Cat Deeley made a hilarious return to This Morning after a mysterious absence, but it didn’t take long for her to admit to a major blunder that left everyone laughing.
During Cat’s absence, Ben was joined by guest co-presenters including Angela Scanlon (pictured) and Alison Hammond
The 49-year-old presenter had been missing from the ITV daytime show for several episodes, with Angela Scanlon and Alison Hammond stepping in to cover for her. However, as she reunited with Ben Shephard on the March 2nd episode, Cat didn’t hold back in revealing an off-camera mishap that occurred before the show even went live.
It comes after Cat was previously left blushing when one of her This Morning co-stars complimented her bottom live on air
Ben cheekily teased, “She’s back and do you know what she’s already done?” before Cat jokingly replied, “Oh, go on then, tell them.” Ben then revealed that Cat had sat on an iPad — causing it to break and, as Cat put it, “blowing the budget” for the show.
Laughing at herself, Cat explained, “I was putting my shoe on and I thought, ‘You know what, I need to sit down or I’m going to fall on my face and lose my teeth.’”
She continued, “So I sat on it and it just went crack. So I’ve already blown the budget, my butt.” The light-hearted admission had fans and the studio audience in stitches, showcasing Cat’s good-natured approach to her little blunder.
During her time away from the show, This Morning fans had been buzzing about her absence, with many taking to social media to question where Cat had gone. One fan wrote, “Where’s Cat?” while others wondered if Angela Scanlon was a permanent replacement. Despite some criticism, many fans praised Angela for her performance, noting the great chemistry between her and Ben.
“I think Angela’s a breath of fresh air,” one fan commented. “Can we see more of this duo?” Another added, “Angela is natural and down-to-earth. I’d love to see her on the show more often!”
As for Cat, her return brought back the laughs, but it’s clear her absence only added to the mystery. Whether it was the missing This Morning host or the iPad debacle, one thing’s for sure — her return was nothing short of entertaining.
