Leeds Gogglebox stars Danielle and Danielle share huge show announcement after 3 years

Gogglebox favourites Danielle and Daniella have received an outpouring of support from devoted fans following a significant announcement from the duo.

The close mates initially appeared on the enduring Channel 4 programme in 2022 – and it’s safe to say they quickly won over the show’s dedicated audience.

Throughout their tenure, Danielle and Daniella – who are based in Leeds – have left viewers in hysterics with their witty remarks and amusing reactions to television moments.

Additionally, the duo have returned for the fresh series, which launched last month, alongside fellow cast members Pete and Sophie Sandiford from Blackpool and Giles Wood and Mary Killen from Wiltshire.

Beyond their television appearances, Danielle and Daniella frequently update their followers about their daily adventures through their joint Instagram profile, reports the Mirror.

Recently, the pair made a significant declaration. Posting on the social media platform, Danielle and Daniella uploaded multiple photographs from their television journey as they marked three years as Gogglebox participants.

In their message, they penned: “Meanwhile in Leeds, Daniella and Danielle are celebrating 3 years of professional sofa surveillance on @c4gogglebox.

“That’s 3 years of snacks, sass, and pure cut eye, kiss teet and belly laughs. 2 @officiantas later (we’re taking that as Olympic podium wins, medals and ting). They say “time flies when you’re having fun”. Big up @channel4@studiolambert for making us family.”

Supporters flocked to the comments section to express their joy and offer congratulations to the duo.

One viewer penned: “3 years already congratulations I couldn’t be any more prouder.” A second chimed in: “Congratulations to both of you.” Their Gogglebox colleague Ellie Warner also commented: “Happy 3 years ladies.”

They recently shared a big show update
To fans’ absolute joy, Danielle and Daniella have made their comeback for the fresh Gogglebox series – which kicked off earlier this year.

Nevertheless, things are looking rather different, as it was revealed in July that cherished personalities Roisin Kelly and Joe Kyle wouldn’t be making a return.

The duo made Gogglebox history as the inaugural Scottish couple to feature on the programme back in February 2022. Breaking the news of their exit from the Channel 4 programme, Roisin turned to TikTok to deliver the disappointing news.

She revealed: “After three and a half years of sitting on the sofa Channel 4 have decided it’s time for Joe and I to stretch our legs and have not asked us back for season 26.”

SAD NEW:Amy Dowden tearfully addresses Strictly experience with Thomas Skinner after ‘difficult’ period

Strictly Come Dancing’s Amy Dowden has opened up about getting to know ‘the real Thomas Skinner’ after losing her confidence as a dancer over the last three years

Strictly Come Dancing pro Amy Dowden has opened up about working with reality star Thomas Skinner on the BBC show after becoming the first pairing to be eliminated this series. The Welsh professional dancer was paired with Thomas Skinner on this year’s series, marking her return to Strictly after dropping out of the 2024 series with a foot injury.

Amy missed the series before to focus on recovering from battling grade three breast cancer and another type of cancer. She shared in February 2024 that a check-up showed “no sign of the disease”, allowing her to return to the BBC show that year.

Now, Amy has opened up about ‘losing all confidence as a dancer’ after a tough three years – and how Tom helped to bring it back. Speaking to Strictly hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly after being eliminated from the show, Amy said: “I’ve got to know the real Tom, and he is adorable. He’s looked after me.

“We’ve laughed so much. We’ve worked so hard and a glitterball would have been amazing but what I’ve learnt in the last few years is happiness, health and being alive is more important than anything.

“I’ve made a new friend for life and I wouldn’t change a thing. There is a Ballroom boy in there so I’m a bit gutted he didn’t get to do the Ballroom, but the last three years as you know have been quite difficult for me.”

She added: “I lost all confidence as a dancer – but walking into the room with you with a massive smile and a laugh, you brought me back and, honestly, thank you.”

Back in September, Strictly fans were left fuming when Amy was revealed to have been partnered with controversial contestant Tom – with many saying that she’d “been through enough”. One wrote: “Poor Amy. She is really due a break #strictly.”

The pair went on to perform a Paso Doble in last weekend’s live show before returning to the dance floor for a Salsa to the Dizzee Rascal hit Bonkers. The dances landed him towards the bottom of the leaderboard with a joint score of 29 – just four points above Ross King, who has the fewest points with 25.

Speaking on It Takes Two earlier this week, Tom revealed that he’s lost one stone just from a few weeks of training. “I’ll be honest with you, I’ve lost a stone since starting Strictly. I’m a stone lighter,” he said.

“I feel no different. I can’t wait to get back in the café. No honestly, I have lost weight and I’ve noticed my trousers are getting a little bit bigger. I’m learning a skill, which is dancing, and once you know how to do it, it’s amazing. They [the professionals] are in a different class. I do it, it’s not so good. But I am trying and I am getting there.”

BREAKING NEWS: Meghan Markle skewered on GB News with brutal eight-word takedown after Paris flop

A GB News guest has shared her thoughts on Meghan Markle following her appearance during Paris Fashion Week. The Duchess of Sussex made her first visit to Europe in over two years to support a friend in the fashion industry. During her trip, she attended the Balenciaga show and was pictured greeting Vogue’s global editorial director Anna Wintour. Editor at Large of the Mail on Sunday, Charlotte Griffiths, reacted to Meghan’s appearance during a chat on GB News, saying she found Meghan meeting Anna “very interesting.” Charlotte argued that Anna and Meghan “never really got on as Anna is a big monarchist and never invited her to the famous Met Gala ball.”

Charlotte also said that Meghan was “awkward” when meeting her fashion designer friend and argued that “she seemed a little out of place in Paris.” In addition, Meghan apparently sat in the front row of the show, and when a model tripped, Meghan reportedly “burst out laughing.”

When she arrived at the show, Meghan opted for crisp white wide-leg pants that were paired with a shirt, but the highlight was a cape that trailed behind her.

The Duchess of Sussex was joined by her longtime friend Marcus Anderson, with the duo sitting alongside Tracee Ellis Ross. She was also spotted greeting the Hollywood director Baz Luhrmann. Prince Harry was not in attendance.

Meghan is believed to have last visited Europe in 2022, when she attended the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II in London. She has not been back to the UK since.

After the show, Meghan returned to her hotel in Paris, where she overheard a photographer telling her she was “shining like a diamond.”

The Duchess of Sussex has previously attended New York and Toronto Fashion Weeks while working as an actress on Suits. It is believed this is her first fashion week appearance in years.

Commenting on Meghan’s outfit, a spokesperson for Meghan Markle told Hello! Magazine: “Over the years, the Duchess has worn a number of designs by Pierpaolo. They have worked closely together, collaborating on design for key moments on the world stage. She has long admired his craftsmanship and modern elegance, and tonight was no different.”

An Emmerdale star is set for a special role away from the ITV soap.

Emmerdale actor and Kinship charity ambassador Jay Kontzle will present a BBC Radio 4 appeal on behalf of the national charity. It will be broadcast on Sunday, October 5 and Thursday, October 9 during Kinship Care Week. The Emmerdale actor, 35, was raised by his grandparents after his mum died when he was just four-years-old and is passionate about getting better support for kinship carers and the children they are raising.

Jay will urge Radio 4 listeners to donate to Kinship which supports kinship carers – grandparents, aunties, uncles, siblings and family friends, who provide loving and secure homes for children often with no help or support to deal with the unexpected costs of raising children who have experienced trauma.

Jay said: “I’m so passionate about the charity as I’ve seen first-hand the amazing work Kinship does to support kinship carers who help to keep thousands of children out of the overstretched care system. My grandparents sacrificed everything to raise me. They gave me all their love when everything else fell apart. I just wish Kinship existed when they stepped up to care for me, so they could have had some much-needed advice and support.”

During the appeal Jay will be heard highlighting how Kinship supports carers who step up to look after more than 141,000 kinship children in England and Wales often in times of crisis.

Kinship Chief Executive, Lucy Peake said: “We’re honoured to be chosen by the BBC for a Radio 4 Appeal this Kinship Care Week and delighted that Jay is presenting it on our behalf as he knows first-hand just how important kinship carers are. Money raised from the generous donations of Radio 4 listeners will help us to continue our crucial work supporting kinship carers, who make huge sacrifices to provide loving homes for thousands of children, preventing them from going into the care system.”

Heartbroken Caroline’s Reaction To Gani’s Eviction During Storm Amy Has Fans Saying The Same Heartbreaking Thing

Caroline was left in tears following the first public vote on Big Brother

The Big Brother house is getting a little quieter now that Gani Khan has been shown the door. The 39-year-old from Bromley became the second contestant of the 2025 season to be evicted.

He follows behind 25-year-old Emily Hewertson, who was brutally evicted on day one thanks to a devilish twist. But having made it through almost a week, Gani was voted out of the show by the public with an eviction that aired on ITV on Friday.

The housemates have been missing his presence in the hours since he was sent back into the outside world. Most affected is 56-year-old Caroline Monk, from Canvey Island in Ess3x, who bonded fast with Gani.

Speaking to Big Brother in the Diary Room, Caroline battled through tears and lamented: “I’ve never had a friendship like that, with even a guy, let alone anyone else. I just feel for him as he wanted this more than anybody.”

She went on to suggest she will miss him greatly. She commented: “He was just like my shadow. I feel like one magpie has lost the other one.” However, some fans took to social media to question Caroline’s tears – commenting that she had only known her co-contestant for a few days.

Gani had a dramatic exit on Friday night as Storm Amy brought chaos to the live eviction. Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best hosted the event from inside, as they would usually present outdoors.

But as powerful winds battered the UK, the presenters sought refuge in the Big Brother studio. Gani was also forced to exit the house through the back door as the hazardous weather conditions disrupted the usual eviction process.

During his time in the house, the contestant – originally from Chennai, in India – stunned his housemates when he revealed he had been forced into an arranged marriage by his parents. Opening up about his personal life, he revealed that he had been investigating his bis3xuality when his parents made a choice about his life for him.

He told Jenny Baird, 20, that he had married his cousin last year and went on to reveal he and his wife had welcomed a son 10 months ago. However, the dad explained that he had considered that married life wasn’t for him.

Jenny had asked him about his quest for love after moving to the UK. Gani explained: “This is going to be very interesting and very shocking for you. 2022 was the turning point in my life.

“I was so open-minded [on s3xuality], even though I was from a religious background. I was always like, ‘Why not try everything?’”

He continued: “From 2022 to 2024, I was literally enjoying and exploring bis3xuality. And then at the end of 2023, December 2023, my dad all of a sudden was like, ‘Gani, how long are you not gonna be married. Come on, please marry, why are you doing this?’

“And I was like, ‘No, I don’t want to get married, blah, blah, blah”. Then my dad asked me [to get married] and I couldn’t say no.”

He then revealed: “That is how I got married in January 2024 with my cousin.”

Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

My Mum, Your Dad’s Roger and Janey share huge relationship step one year after meeting

My Mum, Your dad couple Roger and Janey have shared a huge relationship bombshell a year after meeting on the ITV reality show, which has been billed as a middle aged Love Island

Roger and Janey from My Mum, Your dad have been dropping some serious relationship updates since their first encounter on the ITV reality show a year ago.

The lovebirds couldn’t hide their chemistry, with Roger revealing all during his chat on Loose Women. He told host Jane Moore about the instant spark, saying: “It didn’t show on the show itself but she just came in and I obviously liked what I saw straight away.”

Their connection was undeniable, as Roger shared: “We just hit it off; she just said randomly, ‘What am I like?’ and I said, ‘I know what you’re like!’ And everybody else was just looking at us and we were just off in our own little world!”

Curious about how things are going, Linda Robson quizzed Roger: “Have you moved in together or is it a long distance relationship?”

To which Roger admitted: “We’ve more or less moved in together. I spend a lot more time at Janey’s. The weather’s much better!”, reports OK!

But the panel wanted more juicy details, cheekily asking: “Have you got two toothbrushes there or just one toothbrush?” Roger playfully replied: “I’ve got three toothbrushes!” while Janey chimed in: “And two double wardrobes you put in the other day. This man dresses well!”

Reflecting on their televised romance, an emotional moment unfolded when Jane asked: “Is it weird a year on to see the moment you first met on TV?”, leading Roger to confess: “It’s lovely to see but I was filling up watching it.”

Janey shared her emotional journey, saying: “When you see it, it’s like ‘oh no, don’t set me off.’ It was a very emotional time. There was anxiety, it was a big thing. It does take you back. It’s an outer body experience really.”

She also recounted the pivotal advice from her father: “We like Roger, don’t push him away,” which led her to tackle her personal issues head-on during a live TV appearance. Janey remembered: “They said, ‘So why are you here?’ and I could feel it coming, I wasn’t going to say anything but I thought, ‘I’ve got to be honest here,’ I know I’ve pushed people away in the past. There’s some traits in me and adopted people that you carry and never address it.”

Reflecting on her candid moment, she expressed pride: “I felt for the first time in my life, ‘Well done Janey, you’ve just gone and said it on live TV.’ You don’t even tell people you meet but thank goodness I did.”

Former Coronation Street and Benidorm star Sherrie Hewson has expressed her anger at the way older people are treated on television. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk the 75-year-old said she is passionate about raising awareness about this issue and expressed her disdain at the fact TV and advertising bosses seem to think people are “past it” from the age of 55 upwards.

“Oh, my God, this country drives me crazy,” she fumes over Zoom. “People who are 55 plus, 65 plus, they’re free from their children. They’re free from the grandchildren. They want to go out there and live a life. They want to go on a cruise. They want to climb mountains, ski, meet somebody, fall in love, and have sex. But you don’t see that on television. We’ve got bloody funerals and cremations,” she said, citing an ad that frequently runs for a funeral home featuring a couple in their 50s.

Cận cảnh Sherrie Hewson trông có vẻ sốc

“I don’t know why in this country, we stick (age) labels on people’s heads. We put numbers on their foreheads. You never go to Spain and get asked how old you are. I just think I get so incensed about this. Older people want romance. They want fun. I can’t believe that we treat people like this in this country, and I get very, very passionate about it, because it’s been like this from day one.

“My mother died at 89, and she had a 45-year-old boyfriend. It never crossed her mind that she was a label and that she was a number. And that’s what I can’t bear. What we do in this country, and it’s mainly in this country.

“It never occurs to somebody who writes these shows and adverts that people over a certain age still want to be alive. They want to do things until the day they die,” she continued.

Sherrie, who cites Benidorm as having the best-written and most well-rounded older characters, practices what she preaches and said she refuses to age herself for a role. When asked if she has been offered any part that would reinforce the “elderly” stereotype, she shakes her head. “They know what they are getting with me,” she said, although she did admit she has had to explain her aesthetic to makeup artists on occasion.

“I’ll be sitting in the chair and I’ll tell them I’d like some eyelashes and they look at me. What? Women my age don’t wear eyelashes? And I tell them to slap the makeup on. I get the lipstick on. Just because I’m of a certain age doesn’t mean I can’t do and wear certain things.

“I wouldn’t wear a mini skirt or a shirt chopped down to my navel. I’m not stupid, but I’ll go for it. I’ll wear fabulous clothes, and I’ll get out there and out dance till one or two o’clock in the morning. Why would you stop?” she asked.

Her remarks came as the Freeview channel Great! TV revealed the results of a study they commissioned titled The Upper Third. It indicated that over a quarter of audiences feel overlooked by contemporary television producers despite consuming more content than any other demographic.

The Great!, network, which encompasses Great! TV, Great! Action, Great! Mystery, and Great! Romance – is relaunching specifically for audiences who feel abandoned by mainstream television, focusing on beloved and timeless, premium-quality series and films.

After Kate Garraway shut down rumours that she was dating again, a source reveals she has a well-meaning cheerleading team around her who want nothing more than to see her loved-up once again. The Good Morning Britain host spoke out about potentially taking tentative steps back into dating after losing her husband Derek Draper, but confessed that she found the idea of being with anyone but him “preposterous”.

Kate, 58, was married to the political lobbyist-turned-psychotherapist for almost two decades, until his death in January 2024 aged 56, following a long battle with Covid. Opening up about how she’s coped since becoming a single parent to her and Derek’s two children, Darcey, now 19, and Billy, 16, Kate, as OK! reports, revealed she didn’t like the thought of spending “the rest of her life without love”.

However, she also admitted that she couldn’t see herself with anyone else, adding, “What Derek and I loved was our home life and just pottering around, and we had 21 years of that, so mentally I am still in that zone.” Our source goes on to claim that, despite her reservations, some of Kate’s friends are actively encouraging her to at least explore the possibility of dating someone new.

“There is someone who’s interested and her friends are encouraging her just to explore that and see how it makes her feel,” our source claims. “But Kate isn’t really ready for anything more than friendship right now. It’s still too soon, so no one is trying to force things.

“It would be lovely for her to just take things really slowly, and even see herself as a single woman again. One who has a lot to offer and deserves a lot in return. There’s talk about her starting to go out for a few dinners, and going slowly.”

There has been rumbling speculation recently about Kate’s love life, with various gossip sites claiming to have unearthed her “new man”. The posts, many of which seem to include photographs of either married friends or Kate’s co-workers, have inevitably attracted a flurry of comments from people weighing in on when the time is right to move on after the death of a partner.

On a Facebook post linking the former I’m A Celeb star to a “close friend of her late husband”, a person commented that she’d “got over Derek quick enough”, but was quickly shut down by more of the well-intentioned followers. Further supportive comments included one from a fellow widower: “To find love again is wonderful. Unless you have experienced a terrible sadness, you will never know the emptiness and loneliness you feel.”

Another added, “Good luck Kate. You deserve it. You gave a lot to Derek, your turn now, keep the head up.” Our source maintains that one of the reasons Kate isn’t jumping head first into a new relationship is the fear of being judged, or upsetting those around her.

“Of course, she questions and worries about what others might think if she had another man in her life, it’s just part of who she is. She’d never want to hurt or upset anyone else, especially her children”, they say.

“But actually, all her friends, even her family and kids just want her to be happy. They know she deserves it. She went through hell caring for Derek right up until the end. Four years is a long time to go through something so difficult. But not a day goes by when she doesn’t remember Derek or share a funny story about him. He’ll always be in her heart.”

Ahead of her upcoming stint on Celebrity Traitors, Kate also revealed that she was still existing mentally in the “zone” of the life they shared, but aware that she was “going to have to think about the future at some point”.

According to psychotherapist Kamalyn Kaur, Kate’s conflicted feelings are very normal. “What Kate described, about still being mentally in the world she built with Derek, is a very natural stage of grieving and adjusting to a new identity,” she tells . “There’s no rush for her, and honouring that ‘not yet’ feeling is actually a sign of self-awareness and emotional integrity.”

Signals that Kate might be ready to take those next romantic steps, Kamalyn adds, might include a time when her curiosity about “connection and companionship” start to outweigh feelings of fear and resistance, and she can picture the possibility of building something new without it feeling “like a betrayal” of what she shared with Derek.

“The right time is less about a calendar and more about when the heart feels open to exploring new connections,” she explains. “She’s definitely doing the right thing by following her feelings and going with what feels right, rather than pushing herself to date when she’s not ready yet.”

1999 AT THAT TIME: Penny Lancaster opens up about the extreme challenges she faced in her journey to marry Sir Rod Stewart

"Nhiệm vụ bất khả thi - Sự phán xét cuối cùng"

Penny Lancaster has shared a look back at her earlier days, confessing that she suffered from crippling self-doubt during the start of her relationship with her now-husband, Sir Rod Stewart.

After meeting purely by chance, as she asked the Scottish singer for an autograph while at the Dorchester Hotel, London, in 1999, it wasn’t until months later that Sir Rod would finally make the decision to call her.

Ngài Rod Stewart và Penny Lancaster

However, after the music legend did finally get in touch with her, this would mark the start of a relationship that has now spanned decades and produced two children.

Speaking to The Sun’s Fabulous magazine, Pennylooked back to 1999 when she first started dating Sir Rod, revealing that she was initially filled with self-doubt about his previous partners: “When I began dating my now-husband, singer Rod Stewart, 80, in 1999, I imagined the perfect women he had been with and how he was comparing me to them.”

While she later accepted that he didn’t do that at all, she admitted that she had become conditioned to analyse herself: “Of course, he wasn’t. He always gave me the most incredible compliments, but I had become conditioned to analyse myself.”

She explained how she even went so far as to constantly apologise: “I’d apologise to him – and strangers – for everything from my crooked toes to my sweaty palms, which I get because of overactive sweat glands.”

However, struggling near the beginning of her relationship with the rock-and-roll star, the pair have seen their relationship go from strength to strength over the years. After meeting six years earlier, the couple welcomed their first son, Alastair, in 2005, before their second, Aiden, followed in 2011.

Away from her family life, Penny originally worked as a model. In more recent years, she has become a prominent feature on our screens, appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2007, when she competed alongside Ian Waite before they were voted out of the programme in week six.

Since then, her TV career has continued. She took up a role on the Loose Women panel in 2014 and has appeared alongside the show’s stars on ITV ever since. She has also been spotted competing in Celebrity Catchphrase and putting her cooking skills to the test on Celebrity MasterChef in 2021.

In a somewhat surprising move, in 2021 she became a special police constable and was even on duty during the Queen’s funeral, and King Charles’ coronation.

Kate Garraway has made an emotional confession and said that she has done “a lot of crying” since her husband d!ed. Derek Draper d!ed last January, aged 56, and Kate said she hoped to use her time on Celebrity Traitors as an opportunity to have fun. The hit psychological reality series will be hosted once again by Claudia Winkleman, with celebrities battling it out to uncover secret saboteurs in a high-stakes game of lies and loyalty. Kate is one of the many famous faces taking part, and she recently revealed why she decided to sign up to the gripping BBC series.

According to MailOnline, she said: “I’ve been through so many challenges over the last five years, I’ve faced a lot of actual life and death moments, and I’ve done a lot of crying over all that’s happened to our family. It’s all been so serious.”

She added: “So, this feels like a chance to have fun and make a little mischief playing in what I genuinely believe is the best game on TV.”

The lineup also includes Traitors superfan Stephen Fry, Olympian Tom Daley, television host Jonathan Ross, and BBC star Alan Carr. Comedian Joe Wilkinson will also be in the Scottish castle alongside singer Paloma Faith and former England rugby player Joe Marler. Line of Duty star Mark Bonnar is also making an appearance, as well as presenter Clare Balding and singer Cat Burns.

This time, there’s more than just honour on the line: a £100,000 prize fund is up for grabs. The winning Traitors—or Faithfuls, depending on how the game unfolds—will split the cash, which will be donated to charities of their choice, adding a meaningful twist to the cloak-and-dagger competition.

The first episode of the series will air on Wednesday (08.10.25) but the BBC is so confident of its success that it has already reportedly commissioned a second series.

A source told The Sun: “The Celebrity Traitors is landing at the very peak of the format’s popularity, it’s the biggest show on the box, globally, and the cast is exceptional.

“Everyone knows something would have gone incredibly wrong if this didn’t become the TV event of the year. The official message is that a formal recommission depends how well series one does, but in reality it’s all but a done deal.”
