Once again, David Muir has fans hot under the collar with his dashing looks, but this time it comes in the form of a personal update.
Fans are used to seeing the 51-year-old journalist on their screens every night, delivering hard-hitting news, but on Sunday, he decided to give his fan base a look into his life away from the ABC World News Tonight desk.
Taking to Instagram, David shared a very handsome snap of himself in the driver’s seat of a motorboat on a sunny day. He beamed a bright smile as the wind brushed through his hair. “Is it really nearly august already,” David asked in his caption, followed by a very fitting rowing boat emoji.
He rocked casual attire in a navy polo and brown trendy shades. The bottom half of the ABC anchor’s look was out of the shot, but David still had fans swooning in the comments.

Aside from hundreds of love-struck faces and fire flame emojis, fans complimented David on his looks. “Whew so handsome– lovely photo,” one fan commented as a second said, “love him.. easy on the eyes & brilliant.”
Another echoed, “You get more handsome everyday!” with a fourth pointing out, “The camera loves you …and we do too!” The flirty comments continued throughout David’s comment section, with another gushing fan joking, “What a stud. Wish I was the wheel.”
“Handsome, intelligent, kind etc. Too many adjectives. Thank you for sharing!!” chimed in a sixth. It comes as David, who is notoriously very private, gave fans the chance to get to know him a little better when he took part in an interview with People Magazine last month.
And it turns out he is living his childhood dream, but that has come with knowing he was always different from the rest of his friends growing up. The ABC World News Tonight anchor explained that during his childhood, he would always run home to watch the news, something none of his other friends were in a rush to do.
He told the outlet, “I was a nerd who felt this gravitational pull to the news, starting back when I was 12 years old. I remember being outside, playing with the rest of the kids in the neighborhood and being the only kid who would go inside when the local news came on, and then watching Peter Jennings, who I thought was sort of the James Bond of the evening news, the globetrotter.”
David explained that Peter resembled an “opportunity to get out there beyond your backyard and see the world,” admitting, “There was always this incredible pull. ”
The TV hunk also revealed that he used to write letters to local reporters asking to get work experience with them, “I began interning, carrying all the equipment — and back then the equipment was huge and heavy — and I’d jump into the back of the cruiser and I was honestly the happiest kid.”
