TV host Lorraine Kelly summed up her thoughts on Meghan Markle’s Netflix TV show in just one word as the Duchess of Sussex receives mixed reviews on the series

Lorraine Kelly had one simple word to say as she gave her honest opinion on Meghan Markle’s TV series.

The Duchess of Sussex’s new eight-part Netflix series titled With Love, Meghan, invites viewers into Meghan’s home life as she chats with celebrity guests and share lifestyle insights and culinary tips with her guests. However, it hasn’t gone down well with viewers so far as it has been slammed as “nonsense” by TV critics while some viewers brand it “out of touch”.

Described as a “lifestyle programming”, With Love, Meghan was originally scheduled to arrive on the platform on 15 January. However, the wildfires in Los Angeles prompted Meghan to delay the new series, which launched on Tuesday (March 4). Some viewers have claimed that Prince Harry’s wife is trying to look like a ‘housewife’ and is trying to copy ‘Martha Stewart’ by selling herself as a homemaker.

However, other fans revealed they were enjoying the show and seeing a more relaxed Meghan. Lorraine Kelly offered her own thoughts while on her ITV morning show. She was asked by entertainment host Ross King what she thought of the show, to which Lorraine quipped: “Meh.”

She then explained: “I was not offended in any way but it was a wee bit dull. It’s just not my thing. I wouldn’t watch shows like that normally anyway. I saw the first episode, that was enough – fair play to her, she’s launching her business.”

Viewers took to X to share their thoughts after watching the series as one fumed: “I’m not even 30 seconds into the first episode and I already know that With Love, Meghan is the FAKEST stuff ever.” Another echoed: “Six minutes of with love Meghan… ok only for richest people..so.. bye bye.” While someone else added: “All of Meghan Markle’s “recipes” can be found on Pinterest.”

However, others revealed that they were enjoying the show as one gushed: “I’m watching With Love, Meghan and it’s delightful. I will never understand the people whose entire personalities are hating her. It’s sickening.” Another agreed: “People just love to hate Meghan for no reason and are constantly putting her up against Kate. They are two different people. Let the woman live.”

When the host asked Thomas Sr’s thoughts, Thomas Jr jibed: “I didn’t have enough heart medication for him to watch it. I didn’t want him to kick the bucket, so I’d have to go refill the prescription before I let him watch it.” He also claimed the former Suits star “didn’t cook anything for anybody ever growing up,” despite her claims. And he also slammed Meghan’s previous claims that she grew up poor. He said: “That’s just another one of the malarkey stories she sold to the Royal Family for sympathy. We weren’t poor. She didn’t have to rub two nickels together at Sizzler’s salad bar.”
