Piers Morgan issued a blistering response to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest UK move. On Wednesday night (August 19), it was announced that the royal couple plan to move back to the UK to raise their children in the Duke of Sussex’s home country, according to reports. The Duke and Duchess left the UK six years ago, shortly after they stepped back from royal life.
But it is understood that the couple will leave their Hollywood home behind for a UK homestead at the end of August. It has been reported that the couple’s children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, will be enrolled on a British school.

It is also believed that the family will live in a private, non-royal residence following reports that they won’t return to life as working royals. After the news hit the headlines, the 61-year-old broadcaster took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share his thoughts on the update online.
He simply shared the news with a facepalm emoji as his fellow fans flocked to the comments to express their outrage. One user penned: “I only came on here for your reaction [cry-laughing emoji]”, as another agreed: “Very much looking forward to you dissecting their reasoning for coming back to the UK.”
A third agreed: “Six years of interviews, books, and Netflix documentaries later… and they’re moving back. The plot twist nobody asked for.” A fourth predicted: “Meghan will want to go home… within a year. I think this is where we will see their marriage end. Just my opinion, though.”

Meanwhile, others suggested that their move back to the UK was linked to the King’s health: “I suspect this is driven by the King’s health…” Another agreed: “The King must be close to death and wants to see his grandkids before he goes…”

The Telegraph reports that the King was informed of the move on Sunday night (August 16) and was pleased to learn that he will be able to see the family more when they return to Britain. The Prince and Princess of Wales, who have not been on speaking terms with Harry and Meghan for some time, have also been informed of the news, the outlet claims.
While Harry and Meghan may be returning to the UK and enrolling their children at school here, it is believed they will keep their mansion in Montecito, California. They purchased the mansion in 2020 after leaving royal life behind when they moved across the pond. The couple will also reportedly keep their holiday home in Portugal.
