Just days after becoming prime minister, Andy Burnham was issued a scathing verdict on his premiership after he shared ideas on homelessness, energy, housing, employment, and defence. The UK leader was dealt the brutal blow on GB News, where presenter Beverly Turner was joined by journalist David Wooding, who predicted things would eventually “go wrong” for Burnham. The guest predicted: “He [Burnham] is going to run into trouble sooner than later, the country’s got some huge problems that need sorting out.
“We’ve already got the Burnham boats landing on the South coast, they’ve got migration, they’ve got the economy, everything else to deal with, and things are going to go wrong sooner rather than later.” Beverly echoed David sentiments, after highlighting that the politician has been “noticeably quiet on how he feels about migration and what he’s going to do about illegal migration, as well,” before questioning Burnham’s motives in doing so.

David responded: “Like the benefits welfare, the Labour Party as a whole and its backbenchers are not singing from the same hymn sheet as the general public.
“The general public wants migration cracking down on them, both legal and illegal. They also feel that it’s right to cut the welfare bill and put up taxes to pay for all these great ideas that Andy Burnham’s got.
The GB News guest pointed out: “The Labour Party in general and in particular his backbenchers don’t want that, so he’s got have some internal fighting ahead if he’s going to go in that direction, otherwise he’s not going to be doing what the public want.”
