Thomas Skinner AXED from BBC Strictly as anti-woke star booted off show after first public vote: 'I can’t really dance - but I’ve had fun!'

Thomas Skinner has become the first celebrity to be voted off this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The Apprentice star, 34, found himself in the first dreaded dance-off of the series during Sunday’s show after finishing bottom of the Week Two leaderboard on Saturday night.

Alongside Amy Dowden, Mr Skinner received some rather brutal remarks from the judges for his Salsa, with Craig Revel Horwood, in particular, pulling no punches with his feedback.

However, despite only racking up a score of 13 in Week Two, his Week One score of 16 left him above entertainment reporter Ross King by four points on the combined scoreboard.

Sadly, that wasn’t enough for him to avoid the dance-off opposite former England rugby captain Chris Robshaw.

Both couples performed their routines again, with Mr Skinner and Ms Dowden performing their Salsa to Bonkers by Dizzee Rascal, while Mr Robshaw and Nadiya Bychkova performed their Viennese Waltz to Die With A Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.

Following the routines, it was left to Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse, and the aforementioned Mr Revel Horwood to choose which star to save. They unanimously saved Mr Robshaw.

When asked by Tess Daly about their time on the show, Mr Skinner replied: “I’ve loved it. I’ve never danced before, and my stay was short, but Amy’s amazing.

“It’s been great fun and I’ve enjoyed it. I can’t really dance that well, but I’ve had fun!

“Thank you, Amy – sorry that we haven’t done too good, because you’re a different class.”

Ms Dowden, who overcame breast cancer to return to the show last year, provided an emotional response to the Strictly host.

The professional dancer continued: “We’ve worked so hard and a Glitterball [Trophy] would have been amazing, but what I’ve learnt in the last few years is happiness, health, and being alive is more important than anything.

“I’ve made a new friend for life, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

“There is a Ballroom boy in there, so I’m a bit gutted he didn’t get to do the Ballroom, but the last three years, as you know, have been quite difficult for me.

“I lost all confidence as a dancer – but walking into the room with you with a massive smile and a laugh, you brought me back and, honestly, thank you.”

The result will undoubtedly be a disappointing one for Mr Skinner, who just 24 hours earlier had expressed on social media just how much he was enjoying the experience.

Minutes after their Saturday night Salsa, Mr Skinner posted on X: “LOVED EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF THAT!! I know I ain’t the best dancer. But I’m trying.

“And Amy has been amazing!! Enjoying the rest of the dancers! They’re all amazing. An if you want to see me next week. Please vote for me & Amy. Love you all. Bosh.” (sic)

Strictly star Lewis Cope branded ‘show off’ by fans after performance leaves them divided

    Some people were unimpressed…

Strictly Come Dancing fans have labelled Lewis Cope as a “show off” following his performance on the programme.

The Emmerdale star is one of the many famous faces taking part in this year’s series of the glitzy BBC One show. Partnered with Katya Jones, the pair have become firm favourites with viewers.

On Saturday (October 4) Lewis and Katya were back on the dance floor for the second live show. But Lewis quickly found himself in hot water after fans called out his “smug” behaviour.

On Strictly Come Dancing, Lewis and Katya performed a stunning Viennese Waltz.

The performance went down a treat with the judges, with Anton Du Beke saying: “You are very talented. You are super.”

Shirley Ballas also praised the routine, but fans couldn’t help but notice a ‘feud’ between the judge and Lewis’ partner Katya.

As for Lewis and Katya’s score, the pair bagged a total of 55 points (with 28 points that have been combined from last week) – putting them at second place on the leaderboard.

    Fans call out ‘arrogant’ Lewis

However, fans couldn’t help but share their thoughts on Lewis – with some left unimpressed as they accused him of being a “show off”.

“I really can’t warm up to him, so smug,” said one disgruntled viewer on X.

Another added: “Lewis is a great dancer but idk he’s a bit too show-off-y for my liking. If he can tone it down a bit, I think l’d like his dances a bit more.”

A third chimed in: “I’m not gonna deny Lewis is talented but he’s coming across as a show off with the flipping around and it felt a little fast.”

A fourth also wrote: “Both Lewis and Katya, for me, need to make sure their routines don’t come across as trying too hard to show everything they can do. Nothing wrong with leaving us wanting a bit more.” A fifth penned: “He’s a bit too arrogant.”

Nonetheless, other Strictly fans were loving Lewis, and even predicted the talented star could take home the Glitterball trophy.

“That was fantastic Lewis and Katya,” gushed one person. Another said: “Ok so Lewis is the winner right?”

Echoing their thoughts, a third wrote: “OMG Lewis and Katya Amazing Powerful Stunning loved it.”

A fourth also commented: “Lewis is so good, i just wish katya’s choreography was less showoffy and a little cleaner.”

Strictly Come Dancing fans divided by Shirley Ballas after Lewis Cope and Katya Jones critique

Strictly Come Dancing fans have called out Shirley Ballas over her critique of 2025 contestants Lewis Cope and Katya Jones.

The beloved dancer was back on the judging panel on Saturday night (October 4) for the glitzy BBC One show’s second live instalment. As usual, Shirley was on hand to share her thoughts on the famous faces taking to the dance floor.

But it appears her critique of actor Lewis Cope and pro partner Katya Jones didn’t go down well with fans, as they claimed that “Shirley isn’t even trying to hide her dislike for Katya”.

Shirley Ballas divides Strictly viewers after Lewis and Katya dance

On Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday (October 4) actor Lewis Cope and pro partner Katya Jones performed a Viennese Waltz to Lose Control by Teddy Swims.

Sharing her feedback after, Shirley told the Emmerdale star and his dancer: “The music was really refined and soft. I found it all too aggressive.”

The audience then started to boo Shirley to which she aimed her finger and told them: “Hold on, hold on, hold on.”

She went on: “If you never worked on power another day in your life, then do yourself a favour, you’re gifted in it. You can jump, you can split, you can tick all those boxes but then when you get hold of your lady there’s something like a long neck, there is something like posture.”

    What did Shirley say?

Shirley continued: “I’m not saying it has to be perfect when you create a line you can have the most ugly line and it can still look beautiful.”

Turning to Katya, Shirley said: “So for you [Katya] when he talks about refinement, that’s what he means.

“He means about the swan-like neck. I get your power, I love everything about your power, I think you’re destined for greatness in this competition but for me, I don’t see the crash, bang, wallop that everybody else sees.”

Despite her critical analysis, Shirley went on to award Lewis and Katya a score of six, giving the pair a total score of 27.

    Viewers ‘convinced Shirley dislikes Katya’

However, after Shirley’s comments, Strictly viewers were left livid and accused Shirley of showing disdain towards Katya.

In recent years, fans have claimed Shirley seems to be particularly critical of particular stars of the show, including Katya. And after Shirley’s latest comments, the same claims from fans flew in.

“Shirley is already irritating me this series convinced she dislikes Katya every series,” said one person on X. Another added: “Shirley isn’t even trying to hide her dislike for Katya!”

A third chimed in: “Shirley just doesn’t like Katya does she.” Echoing their thoughts, someone else mused: “What is Shirley’s problem with Katya ? Every time Katya has a contender Shirley is harsh with him.”

Some fans ‘agree’ with Shirley Ballas

A fifth wrote: “So unprofessional and biased. Fed up of her. Feels like she’s going to have a go at him no matter what he does.” A sixth also penned: “Her cruel feud with Katya is too obvious.”

Another viewer also declared: “Shirley needs to be less obvious in her dislike of the wonderful Katya.”

Nonetheless, other Strictly fans defended Shirley, with one person writing: “I completely agree with Shirley Ballas. There’s a time for crash bang wallop. The waltz is not that time. That’s down to the choreographer and not the pupil.”

Another penned: “Why is Shirley getting [bleep]? She is right that was too over the top.” A third chimed in: “Agree with Shirley – it was too much Tango aggression in a Waltz.”

ED! has contacted Shirley’s representatives for comment.

‘I Fought For Myself’: Gogglebox’s Amy Tapper Brings Fans To Tears With Emotional Story Of Her Weight Loss Battle [VIDEO]

Former Gogglebox personality Amy Tapper has disclosed a remarkable physical transformation, having shed seven and a half stone through the use of Mounjaro weight loss injections over the past twelve months.

The 25-year-old discussed her journey during an interview on Thursday, where she detailed the dramatic changes she has experienced.

Ms Tapper, who departed from the Channel 4 programme in 2017 alongside her family members, has struggled with weight management since her early years.

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, she described experiencing repeated cycles of weight reduction followed by regaining the lost pounds.

The television personality credited the injectable medication with bringing her a sense of “peace” that had previously eluded her throughout her life.

Her transformation has seen her progress from a size 26 to size 18, representing a significant change in her physical appearance and health.

The reality television personality has adopted a protein-rich diet featuring fresh foods as part of her new lifestyle.

Due to the medication’s effect on satiety, she typically consumes either lunch or dinner rather than both meals.

Ms Tapper revealed her intention to maintain the treatment regime for the foreseeable future, viewing it as a long-term solution rather than a temporary measure.

Her approach combines the pharmaceutical intervention with dietary modifications, creating a comprehensive strategy for sustained weight management that has broken her previous pattern of fluctuating weight loss and gain.

During her television appearance, she advocated for improved accessibility of weight loss medications through the National Health Service for individuals who require them.

“People think it suppresses your appetite, which it does, but it does so many other things,” she explained to ITV presenter Kate Garraway.

The former reality star expressed her belief that such treatments should be more readily obtainable for patients in need, issuing a plea to the NHS: “I think it needs to be much more available to people that need it on the NHS.”

Her comments highlight ongoing debates about healthcare provision and access to newer pharmaceutical interventions for weight management, particularly as these medications demonstrate broader health benefits beyond their primary appetite-suppressing properties.

Ms Tapper’s weight management journey mirrors that of her father Jonathan, who successfully reduced his weight by three stone in 2019 following a Type 2 diabetes diagnosis.

Jonathan decreased from 21 stone three pounds to 18 stone eight pounds through a combination of high-intensity exercise and calorie-controlled prepared meals, reducing his waist measurement from 44 to 38 inches.

'Bitter and sad!' Reform UK told to IGNORE Labour's EU reset - because it's 'not 2016 any more'

Both Reform and the Conservatives have been branded ‘cranks’ for opposing the Brexit reset deal

Reform UK has been told to “get a new gig” amid a row with Labour over its European Union reset deal.

Sir Keir Starmer secured new arrangements with Brussels on a number of issues earlier this year, including defence and migration.

Britain and the EU also reached a 12-year agreement on fishing.

But the deal has been widely panned by Brexiteers – who have dubbed it a “surrender”.

On Sunday, a leading think tank warned that the accord would do almost nothing to boost trade – and urged policymakers to look inwards to the UK rather than to Europe to boost growth.

While in the past, Nigel Farage has suggested it could mean “the end” of Britain’s fishing industry, and ex-Home Secretary Suella Braverman has labelled it a “betrayal of democracy” and “an insult” to 17.4 million Brexit voters.

Now, a Cabinet Office source has told GB News that Reform and the Conservatives should “get a new gig”, adding that it is “not 2016 anymore”.

“Very bitter, very sad, from Tories and Nigel Farage,” the source said.

“They want to rip up a deal that benefits jobs and bills in the United Kingdom, and all because they are incapable of bringing themselves to have any relationship with Europe

The Government has said the deal would almost £9billion into Britain’s economy

“Maybe it is a lack of aspiration thing. Maybe they’re just cranks.

“Cooked aura farming. It’s not 2016 anymore. Get a new gig.”

The Government previously said that it believes the agreement could lower food prices and increase choice on supermarket shelves.

Some foods that were previously prevented from being sold in the EU since Brexit have been returned to European shelves, including British sausages and Aberdeen Angus burgers.

    @Nigel_Farage's video Tweet
Nigel Farage has suggested the deal could mean ‘the end’ of Britain’s fishing industry

Speaking at the UK-EU Summit at Lancaster House earlier this year, the Prime Minister said: “It’s time to look forward.

“To move on from the stale old debates and political fights to find common sense, practical solutions which get the best for the British people.

“We’re ready to work with partners if it means we can improve people’s lives here at home.

“So that’s what this deal is all about – facing out into the world once again, in the great tradition of this nation.

“Building the relationships we choose, with the partners we choose, and closing deals in the national interest. Because that is what independent, sovereign nations do.”

Labour also said the deal would almost £9billion into Britain’s economy.

“We have reset our relations with the EU – our closest partner and biggest market – to support British businesses, back British jobs, and put more money in people’s pockets,” a Government spokesman said.

“Our agreement will help make food cheaper, slash red tape, open up access to the EU market and add nearly £9billion to the UK economy.”

A think tank has however claimed the EU reset deal will do almost nothing to boost trade, with businesses facing the possibility of higher costs.

“A ‘reset’ which focuses on a regulatory realignment with the EU may not be essential for the UK’s economic growth,” the think tank said.

“Policymakers would be better looking to domestic economic reform […] or trading opportunities beyond the EU.”

    People were not happy!

Motsi Mabuse has come under fire for her “ridiculous” feedback to Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Carney.

The glitzy BBC One show returned to screens on Saturday night (October 4) for its second live show. Taking to the dance floor, were famous faces like Amber Davies, Alex Kingston and Thomas Skinner.

Strictly Karen Carney on ‘really hard’ health issue

On Strictly on Saturday night (October 4) Karen and Carlos performed a tango to the Dua Lipa song Training Season.

However, during the VT, and before their dance, Karen opened up about suffering from a spinal health issue.

“I have this thing called Scheuermann’s. I’ve had it since I was a kid. It’s a curve in my spine. It’s really, really hard for me to open my back up,” Karen shared.

She added: “There’s certain elements that I just won’t be able to do as well.”

Nonetheless, that didn’t stop Karen from giving it 100% as she and Carlos took to the dance floor to perform their routine.

Once they were done, Karen and Carlos received their feedback – but it was judge Motsi’s comment that didn’t go down well with people watching at home.

What did Motsi say about Karen?

Motsi said: “First of all thank you for sharing with us about your curved spine.”It is going to be something that we have to challenge to see how far we can stretch and open because it is a ballroom dance and a specific posture that we need.”

She then noted that she could “feel the nerves” from Karen, but added that she performed some “great spins”.

Motsi also shared: “Think about breathing, loosening up, connecting to your partner and really understanding the fundamentals, and then we will get there.”

After receiving the feedback, Karen and Carol were given their scores. Craig Revel Horwood gave them 4, Motsi gave 5, Shirley Ballas gave 5 and Anton Du Beke gave 6, giving them a total of 20 points.

However, Strictly viewers took an issue with Motsi’s feedback and rushed over to X to call her out.

One person fumed: “Quite disgusted that Karen opened up about having a condition that causes a curved spine and Motsi’s reaction was to say they should “challenge” it instead of accommodating it.”

Another added: “So Karen says she has a curved spine and Motsi says she needs to stretch it out. What is the woman on?  Criticising someone for something they cannot do anything about is beyond ridiculous.”

A third chimed in: “Did Motsi just suggest that Karen has to ‘work’ on her spine curvature.”

Someone else mused: “Motsi being a bit harsh and too personal with mentioning the curved spine and how it may affect her scoring.. It’s a medical condition. Hope she treats all other competitors with that same view point!”

A fifth wrote: “Thank u craig for adding some positives atleast, god forbid someone has something they CANNOT change. you can’t fix a curved spine overnight.”

Thomas Skinner fans have rallied around the reality TV star after he and Amy Dowden became the first couple on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing to be sent home.

Following an underwhelming Salsa that landed them at the bottom of the Week Two leaderboard, Mr Skinner found himself in the dreaded dance-off against rugby star Chris Robshaw.

Mr Robshaw and his pro partner, Nadiya Bychkova, were unanimously saved by the judges, meaning Mr Skinner and Ms Dowden were eliminated, which prompted emotional reactions from them both.

When asked by Tess Daly about his experience on the show, Mr Skinner replied: “I’ve loved it. I’ve never danced before, and my stay was short, but Amy’s amazing.

Paying tribute to his dance partner, Mr Skinner added: “Thank you, Amy – sorry that we haven’t done too good, because you’re a different class.”

Ms Dowden, who overcame breast cancer to return to the show last year, provided an emotional response. The tearful pro dancer’s early exit comes a year after she had to withdraw from the 2024 series due to injury.

Heaping praise on Mr Skinner, Ms Dowden said: “I’ve got to know the real Tom, and he is adorable. He’s looked after me. We’ve laughed so much.

Mr Skinner has faced his fair share of obstacles since signing up to star in the series, with online trolls targeting him over his patriotic and anti-woke views on social media.

Others have weaponised a social meeting he had with US Vice President JD Vance, while his previous run-ins with the law also became a stick to beat him with.

Add to the mix an affair scandal from three and a half years ago, which he owned up to and apologised to his wife for, and it’s clear to see Mr Skinner’s journey was far from plain sailing.

Therefore, it was inevitable that when reacting to Mr Skinner’s exit, several viewers claimed Ms Dowden “deserved better”, while other critics simply celebrated the Apprentice star’s elimination with their usual attacks.

However, his supporters hit back at the vitriol spewed by his opponents, including one X user who fumed: “Poor @iamtomskinner his #Strictly journey sabotaged by #woke #Bosh.”

“Woke nonsense #strictly,” a second slammed before a third reached out: “Well said, Amy. Tom is not my politics, but it doesn’t make him a bad person. #Strictly.”

A fourth also slammed the reception to Mr Skinner’s exit from certain viewers: “I see the usual bitter nutters are watching. They really need to get a life. #strictly.”

“I feel so sorry for Amy but he has had a s**t time as well,” a fifth weighed in: “They both deserved a bit better. The other guy is solid with no movement at all, seems like there is not much personality there either. Amy we love you! #StrictlyComeDancing.”

Strictly Come Dancing sparked fury from fans online after it debuted a brand-new format for the highly anticipated results show. On Sunday night (October 5), viewers up and down the country tuned in for the second instalment of the dance competition as they eagerly awaited to see which couple would be voted out of the competition. Last year, the professional dancers opened the show with a group dance before delivering half of the results.

Before the final round of the cast results, Claudia hosted the judges’ critiques and the musical act before closing the show with the dreaded dance-off and eliminating one couple from the competition. But this year, producers shook up the format, instead opening the show with a reflection of last night’s show, pushing the group dance to halfway through the show, and splitting up the results segment into three sections instead of two.

It didn’t take long before viewers flooded to X – formerly known as Twitter – to voice their frustrations online, as one fumed: “Nqw they don’t announce the first bottom two couple at the start? Can they stop changing the format please, I don’t like it.”

Another agreed: “I hate the new results show format, it’s so weird I preferred it before” as a third chimed in with: “Dear Strictly producers. The new Results show format is terrible – please change it back as a matter of urgency. By next week at the latest – ideally partway through this show.”

A fourth chimed in: “The new results format made me feel like I just watched it on 1.5x speed.” A fifth pointed out, “I don’t like the new format where the last four couples discover if they’re in the dance off.”

It comes after Thomas Skinner and Amy Dowden became the first couple to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing after the dreaded dance-off against Chris Robsha and Nadiya Bychkova. After both couples danced their hearts out, all four judges voted to save Chris and Nadiya when they delivered their final verdicts, ultimately bidding farewell to the entrepreneur.

Before their farewell performance, Thomas took the time to shower his dance partner with praise. He gushed: “I’ve loved it. I’ve never danced before, and my stay was short, but Amy’s amazing. It’s been great fun and I’ve enjoyed it. I can’t really dance that well, but I’ve had fun! Thank you, Amy – sorry that we haven’t done too good ’cause you’re a different class.”

As the dramatic scenes hit the airwaves, viewers flocked to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their thoughts on his elimination online. One user penned: “Thomas Skinner voted out!” as another agreed: “SO glad Thomas has gone, but I’m gutted for Amy, she deserves 10 times better!”

A third chimed in with: “The first celebrity couple out of Strictly 2025 are… Thomas and Amy. Amy we’re so, so sorry for what you’ve had to put up with.” A fourth echoed: “Thank God Thomas has gone. BOSH.”

“UNFORGIVABLE!” — Viewers OUTRAGED as Motsi Mabuse SHAMELESSLY Humiliates Pregnant Woman LIVE on Strictly…witnessed by millions of people, The Moment That Sparked Nationwide Fury.k

STRICTLY’S Motsi Mabuse has been slammed after demanding that Dianne Buswell and Stefan Dennis should rehearse more after their performance last night.

Despite welfare rules the judge urged the pair ‘find a way’ to practice more even though Stefan, 66, is the oldest contestant on the show and his pro partner Dianne is pregnant.

Dianne and Stefan performed the Cha Cha Cha to Give It Up by KC and The Sunshine Band.

It seemed that nerves ended up getting the best of Stefan resulting in a mistake-ridden performance.

The judges panel gave a mixed review with Craig Revel Horwood branding the dance “stompy” and “stiff” whilst Anton Du Beke thought it was “very good” in places.

Although it was judge Motsi who had some choice words for the pair.

She began: “You have a brilliant partnership, and you have a brilliant energy.

“You guys are like sunshine when you pair up together.”

“I’m going to have to address the elephant in the room, there were lots of tiny tiny mistakes everywhere,” she was then met with a chorus of boo’s from the audience.

Motsi hit back at the audience: “There were guys sorry, lets just be honest.”

“Just let’s try next time to rehearse and stick to the routine.”

A disgruntled Dianne fired back at the comment: “I don’t know how much more we can rehearse Motsi.”

Mosti continued: “Find a way I don’t know, we have to get one performance without those tiny tiny creepers in there.”

Stefan also went on to explain that even before stepping onto the floor he was ‘petrified’ admitting that the routine had completely ‘stumped’ him.

The pair ended up receiving a score of just 17 placing them as one of the lower scoring couples on this week’s leaderboard.

Dianne is currently expecting her first child with fellow Strictly star Joe Sugg.

Insiders had previously revealed that the red-haired beauty was pacing herself in rehearsals, with regular breaks during sessions with various welfare measures put in place.

An insider had told the Daily Mail: “There are duty of care and welfare measures in place for everyone working on Strictly.

“As with all sessions, there will have been regular breaks and rest/warm-up periods, and the rehearsal will have been led by Dianne and tailored to the pace of her and her partner.”

Fans rushed to X (formerly known as Twitter) outraged by Motsi’s comments, one fan penned: “I’m sorry but its clear that Stefan and Dianne have been rehearsing all day, every day, all week…they can’t magic more time…such an uncalled for comment!”

“I’m so glad Dianne fired back at that rehearsal comment what else do they think they’ve been doing what a bizarre criticism,” added another.

A third chimed: “I feel like telling the eldest contestant with the pregnant pro to rehearse more when they have been doing long days and its clear it was because of nerves and not lack of rehearsal is an extremely unfair thing to say.”

“Dianne was NOT happy with the rehearse more comment and I’m glad because I nearly jumped out my seat in anger lol,” a fourth agreed.

Motsi Mabuse sparks fresh BBC Strictly row as fans blast ‘horrible’ remark to pregnant Dianne Buswell: ‘Extremely unfair!’

Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse has sparked controversy after suggesting pregnant professional dancer Dianne Buswell and her celebrity partner Stefan Dennis need to increase their practice time following Saturday night’s error-laden performance.

The 66-year-old Neighbours actor, who is this series’s oldest competitor, had performed a Cha Cha to Give It Up by KC and The Sunshine Band, earning just 17 points from the judging panel.

Ms Mabuse praised the duo’s partnership and energy, describing them as “like sunshine when you pair up together” before addressing what she called “the elephant in the room”.

She highlighted numerous small errors throughout the routine, prompting boos from the studio audience.

“There were guys, sorry, let’s just be honest,” Ms Mabuse told the crowd. “Just let’s try next time to rehearse and stick to the routine.”

The 36-year-old Australian professional, who is expecting her first child with partner Joe Sugg, immediately challenged the judge’s critique during the live broadcast. “I don’t know how much more we can rehearse, Motsi!” she responded.

When Ms Buswell protested about their rehearsal schedule, Ms Mabuse persisted: “Find a way, I don’t know, we have to get one performance without those tiny tiny creepers in there.”

Mr Dennis later revealed he had been “petrified” before taking to the dancefloor, acknowledging the routine had completely “stumped” him.

The reigning champion professional is the first dancer to compete whilst pregnant in the show’s history. She announced before the 2025 series launch that she and Mr Sugg, her 2018 celebrity partner, were expecting a baby boy.

BBC insiders previously confirmed that welfare protocols are in place for all participants, with sessions featuring regular breaks and rest periods. The rehearsals are reportedly tailored to accommodate both dancers’ needs.

The programme introduced stricter training limitations in 2023 following internal misconduct investigations. Couples are now restricted to 48 hours of practice weekly, equivalent to eight hours daily across six days, with mandatory chaperones present during all training sessions.

Social media users swiftly condemned the judge’s remarks. On X, one Strictly viewer hit out: “Such a horrible comment to make. That will make people think they haven’t put the time in.”

A second weighed in: “I thought Strictly capped the amount of hours they could rehearse to 8 hours a day? So how can the judges be giving out comments like ‘you need to rehearse more’ when they’ve been doing their 8 hours a day… every day. They aren’t allowed.”

Elsewhere, a third fumed: “Dianne was NOT happy with the ‘rehearse more’ comment and I’m glad because I nearly jumped out of my seat in anger lol #strictly.”

“I feel like telling the eldest contestant with the pregnant pro to rehearse more when they have been doing long days, and it’s clear it was because of nerves and not lack of rehearsal is an extremely unfair thing to say #Strictly,” a fourth added.

And a fifth echoed: “I’m so glad Dianne fired back at that rehearsal comment. What the hell else do they think they’ve been doing? What a bizarre criticism #strictly.”

A sixth also argued: “I’m sorry but it’s clear that Stefan and Dianne have been rehearsing all day, every day, all week…they can’t magic more time…such an uncalled for comment! #strictly.”

“Ouch Motsi. Rehearse! I think they did #Strictly,” a seventh concurred before another hit out: “‘Let’s try next time to rehearse’what the f*** does she think they’ve been doing all week? Motsi’s on a right one this week #Strictly.” (sic)

Ms Mabuse’s comments to Ms Buswell weren’t the only ones that landed her in hot water with the Strictly fandom.

The judge also faced criticism for a “harsh” and “ridiculous” comment to Karen Carney after the former Lioness revealed she had a health condition that affected her spine.

“I have this thing called Scheuermann’s,” Ms Carney told BBC viewers. “I’ve had it since I was a kid.

“It’s a curve in my spine. It’s really, really hard for me to open my back up. There’s just certain elements that I won’t be able to do as well as I’d like to, but Carlos has been really supportive, really encouraging.”

Despite the challenges posed by the condition, Ms Carney still performed her Tango, but during Ms Mabuse’s feedback, she made some questionable remarks.

Referring to Ms Carney’s health challenge, Ms Mabuse said to the former footballer: “It’s going to be something that we have to challenge to see how far we can really stretch and open up because it’s a ballroom dance and there’s a specific posture that we need.”

The Strictly star left some viewers “disgusted” by suggesting they could “challenge” the condition, with others saying it was too “personal”.

Fans Can’t Stop Laughing As BBC Radio 2 Host Turns Bright Red After Hilarious Weakest Link Slip-Up

The Weakest Link fans were left in stitches after one BBC Radio 2 presenter was left red-faced after suffering an awkward gaffe. On Saturday (October 4), host Romesh Ranganathan welcomed some of his fellow Radio 2 colleagues onto the show in an effort to win up to £50,000 for their chosen charity. This week, radio presenters Scott Mills, Rylan Clark, Zoe Ball, Tony Blackburn, Jo Whiley, Trevor Nelson, Michael Ball, and Sally ‘Traffic’ Boazman came onto the show for a special celebrity special.

During the first round of the show, the stars were asked a series of music-based question to warm up but Trevor was left utterly ashamed after he got one question embarrassingly wrong. Romesh asked him: “In events, the 2025 Glastonbury Festival took place in which month of the year?” to which he incorrectly answered: “July” instead of “June”.

It didn’t take long before viewers flocked to X – formerly known as Twitter – to poke fun at the gap in his knowledge online. One user penned: “Not so clever Trevor” as another chuckled: “Oh dear, not knowing when Glastonbury is. Not a good look Trevor.” A third chimed in with: “Isn’t that ironic Trevor!”

The 61-year-old DJ couldn’t help but chuckle as he wakled off stage, later telling the camera that he’s “happy with being notorious”. He confessed: “I think I’ll go down in history as the DJ that got Glastonbury wrong, but I like being notorious.”

But he wasn’t the only broadcaster who was left embarrassed during the show, after Tony Blackburn found himself in a bit of a pickle aftet he was thrown a tricky question. The comic asked: “Trevor, what D is the term for a male duck?”

Completely stumped, Tony simply replied: “A duckette?” as the cast burst into laughter around him. Rylan chuckled: “I love you Tony so much” as Zoe Ball agreed: “You’re the greatest who ever lived”. Ultimately, Tony was sent packing, leaving Rylan Clark and Michael Ball soaring through to the grand final.

In the final round, where the radio hosts were pitted against one another, they got exactly four out of five answers correct, sending them into a sudden-death round. But it was the baritone singer who stormed to success in the final round, successfully raising £11,600 for his chosen charity.

He gushed: “That’s amazing, this is for Shooting Star Children’s Hospice. I’ve been a patron for 15 years, and they do incredible work with kids with life-limiting illnesses and their families, and they’ll be thrilled to bits.”
