JOHN Cena has thrown Al Roker over his shoulder in order to do squats with him on an episode of Today.
During his time on Today, actor and wrestler John showed off some of his favorite workout moves.

On Friday, John showed up to NBC studios to promote his upcoming film Argyle, and to chat it up with Al, Dylan Dreyer, and Sheinelle Jones.
The WWE superstar’s appearance led the hosts to take a stroll down memory lane to when John visited them in 2018 and led an exercise segment.
In the segment, John shared that exercise moves could be done anywhere, and invited a few people to try things out while in studio.
There were mats set up on the floor for everyone to try out his suggestions.
John, now 46, stressed that there was “no excuse” to not be able to perform the exercises as they could be done anywhere.
Al sat off to the side, watching everyone for most of the presentation.
That is, until Al, now 69, suddenly became a part of the workout.
“When you get to the advanced stage, all you do is add weight,” John explained to his participants.
Al had moved beside John while spectating at this point.
“Like Al Roker,” the star added as he shocked everyone by picking the famous weatherman up and throwing him over his shoulder.
He walked a few steps forward, straightened himself out, and started doing squats with Al on his back.
“So it would be like this,” he said.
“It’s very easy and you don’t have to get to a gym! I’m not trying to sell you anything, I just want to help you get a better body!”
Al couldn’t help but joke while on John’s shoulders.
“He’s working with dumbbells!” he shouted.
DOING AL-RIGHT
Al is open about staying fit, and he made an appearance on his daughter Leila’s podcast called Cross Culture this week.
Leila, 25, kicked off her first Instagram live podcast with Al, who quickly cracked a joke about his age.
“Not bad for an old guy! So we’re able to do this,” he said, referring to the live video tech.
“And quickly! So that’s impressive,” his daughter replied.
Al introduced the podcast hosts, explaining he and Leila were joined by her best friend Lauren, who she met studying abroad in Paris 6 years ago.
The lighthearted intro showcased Al’s wit as he self-deprecatingly marveled at mastering the Instagram live platform “for an old guy.”
Leila laughed at her dad’s comments before getting on with her interview.
NEW MOVES
Meanwhile, Al made an unexpected announcement that took viewers by surprise earlier this week.
He shared his exciting news in an Instagram video.
There, he revealed he’d be heading to Miami in March to cover climate change for Aspen Ideas: Climate.
“I’m thrilled to announce I am returning to Miami Beach for Aspen Ideas: Climate March 11th through the 13th,” the Today host announced.
He said the multi-day event finds global change-makers convening while focused on solution-oriented climate discussions.
“News flash – beloved Weather and Feature Anchor, Today and Co-host, 3rd Hour of Today, Al Roker is taking his talents to Miami Beach for Aspen Ideas: Climate,” he added.
“I hope to see you there!” Al said as the clip concluded.
