It was announced last year that army veteran Paul had taken his own life, aged 41, after dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Tina, 62, had been married to Paul since 2010 and he’s the father of her youngest child, Flame, 11.

Tina has now spoken about life since her husband’s death on a podcast released today. She said that she “wouldn’t be here now” if it wasn’t for their daughter and opened up about believing that she will reunite with Paul someday.

Whilst on Best magazine’s Suddenly Single podcast, Tina spoke about being Catholic and believing that she will see her late husband Paul again. She said: “I relish the thought of dying, which I know that sounds kind of crazy.”

Asked if she meant to be able to see her late husband again, Tina replied: “Yes, but if I didn’t have Flame, I wouldn’t be here now.” She added in the interview: “Quite seriously.”

Podcast host Siobhan Wykes asked if she believed that, to which Tina said “absolutely,” adding that she meant it with “pure joy”. She then said that she could say that “rationally”.

Tina, who has an older daughter from a previous relationship, continued by saying that she has to be “strong,” “protect” and “ensure” that her youngest child “fulfils everything in life”. She added that she “relishes” passing over or “whatever” people want to call it. Tina added: “I welcome the day because I will be with him again.”

She went on to say that she is “very close” to her church, adding that her faith provides “comfort”. Tina told Siobhan that her priest allows her to get “angry” and “emotional,” as well as giving her the opportunity to “question” things.

Later on the podcast, Tina spoke about having met Paul at a “fat camp” after she did Celebrity Big Brother in 2009. She revealed that her future husband had been a trainer at the camp, whilst she was attending it as a celebrity guest.

Tina went on to marry Paul in 2010, but it was later announced in 2019 that they had separated. The couple however reconciled the following year, which also marked their tenth wedding anniversary, after a few months apart.

Speaking about their relationship, Tina said that they had a “wonderful life”. She told Siobhan that she cries “every night” and talks aloud to her late husband, and suggested that she doesn’t want to have a partner in the future.
