It remains quite unbelievable that Luka Doncic is no longer playing for the Dallas Mavericks and has headed west to play for the Lakers.
A trade that went down so shocking had thousands thinking the reporter who delivered the news was hacked.
Late Saturday night to early Sunday morning, the Mavericks traded Luka Doncic to the Lakers.
The Mavericks received Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a 2029 first-round pick as part of the trade. Los Angeles received Doncic, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris.
After he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, Doncic released a statement thanking the Dallas Mavericks and the team’s fanbase for his tenure with the organization.
“I thought I’d spend my career here, and I wanted so badly to bring you a championship,” Dončić said in the statement posted on social media. “The love and support you all have given me is more than I could have ever dreamed of. For a young kid from Slovenia coming to the U.S. for the first time, you made North Texas feel like home.”
Luka Doncic’s future wife also had something to say.
Doncic’s model fiancee, Anamaria Goltes, took to her Instagram story and wrote, “Thank you.”
Doncic landed with Dallas as part of a draft-day deal in 2018 after the Atlanta Hawks selected him third overall.
He would reward the team by becoming one of the most accomplished players in the Association over his seven-and-a-half years with the Mavs.
Before his trade, he had racked up five All-NBA nods, made five All-Star Games, won the 2019 Rookie of the Year, captured the 2023-24 scoring title, and led the Mavericks to the 2024 NBA Finals.
Luka Doncic Gives The Lakers Their Star of The Future
Luka is the present and the future.
Even if the Luka-LeBron pairing doesn’t work in the short term, the Lakers have ensured that they will have their superstar of the future after LeBron’s eventual retirement.
In five years, LeBron and Davis’ careers are likely to be over, and the Lakers will have absolutely nothing going forward.
Their future is now secured.

One guy on TikTok decided to answer that question by revealing that the vast majority of his division-1 friends in college or headed to the league are dating or married to white women and explained why.
He stated that some of them had told him that their white girlfriend looked up to Taylor Swift while their girlfriend looked up to Megan The Stallion. He then states the guy asks how many white women he has seen doing the Megan Thee Stallion challenge as opposed to Black women.
He then dove into another story of a friend who relayed that his Black girlfriend started to request money from him as soon as she found out about his NIL money. She wanted her hair and nails done. He then added that the Black women would be upset if they went to places like Chipotle, and she demanded steak houses.
