Thomas Skinner has shared the worrying news that his twin daughters, Darla and Roma, two, were rushed to the hospital last night.

The Apprentice star and former Strictly contestant took to social media to reveal he’d been “up all night” during what he described as a “proper s*** time” for the family.

 

Mr Skinner stopped short of revealing the exact reasons behind the hospital dash, but admitted that even though they’d returned home, they were still experiencing “scary” repercussions.

On X, the 34-year-old penned to his 419.2k followers: “We are having a proper shit time recently. My twins have spent all night in the hospital.

He signed off: “They’ve both now had 2 fits each and it is so so scary,” followed by a love heart emoji.

Inevitably, it didn’t take long for hundreds of the reality TV star’s followers to send their well-wishes his way.

One fan wrote: “Nothing else matters when this happens. Nothing at all. Best wishes, Tom, you’re a good family man.”

“Praying they’re both alright mate, scary time, glad you’re all back safe home now though, that’s the important thing,” a second echoed.

Elsewhere, a third added: “So sorry to hear that your beautiful girls have been unwell. I’m glad that the NHS were able to make them well enough to return home. Sending you all hugs xx.”

“Sorry to hear this Thomas. I’m glad to hear they’re home. All the best, mate,” a fourth echoed while a fifth said: “This is awful, a parent’s nightmare. Praying for your children’s speedy and full recovery. Children are tougher than we think, but it doesn’t relieve the worry.”

And a sixth typed: “I will keep my fingers crossed for your twins, Tom. All the best for Sinéad and you. BOSH!!” (sic)

The concerning update comes just days after Mr Skinner had to say goodbye to the world of Strictly after becoming the first celebrity of the series to be eliminated.

Alongside pro partner Amy Dowden, the pair failed to impress the judges or the voting public at home, landing in the dance-off opposite Chris Robshaw and Nadiya Bychkova.

Speaking on Monday’s It Takes Two, Mr Skinner admitted his family were “gutted” to see him leave, adding: “They love Amy.”

He went on: “They were watching Saturday night and last night, and they’re sad, bless them, but we can carry on dancing.”

When quizzed about his Week Two Salsa, which ultimately led to his exit, Mr Skinner said: “I was loving life. I went out there, I know I’m not the best dancer, but we had such a laugh out there.”

Ms Dowden was also full of praise for his efforts: “I am so impressed. (He’s) an absolute beginner, you know, in terms of the entertainment world – he’s not an actor or a performer.

He told DAZN News: “I spoke to him last week; he said that he’s going to come back and fight next year. He wants to do it. He’s had a very busy year this year. He’s obviously not had a fight this year, but as we’ve all seen, he’s had his documentary.”

Warren added: “He’s been filming with Netflix for his At Home with the Furys series. He’s also got another documentary that he’s finishing off, plus other things. he wants. I mean, he’s told me categorically he wants to fight next year. So, we’ll sit down and see.”

Although the announcement will delight boxing fans, it may cause tension at home going by previous comments on him quitting the ring. According to OK!, Paris was ‘so relieved’ when her husband decided to retire from boxing.

An insider claimed that Fury would get ‘very stressed and antsy’ before major fights and that retirement meant they now spent much more time together.

They’re quoted as saying: “Paris is so relieved that Tyson has said he’s finally retiring.

“She wants a bit of normality and ‘them’ time – they need it.

“He’s always very stressed and antsy before and after a fight so all of their lives have revolved around boxing.

“Now Tyson has retired from boxing, they’re happier than ever and spending a lot more time together, reigniting the spark in their relationship.”

Before his rematch with Usyk, Fury also admitted he had not spoken to his wife for months during the training camp.

He said: “It’s been a long camp, hasn’t seen my wife and kids in three months,” he said before the second fight against Usyk.

“I haven’t spoken to [my wife] at all in three months. Not one word sacrificed a lot. But it’ll all be worth it, 100 per cent.”

Paris later revealed how challenging the period had been for her and their seven children.

She added: “He didn’t want to be involved in family life so he’s cut himself off from us for the last few months.

“He’s put himself in a serious, serious condition and he looks very, very determined.”

Carl Froch has slammed Tyson Fury as ‘pathetic’ while making a bold prediction about the Gypsy King’s potential blockbuster fight with Anthony Joshua.

Fury announced his retirement from boxing earlier this year, following back to back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, with the most recent coming in December 2024. It appeared to mark the end of an era for the heavyweight, who held multiple titles during his career.

However, promoter Frank Warren recently confirmed that Fury is preparing to return to the ring next year. He made the revelation when speaking to DAZN News, explaining: “I spoke to him last week; he said that he’s going to come back and fight next year. He wants to do it. He’s had a very busy year this year. He’s obviously not had a fight this year, but as we’ve all seen, he’s had his documentary.”

Warren said his focus had been on filming for Netflix show At Home with the Furys while also revealing he has ‘got another documentary that he’s finishing off, plus other things he wants’.

“I mean, he’s told me categorically he wants to fight next year. So, we’ll sit down and see,” Warren said.

The news has reignited speculation across the boxing world over who Fury might face in his comeback fight.

Promoter Eddie Hearn has long spoken of his desire to stage a Fury versus Joshua clash, in what he has previously described as the “biggest fight in boxing.”

But former British world champion Froch isn’t convinced the fight will happen, or even if it does, that it will live up to the hype.

He said: “I don’t think Tyson Fury will come out retirement to be honest. He might do because he has said he’s going to and if there’s massive money on the stake, which there probably will be, but I can only see one winner in that fight and that’s Tyson Fury.

“But Tyson’s been out now, he goes heavy in between fights, so if he puts on too much weight and then he struggles to get it off and AJ’s in the gym, then who knows. But am I bothered about that fight? Do I wanna see AJ against Fury?”

Like Fury, Joshua also suffered defeat in his last outing, losing to Daniel Dubois at Wembley in September 2024.

And Froch doubts whether a fight between a 35-year-old Joshua and a 37-year-old Fury would be as exciting as promoters have promised.

Froch continued: “There’s no world titles on the line. They’re both past their best.

“AJ was break dancing on his head in his last fight. He was done. Dubois ironed him out.

“And Fury got done twice by Usyk and he’s moaning about how he’s been robbed and he wants another bite of the cherry.

“It’s pathetic.”

A Strictly star has revealed that their baby twins have been rushed to the hospital in a heartbreaking ordeal. Thomas Skinner, who was the first celebrity contestant to be eliminated from the BBC dance competition this year, has informed fans on social media of the news. The former Apprentice candidate has three children with his wife, Sinéad Chambers, and it has been revealed that his twin daughters have spent “all night in hospital.” Roma and Darla arrived in 2023, and prior to that, Thomas and his wife welcomed their son, Henry, in 2019. The Essex lad was partnered with Amy Dowden on Strictly Come Dancing this year; however, his journey came to an end on Sunday after the judges opted to save Chris Robshaw instead.

Taking to X, Thomas said: “We are having a proper s**t time recently. My twins have spent all night in the hospital. Thank you to the wonderful NHS for looking after them. Back home with them now. They’ve both now had 2 fits each and it is so so scary.”

Many of his followers have flooded the comments section and given him words of support. One person typed: “Nothing else matters when this happens. Nothing at all. Best wishes Tom, you’re a good family man.”

A second also chimed in: “I experienced this many years ago with both my then young, children. It is very distressing and frightening to witness. It can happen with a raised temperature- but not always the case. It is more common than we realise.”

A third also commented: “So sorry to read this Thomas. Sending my love to Roma and Darla and to you and sinead. Stay strong mate x.”

Last weekend, Thomas and Amy performed a salsa to Dizzee Rascal’s “Bonkers,” but it wasn’t enough to impress judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood, as all three opted to save Robshaw.

This meant that Motsi Mabuse – who had the casting vote on this week’s show – did not need to give her verdict, although she stated that she would have voted the same way when asked by presenter Tess Daly.

Reflecting on his time on Strictly, Thomas said: “I’ve loved it. I’ve never danced before and my stay was short, but Amy’s amazing.

As reported by the Daily Mail, French-Canadian network TVA Nouvelles stated that the teenager was with his mother, Amanda Rodrigues, in Mexico before his death.

It has been suggested that he was found dead by a neighbour.

The teenager was hoping to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a professional boxer.

Gatti Jr shared a close relationship with boxing great Mike Tyson and was expected to turn professional in the future.

Back in 2009, Gatti Snr passed away at the age of 37, when Gatti Jr was just a baby.

At the time, his wife, Amanda Rodrigues, was initially charged with murder.

However, after an autopsy, it was deemed that Gatti Snr had taken his own life while on holiday in Brazil.

Earlier on Wednesday, former boxer Jean Pascal paid tribute to Gatti Jr.

He wrote on social media: “Sixteen years after losing his father, the world loses another Gatti. The son of a legend two fighters, one legacy. Both gone too soon.

Chuck Zito, a longtime friend and former bodyguard of Gatti Snr, said: “It’s with a heavy heart that I have to say,…. R.I.P. to 17-year-old ARTURO GATTI JR.

“My condolences to Arturo Gatti Senior’s Mom, Sisters, Brothers, and his daughter Sophia.”

The Saudi sports promoter made the huge claim on Wednesday evening.

Manchester United are in the ‘advanced stages of completing a deal to sell to a new investor’, according to Saudi promoter Turki Alsheikh.

Alsheikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority who is responsible for bringing high-profile sports events to the country, has made a name for himself in the boxing world.

The 44-year-old helps coordinate and co-promote fights, using his position and financial resources to bring major bouts to Saudi Arabia as part of Riyadh Season, which runs from October until March 2026.

But he has been actively exploring becoming involved in other sports of late. Alsheikh has shown an interest in purchasing a stake in Matchroom Sport, the events promotion company involved in snooker and darts.

And the Saudi billionaire continues to be linked with purchasing a football team in England, with recent reports suggesting he is preparing a formal bid to buy Championship side Bristol City from the Lansdown family.

Now, the ambitious Alsheikh has made a huge claim regarding a potential takeover bid for Premier League giants Manchester United.

Taking to social media platform X on Wednesday evening, he wrote: “The best news I heard today is that Manchester United is now in an advanced stage of completing a deal to sell to a new investor – I hope he’s better than the previous owners.”

Whether there is substance to Alsheikh’s comments is unclear, but his post has attracted a significant amount of attention, with questions being raised about Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Glazers as a result.

Back in February 2024, Ratcliffe completed a deal that gives him a 27.7% stake in United, which is worth more than £1bn.

Alsheikh’s comments, meanwhile, come shortly after it was reported that United are exploring the possibility of playing a potentially lucrative mid-season friendly in Saudi Arabia during Riyadh Season.

Talks with relevant stakeholders are at an early stage, according to The Athletic, as the club explore ways of raising funds after they missed out on European football.

Ruben Amorim recently backed the idea of playing beyond their competitive schedule. “We have to do it,” he said. “And you know, we knew that when we missed out on Europe, we have a lot of things to do.

“We have our fans, we have the budget, we have to compensate for a lot of things, so we have to do it,” repeated Amorim. “We will do it. We want to be with our fans around the world. If you have to do it, you have to manage to find the space to do it.”

As a result of failing to qualify for Europe, United have plenty of time to prepare on the training ground. In fact, Amorim’s side will play just one midweek game before Christmas, a home clash against West Ham on December 3.

Gatti’s former bodyguard, Chuck Zito, confirmed the news on Instagram, revealing that the young boxer had taken his own life.

In that Instagram post announcing his tragic death, the former bodyguard of the elder Gatti described a chilling scene that mirrored the late boxer’s death.

He revealed that the 17-year-old was tragically found hanging in his apartment.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I have to say,…. R.I.P. to 17-year-old ARTURO GATTI JR., who was found hanging in an apartment in Mexico yesterday. The same way they found his Father dead in an apartment in Brazil 16 years ago. My condolences to Arturo Gatti Seniors – Mom, Sisters, Brothers, and his daughter Sophia,” Chuck Zito wrote on his page.

Moe Latif, who reportedly coached Gatti Jr., would also take to Instagram and verify the report, saying, “It is unfortunately not a rumor or a joke,” the message read.

Arturo Gatti Jr., the son of late boxer Arturo Gatti, has died at age 17.

It is yet another knife to the heart of boxing fans who have now seen both Gattis die way too soon.

Gatti Jr. was poised to follow in his father’s footsteps, but he ultimately went down the same road his father did when he took his own life.

Gatti Sr., who won world titles in the International Boxing Federation and the World Boxing Council, was tragically found deceased in 2009 by his wife, Amanda Rodrigues Gatti, in a rented Brazilian residence.

When his body was found, independent investigators found him with a head laceration, which indicated homicide. His wife was briefly arrested but later released once an autopsy proved that he had taken his own life.

He was only 37-years-old at the time.

Frankie Bridge’s ‘struggles’ with son’s dyslexia diagnosis

On Tuesday (October 7), Frankie re-posted a video to her Instagram Story that promoted the app Talamo.

The app aims to be an affordable and accessible digital tool that uses AI and human assessment to screen for dyslexia in children aged 7-16.

Within the clip shared, Sam Thompson said Talamo is the “easiest way to get answers on dyslexia”.

While sharing a caption, Frankie explained she watched the CEO of Talamo, Jamie Wace, talk about his experience with dyslexia at an event this year. From then, she said she “knew straight away that I wanted to be involved”.

“Everything he said resonated with me,” she added before explaining her own experience with her son.

“I’ve struggled so much to get Carter the help he needs at school, had I known about Talamo then, our journey may have been a lot quicker, easier, and a lot less stressful,” Frankie continued.

“So many parents have reached out to me since I have spoken about this, so I can’t wait to share more with you about the amazing things Talamo are doing.”

‘I foolishly saw this as the missing piece’

During an opinion piece for The i Paper in 2024, Frankie said Carter’s teachers were concerned about his lack of confidence.

“He was aware that others in his class were able to do things that he couldn’t,” she said.

Following his dyslexia diagnosis, Frankie “foolishly saw this as the missing piece”.

She hoped that his teachers and she “would now know exactly what to put into place to teach him in a way that he would understand”.

She continued: “Unfortunately, this just wasn’t the case. Luckily, his teacher was tutoring a child with dyslexia outside of school. This meant that she was able to implement small changes to help him as much as possible, but he needed more than that.
