Good Morning Britain star Bernard Kosia has issued some touching words while announcing his exit from the ITV morning programme. Bernard, who first opened up on the show in 2021, when his closest friend Folajimi “Jimi” Olubunmi-Adewole died trying to save a woman from the River Thames, took to Instagram to confirm his time with the GMB team has come to an end.

The former Chelsea FC youth footballer who worked as a studio technician for ITV said he will “always be grateful for the opportunities” given to him through Good Morning Britain in an emotional post, which saw his followers flock to the comments section.

He penned: “Thank you to @itv @gmb for all the love, support, and unforgettable memories we’ve shared during my time there. You lifted me back onto my feet at a moment when I’d lost all hope, and you pushed me to grow in ways I’ll carry with me forever.

“I will always be grateful for the opportunities, the kindness, and the incredible people who shaped this chapter of my life. @gmb will always hold a special place in my heart… End of a beautiful Era.”

Attached to the heartwarming words was a picture of Bernard with Charlotte Hawkins, Susanna Reid, Ed Balls and Laura Tobin in the Good Morning Britain studio.

One of his followers wrote, “Super proud of you,” while another added, “Always puts a smile on my face seeing your achievements. Keep doing you and being amazing.”

Former BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker echoed: “What a lovely post. Good on you, big man.” A fourth penned: “Bernie, it was a pleasure working with you. Always in good spirits, a walking football encyclopaedia, and a good egg through and through. ITV won’t be quite the same without you.”

GMB presenter Charlotte paid tribute with a simple heart emoji in the comment section.

His exit comes at a similar time to Andrew Pierce’s. Andrew, who often appeared as a panellist on the programme, confirmed in recent days that he was leaving the show in a sad statement on social media after 10 years.

Emma Willis has had to withdraw from presenting today’s episode of This Morning due to illness. The news comes shortly after it was announced that she would be taking over Zoe Ball’s slot on her BBC Radio 2 show. During today’s episode of This Morning, host Dermot O’Leary revealed that Josie Gibson would be stepping in for Emma, who is sadly under the weather today.

He said: “Look who’s back with you. It’s only Miss Josephine Gibson, hi Josie,” pointing to Josie who was stood beside him. She replied: “Thanks for having me Dermot, thank you.”Dermot added: “Full disclosure, Emma Willis was supposed to be in this week. Emma is feeling a bit poorly so we are sending her big love,” he added, blowing kisses towards the camera, reports the Mirror.

The show then opened up with a performance of Merry Christmas Everyone from the choir at Wylde Green Primary School in Sutton, which Emma attended as a child. Dermot told viewers: “That was Emma’s primary school!” as Josie said: “Emma, we hope you get well soon – we’re missing you.”

Fans were loving seeing Josie again, as one posted: “@Josiestweet looks so good on that couch alongside Dermot. Please make her the permanent #Thismorning presenter.” A second person then echoed: “Josie for the #Thismorning permanent presenter.”

Meanwhile, the show was thrown into chaos as one of the guest’s phones started ringing during her segment.

Doctor Nighat was on the show speaking to Josie and Dermot about King Charles and his cancer battle when her phone suddenly started making a noise. Her co-star Gyles Brandreth then decided to pick up the phone and answered it for her.

He then revealed that it was her husband but he cheekily told him that she would phone him back later, with the doctor left looking embarrassed, as the segment quickly moved on.

DEEPLY MOVING MOMENT! Royal Gesture Leaves Fans Emotional As King Charles Makes A ‘Hand Delivered’ Move For Sharon Osbourne After Ozzy’s D3ath

Sharon spoke with Piers Morgan about the loss of her beloved husband

Sharon Osbourne has detailed King Charles’ heartfelt letter following the sad d3ath of Ozzy Osbourne.

Sharon, who was married to Ozzy for 43 years, shared how she is coping in an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

There, she discussed life after Ozzy, who passed away on July 22 this year, after suffering from a heart attack.

King Charles’ heartfelt letter following the d3ath of Ozzy Osbourne

The world wept when it was shared that Ozzy Osbourne, also known as the Prince of Darkness, had passed away, aged 76.

The singer’s struggle with Parkinson’s disease had been documented and caused a string of health struggles.

But Ozzy’s energy and sense of humour continued to radiate on his podcast alongside Sharon and their two children Kelly and Jack, The Osbournes.

So, when his d3ath was devastatingly announced, it came as a huge shock to his fans.

The Osbournes shared in July: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

In wake of his d3ath, tens of thousands of mourners paid tribute to Ozzy in his home town of Birmingham.

A sea of flowers and letters were left to pay tribute to the star in the days after his d3ath and fans later lined the streets to say a final goodbye during Ozzy’s funeral.

Now, Sharon Osbourne has discussed her heartbreaking loss with Piers Morgan in a new interview. It was here she discussed Ozzy’s relationship with the king and how the unlikely duo would always laugh together.

She told Piers Morgan: “His Majesty sent me a letter the next day… King Charles hand-delivered it. (It said) just how sorry he was. He knew Ozzy. We met him several times, and he’s always been so gracious with Ozzy, and they would always laugh together.

King Charles’ ‘graciousness’ after Ozzy Osbourne’s d3ath

“When you look at King Charles and you look at Donald Trump, whatever anybody might think about them, it’s their business, but their days, you know how full their day is? I mean insanity, and that they had the time and the graciousness to do that for us.”

Ozzy had met the king on several occasions. They originally crossed paths when Ozzy performed at Queen Elizabeth’s 2002 Golden Jubilee concert, where Charles was in attendance.

The then-prince even sent Ozzy Osbourne gifts in 2003 after he suffered a quad bike crash, breaking his collarbone, eight ribs, and a neck vertebra.

How Ozzy Osbourne and King Charles met

Notably, at a Prince’s Trust event in 2006, Ozzy and Charles were snapped laughing together, portraying their budding friendship.

On the day of Ozzy’s funeral, Buckingham Palace paid tribute to the star.

Royal guards performed a rendition of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid” at the royal residence, amid the rock legend’s funeral.

    Ozzy Osbourne’s final show

In the summer, Ozzy fulfilled a huge achievement, performing his final show to his masses of fans.

The singer had been seriously ill for the past twelve months, so the feat was a considerable challenge.

Sharon explained: “He knew his body was failing him, he was in so much pain, so much pain. He had pneumonia three times this year. He’d had sepsis… That’s what really, really destroyed him. (After the farewell gig), he kept looking at the papers, and he goes to me, ‘I never knew so many people liked me’, but that was the way he was. He knew he was famous, but not to the amount that people loved him. And for two weeks, every day was sunshine for him. Really, really happy. Happier than we’d seen him in seven years.”

Ozzy Osbourne performed his final gig on July 5. A slew of popular performers like Anthrax, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses and Yungblud, also performed.

Taking to X to vent about the moment one wrote: “No wonder all the other music acts have been s*** this season (apart from Steps) so they could pay for Kylie. C*** song anyway…way too repetitive.” Another agreed adding: “That Christmas song from Kylie is a bit irritating.” A third chimed in: “Sorry Kylie, this song is s*** and annoying. #Xmas You’re looking great though.” A fourth predicted: “Unless you listen to Radio 2, you will never hear that Kylie Christmas song ever again.” A fifth raged: “I’m tired of pretending that Kylie can sing. Comedian Robin Ince has quit his Radio 4 show after falling out with BBC bosses (Image: Publicity Picture)

Comedian Robin Ince announced he has stepped down from his BBC Radio 4 show, which he has fronted for 16 years, after a disagreement with bosses about his political beliefs. The 56-year-old funnyman has hosted the hit comedy science show, The Infinite Monkey Cage, with physicist Brian Cox since its inception in 2009 and described his resignation as the “saddest day of my professional career” in a lengthy Instagram post. He admitted his views outside of the BBC, including criticism of US President Donald Trump and his support for the transgender community had been considered “problematic” by the powers that be, who called him into a meeting about them.

“This is the saddest day of my professional life. Today is not only the final recording of the latest series of The Infinite Monkey Cage, it is my last ever Monkey Cage. I never thought that I would have to leave the show,” he began the post. “I always imagined going on until I dropped dead under the studio lights due to a brain aneurysm caused by my final attempt to understand notions of quantum gravity or the shock of being told about fly maggot infestations in the sacks of macaque monkeys. I resigned in September, after sixteen years of dedication to the show; A show that I named and helped develop over all those years.

“Unfortunately, my opinions outside the BBC have been considered problematic for sometime, whether it has been voicing support for the trans community, criticism of Donald Trump, numerous other outlandish opinions, including once gently criticising Stephen Fry. These things were considered to conflict with being a freelance BBC science presenter,” he wrote.

He explained that these opinions hadn’t gone unnoticed and he was called into a formal meeting where he realised he had no option but to quit.

“In a recent meeting where BBC Studio executives again voiced problems with me, I realised my choices. Obedience and being quieter to remain making Monkey Cage, or ‘Resign and have the freedom to speak out against what I believe are injustices’. I chose the latter. It broke my heart,” he confessed.

“I love this show and I love the audience, and it is because of the audience in particular, that this decision was so difficult to make. I kept thinking about all the extremist voices promoting hate and division. They are being given so many platforms, while voices that represent kindness, open mindedness, empathy seem to be scarcer and scarcer.

“I felt I couldn’t pamper myself with the luxury of silence. One of my many privileges is that I am able to resign and I can speak out even if it is to the detriment of my career,” he said. “I think of my father as I resign, he brought me up to believe in fairness , justice and kindness. Though my heart is broken, it is also full of fire. I apologise to our incredible listeners for my departure, your love of the show means a great deal. I am so sorry to let you down. I hope that you can understand my reasoning.”

“I have always worked far more than my contracted hours to try and ensure the show was always the best it could be, as well as making myself accessible and responsive to the audience wherever and whenever I met them. Every night, we have recorded, I have been filled with determination to make the best show possible. This was not ‘just a job’. Despite this, I have to accept that I am not what the current BBC expects of their freelance presenters.

“I hope that with my departure I can be a better ally to the LGBTQ society, to the neurodivergent community, to activists fighting against those who aim to brutalise society, to those currently in prison on hunger strike, and to all those who fight for a more inclusive world.”

He signed off the post: “From many conversations, I know there are many Monkey Cage listeners who support these communities and activists too. The strawberry is dead. Long live the strawberry.”

  • “‘HE’S BACK… WHERE HE BELONGS’ — Strictly Icon Sir Bruce Forsyth to Make Emotional ‘Return’ to the Ballroom as Part of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s Tearful BBC Farewell Send-Off

“‘HE’S BACK… WHERE HE BELONGS’ — Strictly Icon Sir Bruce Forsyth to Make Emotional ‘Return’ to the Ballroom as Part of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s Tearful BBC Farewell Send-Off

Strictly Come Dancing icon Sir Bruce Forsyth will return to the BBC show as part of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s farewell, after nearly two decades hosting the show. The former TV star, who died in 2017 at the age of 89, will be seen via archive footage found by researchers, for the “best bits” segment of the show, in an emotional tribute to the duo.

Tess started presenting the BBC show alongside Bruce back in 2004 until his retirement in 2013. And the following year, Claudia took over his position. TV insiders have revealed that Tess, 56, and Claudia are very aware of not taking away from the spotlight of the winner.

At the end of Saturday’s dress rehearsal, Tess was gifted a bunch of flowers and balloons by her co-host and production to celebrate presenting her 500th show. On Tuesday next week, Tess will be on the receiving end of questions during her appearance on The One Show, as she discusses her exit.

Bruce Forsyth is to make a digital comeback for the last episode of this year's Strictly Come Dancing

A source told The Sun: “It wouldn’t be a proper send-off for the pair without a few words from Strictly icon Bruce. Researchers have found some classic archive footage showing Tess and Bruce in action in the early days of the show and Bruce gushing about her behind the scenes. He was such a huge part of Tess’ journey, it feels important to use his tribute.”

Bosses felt that Bruce was such a major influence on Tess’ Strictly journey that they felt it was fitting to include him in the tribute. The presenting duo recently released a joint statement confirming their exit from Strictly Come Dancing.

It read: “We have loved working as a duo and hosting Strictly has been an absolute dream. We were always going to leave together and now feels like the right time. We will have the greatest rest of this amazing series and we just want to say an enormous thank you to the BBC and to every single person who works on the show.”

The statement added: “They’re the most brilliant team and we’ll miss them every day. We will cry when we say the last ‘keep dancing’ but we will continue to say it to each other. Just possibly in tracksuit bottoms at home while holding some pizza.”

As yet a confirmation of the pair’s replacement has not been revealed but earlier today, it was reported that three names have been shortlisted. While ten names have been put forward, three names appear to be firm favourites by BBC bosses.

Bruce Forsyth presented the show between 2004 and 2013 before Claudia Winkleman took over

The unconfirmed names are The Chase host Bradley Walsh, The One Show Alex Jones and Chattyman star Alan Carr. A source told The Sun: “Replacing Claudia and Tess is a mammoth task but the BBC have whittled down the talent to 10 people. “

“As well as Bradley, Alex and Alan, Rylan Clark, Rob Rinder, Zoe Ball, and Holly Willoughby will be at the chemistry day. Amanda Holden, Alison Hammond, and Angela Scanlon have made the cut too,” the source went on to say. There will be a chemistry testing screening to find out who has the best connection with each other.

While comedian Alan is one of the favourites, this could clash with his upcoming tour in 2027. On her last day as host during the show’s Christmas special, Tess reportedly broke down in tears as she was greeted by an emotional send off.

Ahead of the hugely anticipated semi-final, a tarot card reader reportedly predicted that one of the hopefuls had emotionally reached the end of their journey, as they had suddenly started to feel “the exhaustion of the long glamorous journey.”

Celebrities who took part in this years semi-final included Balvinder Sopal, George Clarke, Amber Davies and Karen Carney. This comes after Lewis Cope’s exit from the BBC show despite being favoured to head straight to the final. Since the series started, it has been plagued by a number of departures through injuries.

The first celebrity to exit the show due to a fractured ankle was Dani Dyer and she was replaced by Amber Davies, as it was so early into the series. Neighbours star Stefan Dennis and La Voix were also forced to bow out of the competition.

The actor, 30, had performed a number of all-time great routines this series and looked nailed on to reach the final.

But he faced tough competition in Amber Davies in a shock dance-off and was eliminated from the competition, with all four judges saving Amber.

Appearing on It Takes Two on Monday, Lewis admitted he was gutted to have narrowly missed out on the semi-final.

He said: “We’re just trying to focus on the positives, it’s been an amazing 11 weeks and of course it hurts and it will take a bit of time to get over.

“But I’m really proud of what we’ve done.”

Pro dancer Katya Jones shared: “We wouldn’t do anything differently, we stayed true ourselves with each number

“A lot of my life I was told ‘less Katya’, but finally I just needed the right dance partner to match that.

We did say we were such a good team, we said to ourselves at the very start of that that it was going to be a ‘yes room’ and we stuck to that.

“Every Saturday he text me ‘morning mush’ and I knew we’ve got this and that he was going to deliver.

Lewis admitted his family were gutted to see him leave but said it was special to have four generations of his family come together to watch him.

Co-host Fleur East then asked what they thought about some of their performances and choreography together, which set Katya off.

Breaking down in floods of tears, Katya said: “Looking back, I can’t help but think maybe I could have done things differently to make it work for him better.”

Lewis said: “You did everything perfect

“But you can only do what I asked for him to do, not just this time but every single day.

“And we were in a difficult position, we were expected to deliver this almost perfect showstopping routines every single Saturday.

“Which you did, I don’t know how but you did,” to which Lewis said: “Because of you.”

With tears rolling down her face, Katya continued: “It’s tough but also I’m really really proud, we grafted for weeks.”

As Lewis added: “It’s been a hard three months.”

Lewis described his Strictly experience as “rewarding and heartwarming”.

He looked at Katya and said: “You have made me fall in love with dance but also made me fall in love with life again, so thank you.”

“We were so lucky to watch your magic because you were one of a kind,” Katya added.

    RESULTS SHOCK

After Sunday’s shock results, Lewis paid a gushing tribute to his teacher Katya, saying: “It’s been incredible and will be a memory for the rest of my life, and I think’s all down to you, you’ve given me everything as a friend as a teacher.”

A tearful Katya said: “I think you have created so many moments for Strictly Come Dancing that will be in the history books, you will be remembered as the best male celebrity we ever had on the show.

“I really hope Lewis Cope will be remembered for the incredible person you are.”

She went on to call him a “kind, humble gentleman”.

Amber and her partner Nikita Kuzmin both burst into tears after surviving the elimination.

Viewers were gutted that both Amber and Lewis were at risk at all.

One fan vented on X: “This is a joke. #Strictly used to be a dancing competition, but the best dancer hasn’t won since Jay McGuiness in 2015 & this is the biggest robbery in Strictly history for me. I’ve watched every ep of every series of this show but I’m done for this series. Devastated honestly.”

Another fumed: “Oh my goodness! I’ve just read your spoiler and I am shocked to the core. That is SO ridiculous that I don’t think I can bring myself to watch another minute of Strictly. I’m out!

A third posted: “So angry at this – two absolutely astounding dancers in the dance off and neither should have gone home. I guess there’s no point watching the rest of the series now though so got some time back there!”

A fourth ranted: “One of the biggest shocks in #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing’s 21 year history. I AM GOBSMACKED!!!!!!“

In a closely fought quarter-final on Saturday night, Lewis tied in second place with Balvinder Sopal and George Clarke, all three scoring 35.

Show favourite Karen Carney finished just behind, scoring 34 for her Samba.

Karen became the most successful footballer in the show’s history after making it to the semis and said: “I just can’t thank everyone enough who gave us the opportunity and for fighting for us.”

It ended a run of five consecutive dance-offs for EastEnders star Balvinder, a show record, and she looked elated to make it to the semi-final.

She said last night: “I have to say a huge thank you to everyone who deemed us worth of getting to the semi-final.

BREAKING NEWS: Strictly Star George Clarke Admits the Show Left Him ‘Uncomfortable’ in a Shockingly Honest Confession That Has Fans Wondering What Was Really Going On Behind the Scenes

    George Clarke

George Clarke has admitted he felt “uncomfortable” when he started Strictly Come Dancing. The TikTok star, 26, is currently paired with Alexis Warr on the BBC Saturday night favourite, and is hoping that he will make it through to the final next week.

But the influencer, who faces competition from West End actress Amber Davies, Lioness Karen Carney and Balvinder Sopal of EastEnders fame, has now thanked his fans for his support as he insisted that he is “not a performer” to start with but thinks he might have a chance of getting one step closer to the Glitterball Trophy.

He wrote on Instagram: “Honestly, last night was hands down the most fun we’ve had this whole competition. The general theme for us throughout has been to let go and I think it’s safe to say we did! In the launch show it looked uncomfortable to simply stand on some steps and clap, 12 weeks later and we’re devoting a twerk solo to Craig.

    Strictly Come Dancing

“We are so so grateful always for the support and for the opportunity each week to be able to grow and learn and now we’re one results show away from the final.

“I’m (George) not a performer, never mind a dancer, but I think nights like last night make me believe that maybe changing, fingers crossed that we get one final week to prove it! Love you all, Team Warrkey.” In Saturday’s semi-final, George donned a striking sparkly red outfit as he and Alexis performed a Samba set to Gipsy Kings track Volare for their first dance of the evening, earning a score of 35.

For their second dance of the night, the pair rocked a set of school uniforms as they did the Charleston set to We No Speak Americano, and were awarded a 37, bringing their total to 72 for the evening. It came after the social media star told fans what the ballroom really looks like, admitting the studio is considerably smaller and rather different from how it appears on television.

Chatting on The Useless Hotline podcast with co-host Max Balegde, George shared his initial reaction upon seeing the set for the first time. “It was really interesting because I’ve seen it live before in Blackpool, which is obviously a much bigger place. The studio is quite small,” he said. Max cheekily responded: “I thought that when I first saw the studio. I was like, ‘Oh, this is s**t’.”

    Strictly Come Dancing

George quickly jumped in to clarify: “Oh, it’s not s**t. It’s just smaller. You’re just like, ‘Oh… this is what it is…’” Having made it through to the semi-finals of the long-running dance show, George revealed how clever production techniques create the illusion of a much larger space on screen.

“The dance floor itself looks so much bigger on TV than it does in real life,” he explained. “It looks like two different rooms to what I’m seeing.”

George went on to say that even the contestants rely on monitors dotted around the studio to see how their performances come across to viewers watching at home.

“They have little tiny TVs up in the rafters so you can watch what it would look like on the camera,” Clarke said. “I’d look up there occasionally and be like, ‘It looks like two different rooms.’” George also commended the judges, highlighting the physical demands of their role that viewers do not typically see.

“It is very interesting how good the judges are at the job,” he said. “From where they’re sat, they physically have to move out of the way and look around at everything. What you don’t see on TV is that they’re actually on the floor doing laps around us. They’re doing so much exercise.”

“Shirley [Ballas] was doing cartwheels,” he quipped. “I was like, ‘Calm down, love.’” In another anecdote, George recalled an unexpected moment that was caught on camera. While seated on the sidelines, he suddenly spotted himself during a live segment with host Tess Daly.

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left heartbroken following Sunday’s results show, which saw one celebrity contestant narrowly miss out on a place in the final.

During Saturday’s (December 13) semi-final, the remaining four couples – Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, George Clarke and Alexis Warr, Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon, and Karen Carney and Carlos Gu – each performed two routines.

The evening concluded with mixed fortunes for the contestants. Karen and Carlos secured the top spot on the leader board with an impressive total of 78 points. Amber and Nikita finished in second place with 77 points.

Despite both couples giving their absolute best in the routine, it was Amber and Nikita who secured the judges’ votes, resulting in Balvinder’s elimination from the competition.

Viewers watching from home expressed their disappointment at the EastEnders star’s departure, with some claiming the result was unfair.

On X, formerly Twitter, one frustrated fan wrote: “Poor Bal didn’t stand a chance up against Amber doing couples’ choice – basically a West End routine….that she’s does every day. Total fix. #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly.”

Someone else expressed their disappointment, writing: “The celebrity (#Balvinder) who went from non-dancer to really really good, is sent home. The professional dancer, Amber, is sent to the final.”

The same viewer then shared a gif captioned “that’s a criminal offence”.

While a fourth viewer shared their emotional response: “I’m bawling. I’m gonna miss them so much man,” and a fifth posted: “I’m gonna miss Bal so much :(( #strictly.”

Home secretary Shabana Mahmood appeared on BBC programme Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg to discuss her strategy for halving violence against women and girls within a decade. But with just three words, she found herself stuttering as anchor Kuenssberg cut across her evasive response, leaving Mahmood tense.

During the segment, Kuenssberg asked: “One of the things you are talking about trying to do, though, is change the culture and stop young men and boys becoming offenders in the first place. Now, lots of schools already teach kids about safety and consent, what’s actually going to change? What’s going to be different?”

Mahmood tried to say: “Well, I won’t get ahead of future announcements in the next few days on the prevention side of the strategy-“

She was cut off as Kuenssberg said: “You’ve come here this morning to tell us about your whole strategy, so people wanna know.”

Those three words – “people wanna know” – had Mahmood on edge as she stumbled on her words, replying: “No, no, no, and I- I’m talking particularly today about the changes we’re going to make and the way we look at perpetrators and the criminal justice system, which I think you’d expect from the home secretary.”

She went on: “We particularly recognise the role that education around healthy relationships can have, particularly for young boys. We want to make sure teachers and parents have the tools that they need to try and make sure we are collectively, as a society, raising young boys with a good understanding of healthy relationships.”

It comes after the announcement that specialist rape and sexual offence investigation teams will be introduced to every English and Welsh police force by 2029, including funding for undercover online units.
