THERE was chaos on the set of This Morning when Strictly star Vito Coppola cooked for Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

Italian dancer Vito joined the hosts to make Valentine’s Day themed cake, but fans accused him of taking Gino D’Acampo’s job.

Alongside entertaining millions on Strictly, Vito also won Celebrity MasterChef – and looked delighted to be on telly whipping up a Millefoglie cake on the show, to celebrate the day of love.

Now This Morning fans are convinced the cheeky Italian will take over from celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo, who first appeared on This Morning’s cooking segment in 2010.

Italian-born Gino is now facing allegations of inappropriate and intimidating behaviour spanning over 15 years.

He hasn’t been seen on This Morning since last year – having often left audiences cringing or downright shocked by his risqué jokes and total disregard for political correctness.

In response, Gino has firmly denied all allegations, describing them as “deeply upsetting” and inconsistent with his character.

In his absence on This Morning, viewers have branded Vito as a potential replacement following his animated appearance on the show today.

On X, one person wrote: “Fake Gino, he’s far too hyper, who decided to have him on this segment?”

Another said: “Must be Gino’s mate, another loud mouth.”

A third echoed: “Gino must be furious watching this right now.”

Someone else added: “It’s Gino, without the bad language.”

Someone else said: “Like for like replacement for Gino.”

Other This Morning viewers called the segment chaotic, as Vito was seen squirting cream into Alison’s mouth.

Vito also dropped her cake all over the work top before she had chance to tuck into it, and had to be given a fresh slice as a result.

It comes as it was revealed that staff on This Morning raised concerns about scandal-hit chef Gino 10 years ago.

Several crew and production members flagged issues with bosses about D’Acampo, including bullying and s3xually inappropriate comments.

ITV management was alerted as recently as 2023, we can reveal.

“He knew he was ‘The Talent’ and would throw his weight around. A lot of people found him to be a bully, but felt they weren’t taken seriously when they approached senior staff members.

“Gino seemed to get away with it because it was all part of his cheeky charm and appeal, but underneath there was something more sinister.”
