Strictly Come Dancing has been thrown into further disarray as fan-favourite performer La Voix has confirmed she will not be taking part in the hugely anticipated Blackpool Week, after suffering an injury that has left her unable to perform.
Her withdrawal marks yet another blow for the BBC competition, which has already seen multiple celebrities exit in recent weeks due to illness and medical complications.
The BBC issued an official statement confirming the news, saying:
“Due to injury, La Voix has been advised by doctors to rest and, as a result, will not dance in this weekend’s Blackpool specials. In line with the rules of Strictly Come Dancing, La Voix and Aljaz will receive a bye through to next week when it is hoped they will be able to dance again.”
