Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara was seen for the first time since opera singer Wynne Evans’ vile s3xual comment came to light as she was support by husband Aljaz

Janette Manrara received the support of her husband Aljaz Skorjanec as she was seen for the first time since Wynne Evans’ s3xual comments emerged.
The professional dancer and Strictly It Takes Two host was seen having lunch with her husband and their daughter Lyra. They are currently taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour as they travel across the UK. Janette shared a sweet photo from their lunch together just hours after Evans’ remarks emerged.
The GoCompare advert star appeared at the launch of the tour in Birmingham that included a photocall with all the Strictly cast. Evans stood alongside fellow celebrities JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri, Montell Douglas, Shayne Ward and Jamie Borthwick. They were also joined by the Strictly professional dancers and huddled together for a photo.

Evans was recorded making an inappropriate s3xual comment to Janette when she walked over to the group. He sang out: “Go Compare,” before adding: “Not too close to Jamie.” He then used the hugely demeaning term “spit roast” in reference to a lewd s3xual act. In a statement, Evans told the Mirror: “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise.”
Just hours after his comment emerged, Janette posted sweet photos to her Instagram of Aljaz holding their two-year-old daughter Lyra. She giggled away in her dad’s arms before being joined by dancers Amy Dowden and Nancy Xu. Amy also took a selfie with Lyra and quipped: “She’s saying who’s this mad Welsh woman.” Janette was seen as she stepped out of the host in a black and white jumper and bobble hat in photos shared by the Daily Mail.
Just a few weeks ago, Evans faced backlash over an “inside joke” with dance partner Katya where he placed his hand on her waist before seeming to move it closer to her stomach. Katya appeared to brush away his hand as the pair stood side by side. Evans had also found himself at the centre of drama after a “vulgar” joke he reportedly made behind-the-scenes was “leaked”.
The opera singer claimed his double chin resembled a vagina as he got his make-up done backstage. In response to Evans’ latest vile remark, a BBC Studios spokesperson added: “We were not previously aware of the remark and did not receive any complaints. We have made it very clear to Wynne that we do not tolerate such behaviour on the tour.” Evans recently pulled out of the Strictly tour’s stint in Glasgow due to an ankle injury.

Despite the latest scandal, Evans appears to have the support of Katya as she shared a photo with the scandal-hit star. She re-shared a post, orginally posted by Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri as she, Tasha, Wynne and Jamie Borthwick sat in a bar, relaxing. Captioning her re-share, Katya penned: “Tour fam,” along with a red-heart emoji.
It’s not the first time Katya has come to Evans’ defence. Many fans were outraged at his apparent “grope”, yet the pair insisted it was a “silly inside joke”. Some, however, failed to buy the apology and explanation and called the singer’s actions inappropriate. It made Katya and Wynne even more determined to squash the backlash and interrupted their appearance on spin-off show It Takes Two.
Katya said: “Sorry Fleur [East], sorry, I will get onto dancing I promise but can I please first get something out of the way that I feel like overshadowed our performance for absolutely no reason and quite frankly, actually, I can’t bare sitting here watching this man [Wynne] being portrayed as someone he’s not.
“In fact, it couldn’t be further away from the truth so I have to make this absolutely clear that this whole incident with the hand and the high five on Saturday night it was an inside joke between Wynne and I. Was it a silly joke? Yes! Was it a bad joke? Yes!” Wynne interjected: “Yeah and I’ve watched it back, I can see how people may have misinterpreted it.”
Katya added: “Yeah but however, it was a joke and even the idea that it made me feel ‘uncomfortable’ or ‘offended’ in anyway is total nonsense. Those that have doubts, you guys have it got wrong! So hopefully this will be the end of it. You [Wynne] just keep making me smile, please!”
