are keeping all our options open. I can confirm Alex Reid is on the same page.” A TV insider claimed the autobiographical show would “likely spill the beans on [Katie’s] many flings and love affairs” and would be the “most authentic version of her story”.
Katie and Kieran were married from 2013 to 2021. They had two kids, Jett, now 12, and Bunny, 11. Former cage fighter Alex wed the ex-glamour model in Las Vegas in February 2010. They separated in January 2011.
Alex sued Katie for breach of confidence, misuse of private information and breach of contract after she disclosed to pals videos and photos of him performing a sex act. She was told to pay £25,000 in damages and £150,000 in costs.
Katie was married to Peter from 2005 to 2009, and they have Junior, 20, and Princess, 18.
The Mirror has contacted Kieran and Alex’s representatives for comment.
