Jamie Kern Lima has thanked Meghan Markle for a sweet birthday gift following the duchess’ public message this week.

Meghan sparked much discussion with a recent birthday message on Instagram as Queen Camilla turned 78. On July 16, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, took to Instagram to share a sweet video showing her preparing birthday gifts for her close friends.

The post, which went out on her personal Instagram Stories, featured Meghan’s hands unboxing a wooden crate filled with her newly released As Ever Napa Valley Rosé, white flowers, peaches, and a delicate woven bow.

“Sending birthday love (both near and far) to my ladies,” Meghan wrote over the clip, alongside a white heart emoji.

It came just hours before Queen Camilla celebrated her 78th birthday, with some fans speculating over whether Meghan’s message was discreetly for the royal.

However, it now seems clear who Meghan’s message and gift was for.

Meghan Markle’s birthday message and gift explained

The curated basket was seemingly part of a promotional push for As Ever.

Meghan’s rosé launched on July 1, a date with sentimental value for the duchess.

Not only is it Princess Diana’s birthday, but it also marks the anniversary of the day Meghan and Prince Harry first spoke back in 2016. The rosé sold out in under an hour.

Now, one of the lucky recipients of the duchess’ latest wine drop has publicly thanked her. Beauty mogul and IT Cosmetics co-founder Jamie Kern Lima, a longtime friend of Meghan’s, also took to Instagram to share her gratitude.

“@meghan thank you for the most magical birthday basket! Our friendship is a gift, as is your beautiful soul!” Jamie gushed over a photo of the artfully arranged As Ever gift.

The message didn’t stop there. In a separate slide, Jamie also reposted Meghan’s original video footage and added: “@meghan this is the most beautiful birthday basket… truly magical! Thank you for your heart and your friendship!”

Jamie Kern Lima, who turned 48 on July 16, spent her birthday surrounded by close friends at a Katy Perry concert.

While Meghan didn’t appear in the carousel of celebratory photos shared from the event, her presence was clearly felt through her thoughtful birthday gesture.

The public exchange between the two comes just a few months after Meghan appeared on The Jamie Kern Lima Show. The episode marked her first-ever podcast appearance as a guest.

Although Meghan has hosted two of her own series (Archetypes on Spotify and Confessions of a Female Founder on Lemonada Media), this April interview marked her debut in the guest seat.

In the emotional sit-down, she opened up about everything from motherhood and ambition to public scrutiny, personal resilience, and the origins of her and Harry’s nicknames.

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex has stayed focused on building her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

After her debut wine sold out quickly, a press release confirmed more varietals are on the way, including a sparkling Méthode Champenoise from Napa Valley.

The rosé followed her earlier release of small-batch apricot jam, which also sold out this summer.

Although the rapid sellouts created buzz, Meghan admitted on Confessions of a Female Founder that scarcity wasn’t the goal.

“I want to move away from that scarcity mentality,” she told guest Tina Knowles. “I don’t want you to eat that jam once every six months, I want that to be on your shelf all the time.”
