One Piece has just given IShowSpeed a blessing, as the creator now has the perfect weapon to beat his biggest rival streamers.
SUMMARY
IShowSpeed claims that the producer of One Piece has given him permission to use the anime in his streams without the danger of copyright strikes.
This means, the creator is now free to use One Piece episodes for his content, and he might even make a marathon out of it.
This movie will not only help IShowSpeed gain new viewers but also profit One Piece as it might gain more fans.
IShowSpeed, one of the biggest American YouTubers, has confessed his love for anime plenty of times. His favorite anime of them all is One Piece, which proves how the series has maintained its impact despite having debuted more than two decades ago. IShowSpeed is one of the thousands of people whose hearts the anime has touched.
However, anime fans have been skeptical about whether IShowSpeed is an actual otaku or not, given that One Piece is one of the most popular mainstream anime. However, a recent update from the streamer is bound to make you change your opinion.

In one of his recent streams, IShowSpeed claimed that he had been contacted by the producer of One Piece. In fact, he now has permission to stream the entire anime without getting any copyright strikes. Since creators are not allowed to stream anime unless it’s a special campaign, IShowSpeed’s approval is a milestone for streamers.
The creator has not yet announced what exactly he will do with his newfound rights. However, there’s a chance that he might turn it into a streaming marathon like he has done previously. But One Piece has well above 1100 episodes at the time of writing this article, which means a streaming marathon is a mammoth task. If he does choose to take this path, it might become his longest marathon yet.
Additionally, the series has also received plenty of movies. But rather than streaming previous episodes, Speed might stream the upcoming ones, as the anime is set to return from a hiatus on April 6, 2025. This would ensure that the content would not become overwhelming or boring.
The perfect arrangement to promote both IShowSpeed and One Piece

Once IShowSpeed starts streaming One Piece on his channel, the anime is bound to gain more viewers. There are plenty of people who do not know the series yet, and Speed’s stream will make them naturally curious to check out the anime. Fans have called it a great move on the part of One Piece‘s producer since it will create more consumers of the series.
Of course, IShow Speed also has plenty of things to gain from this arrangement. Anime otakus are bound to come across his videos and become interested in his content. This might look good for his subscriber count as well.

At the time of writing this article, IShowSpeed has 34.3 million subscribers on YouTube and around 363k subscribers on Twitch. Kai Cenat, on the other hand, has 6.91 million subscribers on YouTube but 15.9 million followers on Twitch. Ninja, on the other hand, has 19 million followers on Twitch as of December 2024, making his channel the most followed one.
Thus, with his new tie-in with One Piece, IShowSpeed stands to gain more followers and overcome the subs record of his rivals. But all of it depends on the streamer and how he plans on utilizing his re-streaming rights.
