The Chiefs will prepare to take on the Chicago Bears in their final preseason game on Friday.

But first, Patrick Mahomes’ squad has elected to send a wideout to another team.

The Chiefs traded wide receiver Skyy Moore to the San Francisco 49ers, per ESPN.

The two teams will swap sixth and seventh-round picks in the 2027 NFL Draft in the deal.

Moore, 24, was drafted by Kansas City in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

He won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs in 2023 and 2024.

Moore played in 36 games in his three seasons with the franchise.

However, the Western Michigan product didn’t live up to his expectations.

Moore recorded 43 receptions for 494 yards and no touchdowns in 36 games.

And he didn’t catch a single pass last season due to a core muscle injury.

Luckily for the Chiefs, he did contribute in a Super Bowl when the team needed him the most.

During Kansas City’s Super Bowl 57 victory against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023, Moore caught a touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.

This preseason, he posted an 88-yard punt return for a touchdown in a preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks last week.

The 49ers’ trade for Moore comes as they have a major need at the wide receiver position.

Star wideout Brandon Aiyuk is recovering from knee surgery and isn’t expected to play until at least Week 6.

Fellow starter Jauan Jennings has been out of training camp due to a calf injury.

Rookie Jordan Watkins is out with a high ankle sprain, and second-year player Jacob Cowing is dealing with a hamstring injury.

And coach Kyle Shanahan revealed on Wednesday that Demarcus Robinson received a three-game suspension after pleading no contest last month to a misdemeanor DUI charge.
