Prince George arrives at Eton with Prince William and Kate
Prince George looks all grown up in the iconic Eton College uniform, as Kensington Palace share three pictures of the young royal in his new school dress. Wearing a black tailcoat, waistcoat, pinstriped trousers and a stiff white collar, the 13-year-old smiles at the camera in the new official photographs marking his first day at the world-famous school.
Earlier on Tuesday, George arrived at the prestigious Berkshire boarding school in his ordinary clothes alongside his proud parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales. The trio walked through the historic School Yard quadrangle, which is framed by its most iconic medieval and 17th century structures, and were met by Eton’s headmaster and the school’s Provost.
After shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries in the rain, George and his parents headed inside to sign the school entrance book, which officially records each pupils enrollment at the school. William’s first day some 30 years ago was marked by him being pictured signing the historic book, while flanked by his parents and younger brother. And following his mother’s death a year earlier, Prince Harry was accompanied by just his father for the book signing.

Kensington Palace only announced that George was heading to Eton in June, as his parents are keen to safeguard their children’s privacy.
The historic private school founded in the 15th century charges annual fees of £65,673. This includes both tuition and full boarding, as the school doesn’t offer the option for pupils to enrol as day pupils.
George is expected to stay in the same house that his father and uncle joined, Manor House, but this will not be officially confirmed.
The elite boarding school for boys has a host of famous alumni, including 20 British prime ministers, acclaimed actors Eddie Redmayne and Tom Hiddleston and authors George Orwell and Ian Fleming. Several royals have also studied their, including William and Harry, and their uncle, Earl Spencer.
The future King greatly enjoyed his time at Eton and in an interview at the age of 18, he said: “I’ve really enjoyed being able to go about Eton as just another student.”
Eton is within close proximity to the Wales’s family home in Windsor, which will enable George to return home on weekends. His father would regularly pop into Windsor Castle to have tea with his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, during his five years at the College.
