Meghan Markle has come under fire for her latest social media video, which shows her preparing an ice cream before sharing a bite with her beagle, Mamma Mia. The Duchess of Sussex, who turns 45 today, shared the promo clip to her As Ever account as she made her favourite ice cream sundae, topped with raspberry spread and her own flower sprinkles.

Between showing off her expensive jewellery collection and Meghan’s fussy way of preparing the ice creams, fans had a lot to pick through. But it was one shot in particular that left fans baffled, as two ice creams in crystal glasses appeared to suddenly transform into a cone, missing its flower sprinkles.

Taking to X, one viewer tweeted: “How does ice cream dish go to cone so quickly?”

Somebody else echoed: “Makes a sloppy sundae and then eats a cone with none of her products on it. Says a lot about her own product. She wouldn’t eat it and the dog ran away from it!”

A third said: “Why did she make a sundae and the next shot she’s eating an ice cream cone? She has absolutely no idea of how to do PR or branding or anything. She just cobbles any old crap together, and it’s all fake anyway!”

And a different social media user penned: “So she makes one thing but eats something totally different. Go figure.”

The caption accompanying Meghan’s post read: “Adding this to our summer menu.

“Meghan’s favourite ice cream sundae with raspberry spread, vanilla ice cream, crumbled shortbread and flower sprinkles.”

She added in a newsletter to As Ever subscribers: For an easy dessert that is as gorgeous as it is tasty, scoop a spoonful (or two!) of Raspberry Spread or Blackberry Spread into the bottom of a large coupe glass.

“Add your favourite vanilla ice cream and top with crumbled shortbread for crunch. A scattering of Flower Sprinkles over the top adds a touch of colour and whimsy to this sweet treat. A simple dessert, made just a bit more celebratory.”
