Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings has his hands in many things, which several game show fans have uncovered and discussing on social media

Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings has many irons in the fire outside of the game show, and his side gigs have many fans curious.

Netizens have uncovered a video of Ken speaking about transit, and during the clip, his side gigs were revealed, including hosting a parade, a podcast, a video series, writing books, and more. “What’s Ken up to when not hosting?” a Reddit user inquired. One of the first side job fans discovered was a video for the Transit Effect, in which he discussed “how transit influences infrastructure, economies, culture, and opportunity,” according to the website.

The Transit Effect is a seven-part video series, with the first video being available now.

Ken used to regularly use public transportation, specifically in college when he was a student at the University of Washington. The TV personality would take the train to visit his family in Edmonds.

“I think it’s neat to see what our host is doing outside of his day job. And, as a Seattle resident who doesn’t drive (so I see the inside of buses like the one Ken sat in very regularly), I adore that he’s doing this work for transit,” a Reddit user shared.

“This is so wholesome,” another added.

Additionally, aside from talking about transit, Ken was also the Grand Marshall for he 2025 National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, which occurred on April 12.

“Colorful helium balloons, elaborate floats, marching bands from across the country, celebrity entertainers, and performers burst down the Parade route in a spectacle of music and showmanship celebrating spring in DC,” per the website.

While Ken was serving as the Grand Marshall, he was an honored individual and got featured at the front of the parade.

“It’s the National Cherry Blossom Festival parade! I’m in the booth! Who wants some facts about marching bands, pageant winners, and regional theater?” Ken uploaded on Instagram.

“While I was at the big DC parade, Teddy Roosevelt ran over from the Nats game and immediately got distracted by my acclaimed Junior Genius books for kids. He thought they were bully; look at that grin,” he captioned another photo from the parade.

On top of that, Ken is a published author himself. Ken has written numerous children’s books, such as the aforementioned The Junior Genius Guides Series.

Ken’s most recent release was the 2023 work 100 Places to See After You Die: A Travel Guide to the Afterlife.

Additionally, Ken has also dropped trivia books, geography help, and guides for parents.
