Kate Garraway was back on Good Morning Britain this Friday along with Robert Rinder but had to cut off Andi Peters, who was engrossed in a conversation with Charlotte Hawkins.
Kate Garraway shut down Andi Peters this Friday on Good Morning Britain – and his response was surprising.
The live TV blunder came this Friday while Kate was introducing a new competition which could allow one lucky viewer to bag a whopping £250k.
But as she called for Andi Peters to take over and introduce the game, the presenter was shocked to find him in the midst of a conversation with Charlotte Hawkins.
The segment began as Kate said: “Andi is so excited about the prize,” while the camera panned over Andi and Charlotte, engrossed in their exchange.
Kate tried to nudge Andi as she added: “He’s got up early. He’s joining us in the studio. He’s having a good old gossip with Charlotte Hawkins… ignoring us?” But when Andi still didn’t respond, she had to shout for her co-star to pay attention.

This prompted the star to apologise with a one-word answer: “Sorry!”, he yelled before adding: “I was just telling Charlotte she looks like she’s been tangoed.” Which led to a tense conversation about Charlotte’s attire for the day as she’d picked a bright orange dress.
“Yeah, thanks for that”, she replied, leading Kate to echo: “We’re a couple of highlighter pens this morning, Charlotte and I”, in reference to her own pink blouse.
In another recent segment aired on the morning staple this Thursday, June 27, Kate Garraway struggled to hold back her tears as she questioned Tara and Martin Cosser, whose son Charlie was stabbed to death at a party last year. He was 17 years old.
Tara and Martin have worked hard to raise awareness around knife crime since the tragedy, as the former said: “We say ‘if it can happen to Charlie, it can happen to anybody’.”
Kate responded: “And that’s the message that you’re now going into schools to encourage people to learn.” Martin said that he had already led “a number of talks” to share the message.
This led the host to comment: “And your own grief, you know the centre of that sort of stone that ripples out… people react in different ways. How have you tried to manage the last year and what do you want people to know about how hard it is, really?”
Tara continued: “Martin and I grieve in very different ways. I feel comfort … well, not comfort … but I want to be at home. That’s where Charlie was, all my memories. That’s too painful for Martin – he wants to escape. So we don’t actually spend a huge [amount] of time together in the house.”
She continued: “It’s just a very, very lonely place because no one can possibly understand unless you’ve been through this. We have a very tight group of friends who help us – they’re just there. They don’t try and tell us what we should be doing.” Kate herself has an extensive understanding of grief following the death of her husband Derek Draper.
