Coronation Street spoilers reveal the secrets of Maggie Driscoll’s past will come to light, while there’s concern for one resident and a worrying discovery for another

There’s huge moments ahead in December on Coronation Street, including a special flashback episode.
We finally find out more about Maggie Driscoll, and what made her the woman she is today. There’s secrets and truths about her past as we go back in time, revealing all sorts linked to her family.
A special episode on Maggie’s birthday sees tensions flaring in the pub, with her feud with daughter-in-law Eva Price rumbling on. By the end of the episode, viewers will be left wondering what Maggie could be capable of, and if Eva may need to watch her back.

In the flashbacks, we see a glimpse of Maggie’s earlier life. It features her husband, the father of her son Ben, with an actress playing younger Maggie as we see what happened years earlier.
Also next month, Maggie’s grandson Will may find his inappropriate relationship with his athletics coach Megan exposed. Will doesn’t realise he is being groomed, but Megan’s possible new romance with Daniel Osbourne leaves him upset.
Will makes a pass at a stunned Lauren Bolton, leading to his stepmother Eva asking him to apologise. Lauren assures him all is fine, but when she spots Will and Megan later on she’s left uneasy – so will she expose groomer Megan?
Elsewhere, Debbie Webster gets a shock when she realises she’s made a mistake and accidentally booked the wedding venue for 2027 instead of 2026. Fearing she may be too poorly by then amid her dementia diagnosis, she’s told by Carl Webster and Abi Franklin not to panic, as they set off to find a new venue – which they manage to for three weeks time.
But when Debbie decides to invite brother Carl and his new partner Abi to the wedding, her groom Ronnie reckons she’s making a mistake and that her brother Kevin, Abi’s ex-husband, will refuse to attend after Abi and Carl’s affair.

Soon, Ronnie is proven right as Kevin thrusts the invitation back at Debbie. Also in upcoming scenes, Joanie reveals that she’s invited some friends round for a Christmas party, so Sally and Tim go all out for her with a buffet.
But Sally might cause trouble when she promises the girls that she’ll sort out a visit with their mum Lou on Christmas Day, with husband Tim fearing she won’t be able to stick to it. Tyrone Dobbs struggles next week as he learns the police are nowhere nearer to finding out who ran him over.
Christina Boyd and George Shuttleworth discuss his falling out with Todd Grimshaw, as Christina urges him to make up with him. Soon they are alarmed when Gary Windass tells them he’s heard a massive crash coming from Todd and Theo’s flat.
Finally next week, David Platt is taken aback when he returns home to find wife Shona having a baby shower, amid their recent worrying news about their unborn child. David is uneasy and tells Shona it seems inappropriate given that their baby is such high risk, leaving the guests embarrassed.
