The Patriots succumbed to self-inflicted wounds in Sunday’s 20-13 loss to the Raiders, and Maxx Crosby was making sure to rub it in.
Mike Vrabel and the Patriots began their 2025 season with a Week 1 showdown with the Raiders on Sunday at rainy Gillette Stadium. Not much went right in front of the home crowd.
New Las Vegas starting quarterback Geno Smith exploded for 362 passing yards, and his teammate wanted to make sure Mike Vrabel knew about it.
While his team was up 7-0 in the game, Maxx Crosby was caught taunting Patriots head coach Vrabel, who was complaining to a ref.
The Patriots were playing this game without starting defensive back Christian Gonzalez in this game due to injury.

Following the loss, Vrabel told reporters that the loss would both be a challenge to the leadership and culture currently surrounding the team.
“We have a long way to go,” Vrabel said.
The team only had a total of 60 rushing yards compared to their 287 receiving.
