Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have made one “obvious mistake” regarding the location they have reportedly chosen to live upon their return to the UK. The couple are said to have chosen to live in the Cotswolds, with their two children having completed a taster day at a school close to their new home on Monday.
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, now aged seven and five, were withdrawn from their original school last week after just two days. The reason behind Meghan and Harry’s decision to remove their children from their original school was due to heavy traffic, as well as the distance between the school and where they live, which is thought to have put their small, private security team under strain.
Former Sky News presenter Kay Burley has now pointed out the “obvious” flaw in the couple’s decision to relocate to the area.
Taking to X, she wrote: “Prince Harry has taken Archie and Lilibet out of their new school. After two days.
“Apparently, the children are being moved to another school after concerns were reportedly raised about the practicalities of getting them there safely. The problem? Heavy traffic and the security implications of the school run.”
She then added: “I live in that part of the Cotswolds and can testify to rush hour challenges. Which does rather beg the obvious question: did nobody think about any of this before term started?”
Sources close to the Sussexes have made clear there was no issue with the school itself, but rather with the practicalities of getting them there and back.

Speaking on the decision to remove the children from their school, a family spokesperson said: “The decision for the children to move school was taken following a discussion with the family’s security team about the practicalities of their current arrangements.
“The parents remain extremely grateful to all the teachers and staff for the love, care and effort they have shown their family.
“This decision should in no way be interpreted as a reflection on the school or the exceptional care the children have received there.”
