An online fundraiser for Karmelo Anthony, the 17-year-old Texas high school athlete accused of murdering fellow student Austin Metcalf, continues to swell.
It has raised more than $355,000 and counting. Over 10, 000 people have given a donation to the family.
On April 2, 17-year-old Metcalf, a student at Memorial High School in Frisco, was fatally stabbed at the Kuykendall Stadium.
Anthony, a Centennial High School student and football player, was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with first-degree murder.
He allegedly admitted to his involvement. He is in custody with a bond set at $1 million.
What makes his fundraiser even crazier is that, as of this writing, it has surpassed the amount of Austin Metcalf by more than $30K.
A GoFundMe page set up “in memory of Austin Metcalf” had raised over $325,000.
The fundraisers for Anthony and Metcalf have divided social media along racial lines.

The father of Karmelo Anthony, a 17-year-old high schooler from Frisco, Texas, is making some pretty big accusations in defense of his child.
Anthony was charged with murder following the stabbing death of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a track meet in Frisco, Texas, on April 2.
In a fundraiser posted on GiveSendGo, the family of 17-year-old Karmelo wrote that the accusations against the teen were “false, unjust and harmful.”
Anthony’s dad, Andrew Anthony, spoke to the New York Post about his son’s actions, and he made it clear that Metcalf was the aggressor.
“Everyone has already made their assumptions about my son, but he’s not what they’re making him out to be. He’s a good kid. He works two jobs. He’s an A student, has a 3.7 GPA.”
Andrew Anthony added that Karmelo Anthony had not started the violent incident.
“He was not the one who started it,” he added.

GTA Lucia (Photo via Twitter)
Social media might be down incredibly bad as Lucia from Grand Theft Auto is going insanely viral.
GTA 6’s trailer 2 officially broke a record after the upcoming second look at the game, which has continued to take forever to come out.
GTA 6 broke the record for the longest wait between a first and second trailer for a Rockstar Games title ever.
Rockstar has built a rich world of criminals, lunatics, and thieves spanning from Liberty City to San Andreas and beyond. With GTA 6 on the horizon, fans have become ecstatic after seeing a picture of Lucia.
For those unaware, she is a female criminal in the game. Grand Theft Auto states that she did her time at a prison complex in the State of Leonida in the mid-2020s for an unknown crime.
As anticipation builds for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, a picture shows Lucia stripped down to a two-piece bikini.
