SHOCK TWIST: EastEnders Drops Major Bombshell About Anthony Trueman During Patrick and Yolande’s Wedding
EastEnders has confirmed a past character will be returning for Patrick and Yolande Trueman’s wedding.
Patrick’s son Anthony will be back in Albert Square this summer, with Nicholas Bailey reprising the role. He last played Anthony 11 years ago, when he returned to support Patrick following a stroke.
He returns to Walford after hearing about the wedding, but something will happen that will lead to him staying around for longer than expected, but what could it be?
Bailey has already started filming, and he’s over the moon to be back.

“It is an unexpected treat to return to EastEnders and I’m full of gratitude to get the opportunity to revisit the character of Anthony,” he said.
“It’s wonderful to work with Rudolph Walker again – he’s such a big part of my journey as an actor and I loved filming my first scenes with him after so long.
“I’m excited to see what the passage of time has done to Anthony and explore his relationship with Patrick at this stage in their lives.”

The soap’s new boss Ben Wadey added: “It’s great to welcome Nicholas back to the EastEnders family to reunite Patrick with his son.
“But Anthony’s plan for a brief return to surprise his father ends up with him staying longer than he expected when he uncovers what has been going on in the Trueman household.”
Patrick and Yolande have experienced relationship and intimacy issues recently, due to a lack of communication after Yolande’s awful ordeal with Pastor Clayton.
The two recently had a frank conversation, and it led to a proposal.
