Deion Sanders may not remain in the Big 12 for much longer.
The Pro Football Hall of Famer and former Cowboys star was named as a potential target for the Cowboys in their search for a new head coach.
Sanders became Colorado’s head coach in December 2022 and has led the Buffaloes through a terrible season and a much better one in 2024.
Now, many think that he is on the way to Dallas.
BetMGM took things further by cracking the code on Deion Sanders.
One post on X had Sanders writing an uplifting message, “We all have Mountains we must climb & trials that we face. You ain’t no different than anyone else that God has created. We all share mess that causes us stress if we don’t exercise our faith & trust God. Climb & handle it daily baby. Go & don’t stop, u got this.”
BetMGM circled a letter throughout that post that shows Sanders might be headed to coach the Cowboys.
Despite speaking with Jerry Jones, Sanders has not yet had a formal interview with the Cowboys about the head coach opening.
Before Sanders was making waves as a college coach, he was a star at Florida State.
He played in the league for 14 seasons, five of which he spent with Dallas. He helped the team win Super Bowl XXX in 1996 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Deion Sanders Responds to Dallas Cowboys Coaching Rumors
It took just hours between the Dallas Cowboys announcing Mike McCarthy was out as head coach for Deion to have his name floating as th enext up in Big D.
Sanders confirmed to ESPN’s Adam Schefter that he’s spoken with owner Jerry Jones, but he also spoke about how much he loves his current situation.
“To hear from Jerry Jones is truly delightful, and it’s intriguing,” Sanders said. “I love Jerry and believe in Jerry. After you hang up and process it, and think about it, it’s intriguing. But I love Boulder and everything there is about our team, the coaches, our student body, and the community.”
