The former This Morning star has had a major lifestyle change.

Holly Willoughby is now celebrating things in life that she may have once taken for granted. The former This Morning star left fans speechless when she stepped away from the ITV show, not long after her co-star Phillip Schofield.

Holly – firstly, are you ok? Does it feel very strange? It should, because back in October 2023, the star decided to leave the daytime programme after 14 years of sitting on the infamous sofa. But her latest social media post has proven that could have been the biggest mistake she ever made. She once made a living out of rubbing shoulders with other celebs as she got to grill them live on air. Holly was always up to date with all of the latest showbiz news, meeting so many famous faces as they appeared on This Morning. But now, she is clearly out of the loop. On Friday, she shared a snap of her with Traitors stars Rachel and Jade as she wrote: “Oh my goodness… I was fan girling!!! So great to meet you both.”

Holly had momentarily come back into the limelight to attend the King’s Trust 50th Gala when she bumped into the BBC stars.

But the snap shared just how much her life has changed. She once would have been interviewing them on This Morning as The Traitors was airing, but now she is only just getting to meet the stars many weeks after the competition came to an end.

Holly went from working with Hollywood actors, including Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, to ‘fangirling’ over a chance meeting of reality TV stars – And I find that quite sad.

The fact that she left the show due to safety concerns is also somewhat heartbreaking. She made the decision after police uncovered a “horrifying” and “graphic” plot by a security guard, Gavin Plumb, to kidnap, seduce, and murder the presenter.

But then she continued in showbiz, after a short break, with her once more having to adjust to life without Phil on Dancing on Ice. And soon enough, that too blew up in her face as the show was axed completely.

The post, to me, proves that Holly might miss the life that she once had. I think she may have thought her break from showbiz could have been temporary but it actually broke her whole career instead – and she currently has no TV shows airing, as both her ITV and Netflix projects were axed.
