Super Bowl LIX proved to be a disaster for Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs, but he enjoyed the time he spent with Taylor Swift in New Orleans by attending the ‘sexiest restaurant in town’

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift left fans stunned as they visited a busy New Orleans restaurant in the lead-up to Super Bowl LIX, and the meal the couple ordered has been revealed.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his pop superstar girlfriend attended Lilette, a highly rated French and Italian-themed eatery in New Orleans’ Magazine Street, on Friday, less than 48 hours before the Chiefs suffered a shocking blowout defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles at Caesars Superdome.

The couple met with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany for dinner at a spot dubbed “the sexiest restaurant in town,” which, according to one review, “is filled with attractive young couples stealing the odd smooch on creamy banquettes.”

Swift opted for a burger and fries for her main, while Kelce chose the $37 hangar steak with fries and marrowed bordelaise. And according to the Daily Mail, the couple also got a dish to share, splitting Lilette’s signature Louisiana crab claws with passion fruit butter.

“They were very normal and had a complete blast,” a source said. “[They were in a] tremendously good mood [and they] anticipated a different outcome and result in the game.”

Kansas City was chasing an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl triumph on Sunday, but it proved no match for the Eagles, who took control of the game early thanks to its suffocating defense before Jalen Hurts found his flow in the passing game and led Philly to a remarkable 40-22 victory.

Whether 35-year-old Kelce should call time on his four-time All-Pro career and retire in the wake of Sunday’s disappointment has been a source of intense debate in recent days, and the future Hall of Famer addressed the speculation on Wednesday’s edition of his ‘New Heights’ podcast.

“I know everybody wants to know whether I am playing next year, and right now, I am just kicking everything down the road. I am kicking every can I can down the road,” he said.

“I am not making any crazy decisions, but right now, the biggest thing is just being there for my teammates and being there for my coaches, understanding there’s a lot that goes into this thing. I’ve been fortunate over the past five, six years, I’ve played more football than anybody.

“The fact that we keep going to these AFC Championships and Super Bowls, that means I’m playing an extra three games more than everybody else in the entire league. That’s a lot of wear and tear on your body.

“It’s a lot of time in the building… that process can be grueling. It can weigh on you. It can make you better and it can drive you crazy. Right now, it was one of those things where it was driving me crazy this year. It happens as you tail off towards the back nine of your career.”
