Micah Parsons close to tears after ‘devastating’ exit of Mike McCarthy and hints at huge Dallas Cowboys changes
Defensive powerhouse also addressed the future of free agents

And Parsons, 25, thinks there will be big changes in Dallas this off-season.
McCarthy’s contract officially ran out Tuesday, leaving him a free agent and the Dallas Cowboys without a head coach.
He held extensive meetings with the franchise last week but a new deal could not be agreed.
Parsons said on his show The Edge, “Obviously very sad because of the relationships with coach McCarthy and everything he’s done for our program.
“Three straight 12-5 seasons, playoffs appearances and an unfortunate year due to injuries.
“It is devastating. Mike is a great father, coach.
“He’s one of the winningest coach and losing him hurts.”
Dallas finished 7-10 and have some major decisions to make both in terms of coaching and players.
Parsons is entering the final year of his rookie deal and is set to make $24 million in 2025.
His contract situation is a top priority for Dallas this off-season after claims he could instead be traded in an effort to help a rebuild.

“It’s going to be a very interesting and challenging off-season,” Parsons admitted.
“With the free agents and coaches, it’s going to be a complete reset.
“I trust my owner and GM that we’re going to make the right decisions.
“There’s no security in this league and that’s the dangerous thing.”
Deion Sanders has been linked with the vacant Cowboys head coach role.

Deion Sanders becoming head coach of the Dallas Cowboys is a match made in heaven.
It’s been 30 years now since the Cowboys last won a Super Bowl and something has to change.
This is “America’s Team,” but it has become a laughing stock and needs someone to restore them to their past glory.
That candidate who takes over from Mike McCarthy at head coach must have some magic and inspiration.
Step forward, Deion Sanders.
Sanders, 57, is one of the best players to have ever stepped on the field and was on Dallas’ team the last time they won a Super Bowl.
He is quite literally ‘Prime Time’ and that spark is exactly what the Cowboys need.
As for Deion, now is the perfect time for him to move on as well.
He has taken the Buffaloes to new heights both in terms of results and popularity.
His son, Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, is also in his senior year in college.
Sanders could probably land a head coaching job on a legitimate national championship contender if he wants to stay in college.
But a chance to coach the Dallas Cowboys may not come calling again.
Kellen Moore has also been mooted, as has franchise icon Jason Witten.
But Parsons wouldn’t be drawn on who the next coach in Dallas will be.
“Speculation is speculation,” he said.
Parsons has developed a reputation as one of the most fearsome defensive players in the league.
He was the No. 12 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and is a four-time Pro Bowler already.
