BREAKING NEWS: Prince Harry just scored a huge win – Beatrice and Eugenie will be fuming
It’s good news for Harry today, but Beatrice and Eugenie won’t be quite so happy after a new poll, writes Jasmine Carey.

You know things are bad when a prince that most of the UK once seemed to dislike is more popular than you. And it seems that reality will be hitting home today for Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
While the princesses are not working royals, they are very much in the public eye. Whether they are at royal events in the background, or out partying in London, the sisters make headlines frequently. The problem is, the headlines over the last nine months haven’t been the kind you want.

Rather than the headlines that used to surround them, which would be about their latest fashion choices or their favourite lunch haunts, this has changed massively this year, thanks to the scandals surrounding their parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson.
In fact, it wasn’t just the scandals with their parents. It was them too, with their names appearing in emails sent between the late convicted paedophile Epstein and their mother, Sarah, years ago.
This did not show the sisters in a negative light and did not suggest any wrongdoing by them, but it did result in them being part of the whirlwind of scandal.
And while they may have thought, and hoped, that the whirlwind would blow over in time, it seems that it has – but it’s taken their popularity with it.
In the latest YouGov poll, conducted between July 21 and July 22, only 30% of respondents had a positive view of Beatrice, and just 29% felt the same about Eugenie.
These aren’t great figures. Especially when their cousin Prince Harry, who has for some years been widely criticised by Brits, scores higher.

With 33% of the 2063 adults surveyed having a positive view of Harry, this does not look good for the cousins.
I mean, Harry spent years criticising his royal relatives, doing bombshell interviews, and even writing an explosive memoir.
All valid reasons people aren’t too keen on him.
Meanwhile, Beatrice and Eugenie haven’t actually personally done anything wrong. Yet here they are, below their controversial cousin in the popularity ranks.
I’m sure they will be fuming about this. Not fuming at Harry or themselves. But fuming at their parents, Andrew and Sarah. Because if their parents weren’t so entangled in scandals, it’s very likely the princesses wouldn’t have taken this popularity hit. Unless it’s simply down to the fact that people don’t like the fact that they live on royal properties rent-free, but I think this wouldn’t warrant such a fall from grace.
Unlucky Beatrice and Eugenie is all I can say.
