HEARTBREAKING: Jay Slater’s mother Issues HEARTBREAKING PLEA in Tearful Interview on BBC Breakfast

    Debbie Duncan

Jay Slater’s mum told how her family was targeted by online trolls in the wake of her son’s disappearance in an emotional interview on BBC Breakfast.

Lancashire teenager Jay disappeared in Tenerife in June 2024, leading to a month-long search until the 19-year-old’s body was found in a national park on the island. It was later determined that he had d!ed after a fall.

    Jay Slater and his mum

Appearing on BBC Breakfast on Thursday (September 25), his mum Debbie Duncan told how the family had been inundated with online abuse and misinformation after he went missing. With all the misinformation circulating, she “didn’t know what to believe” about his whereabouts.

“It was just unbelievable,” she told hosts Ben Thompson and Sarah Campbell, sharing: “I think I just had a breakdown.”

She and her family are now calling for Jay’s Law, which would see tighter regulations online to stop misinformation about missing people.

“It was just insane,” said Debbie. “It was just, you know, it’s this, it’s that, every day. And we’d get back and get together after they’d all been out searching. And it’s like, yeah, it could be this, it could be that.”

“It was just unbelievable,” she said. “It was just, we were out there, we were desperate. And then all this misinformation… you didn’t know what was real and what wasn’t real.

“And then obviously when we found Jay, it just blew up even more.”

Debbie said when Jay’s body was found, she and her family “didn’t feel like there was any sympathy there from these people, but they just kind of sensationalised it all online”.

“I just don’t want another family to have to go through what we’ve been through,” Debbie explained.

Over a year after Jay’s d3ath, Debbie said that she “still can’t bring myself to unpack his case.”

However, she has unpacked a bag her son had with him when he d!ed.

Visibly emotional as she went through it, she shared, “So this is the bag Jay had with him when he was found. And we got handed this from the Guardia Civil. And it’s got these things in it. His driving licence, and then there’s this bottle of aftershave. And then his lighters.”

SAD NEWS: Gogglebox star Amy Tapper raises concerns with dire warning about weight loss and what she is suffering has left viewers heartbroken

Amy Tapper has revealed her plans to stay on weight loss jab Mounjaro ‘for life’. The TV star, 26, who is best known for appearing on the Channel 4 reality show Gogglebox, has lost seven stone since combining doses of the controversial drug with diet and exercise over the course of the last year.

    Article continues below

During an appearance on ITV’s Good Morning Britain on Thursday, Amy admitted: “That is what I’ve been advised by my doctor. Because I think a lot of the way that people look at the injection is as a quick fix.

“And it is, it’s very quick, but it’s not fixing you forever. The minute you come off of it, my body is going to start doing what it was doing before which means, yeah, I will be on it for life. We’ll look through it and we’ll see as we go along, we don’t know what can happen but I’m on the highest dose at the moment.”

ITV Daytime star Dr Amir Khan was listening into the conversation, and he acknowledged that Amy had a ‘compelling story’ to tell with her health journey but did insist that two years was the maximum time an individual should take the injection for in general.

He added: “That two years gives an ample time to make those changes perhaps, with movement, the sleep, the stress that all contribute to weight.”

“In my opinion, I think that if you don’t have more than about three stone to lose, I just don’t think you need to be on it because a lot of that will be excess weight. I think people have forgotten what an old-fashioned diet and exercise is. We went through such a body positivity stage, and now it’s gone back to ‘Let’s all be stick thin again!’

“I’m not doing this for an aesthetic look or anything. I was so used to being overweight if that’s the way it was going to be, then that was the way it was going to be.

When asked about the benefits the weight loss has had on her mental health, Amy admitted that it has allowed her to stop thinking about things the way she used to and she is now in a ‘peaceful’ place within her own head.

She said: “It’s peaceful, that’s what it is. Being on a diet all my life, going out with friends, I have to look at the menu, make sure I can eat there. I don’t have to think about anything. I’m sure I’ll find something, I just don’t have to think about it and my whole head is just peaceful.”

Amy has made no secret about her weight loss method. Speaking to The Sun, she disclosed she received assistance from Mounjaro, explaining she “felt there was nothing else I could do”.

Amy shared: “I’m fitting into size 18 clothes for the first time since I was 15 or 16 – it’s hard for me to believe. It’s changed my life. I went to the theatre the other night and when I sat down, my thighs weren’t touching the person next to me, or the sides of the chairs. I had room.”

However, Amy pointed out: “I get annoyed though that some people call it the ‘lazy way out’. I don’t want people to think that I’ve sat around for the last 17 years of my life not trying to lose weight.

“I want people to know that this has been my only option to get this far.”

BREAKING: Sarah Ferguson set to face NEW ROYAL DRAMA – and it’s got nothing to do with Epstein

I worked for Royal Family – Sarah Ferguson had nickname for some men | Royal | News | Express.co.uk

Sarah Ferguson is set to face a fresh headache this year, even after her latest ordeal regarding her links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Sarah, Duchess of York has dominated news headlines around the world this week following the disclosure of an email she sent to the paedophile financier in which she described him as a “supreme friend”.

Amid the backlash, several charities severed ties with Fergie, as she is affectionately known, after it emerged that she had apologised to the s3x offender in April 2011 after publicly disowning him in an interview. Now, the Duchess is bracing for a fresh royal drama to drop as a new TV series focusing on the life of her former aide, who k!lled her partner, will be released.

    Jane Andrews

Royal dresser Jane Andrews was convicted of murdering her boyfriend 25 years ago.

She worked for the Duchess for nine years, from 1988 until 1997. Three years later, she beat her wealthy boyfriend, Tom Cressman, with a cricket bat in his sleep before stabbing him with a kitchen knife at their flat in Fulham, London.

In 2001, she went to trial at the Old Bailey, where she was convicted of murder and was sentenced to life in prison.

Ms Andrews spent 14 years in prison before being released on licence in 2015, but she was recalled back in 2018 after claims were made against her for harassing a married man, with police who investigated the case taking no action after finding no evidence. She was re-released in 2019.

ITV’s new crime drama will follow the rise and fall of the Cleethorpes-born royal dresser whose dream life came crashing down when she was convicted of murder.

The series, which was written by Humans and Call the Midwife writer Debbie O’Malley, is set to explore the events in Andrews’ life that led up to her committing murder.

It will show her humble beginnings and will follow the character’s extraordinary ascent into the upper echelons of British society as the Duchess’s trusted dresser.

The Lady boasts an all-star cast, with BAFTA Rising Star winner Mia McKenna-Bruce taking on the lead role as Jane Andrews. Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer transforms into Sarah, Duchess of York, while Outlander’s Ed Speleers steps into the role of Thomas Cressman.

The drama also features Philip Glenister, Claire Skinner, Laura Aikman, Ophelia Lovibond, Mark Stanley, Daniel Ryan, and Sean Teale. It will air on ITV1 and STV in the UK and be available to stream on ITVX and STV Player.

Ms Andrews, now 58, appears to have found a new, quieter life with a new job as she is reportedly working at a charity-funded animal hospital.

HEARTBREAKING: Penny Lancaster Left Shaken As Gregg Wallace’s Cruel Dig Exposed Amid MasterChef Bombshell

    CELEBRITY MASTERCHEF GREGG WALLACE

Penny Lancaster has lifted the lid on her MasterChef experience (Image: BBC)

Penny Lancaster has lifted the lid on her Celebrity MasterChef experience with Gregg Wallace. In her new autobiography, the wife of Rod Stewart has unveiled what happened when she appeared on the BBC show with the former host in 2021. It comes after complaints were made against the television host last year regarding his behaviour. The MasterChef frontman faced accusations of making sexually inappropriate remarks, which Wallace strongly denies. He subsequently stepped down from his role on MasterChef in November, but a few months ago, he was officially sacked by the BBC.

During her time on the BBC show, a resurfaced clip emerged of Penny showing her embarrassment over her fried calamari and tartare sauce. As she prepared her dish, Penny confidently stated: “I’m doing surprisingly well compared to what I imagined how I’d be doing. I don’t want to slip up now.”

    GREGG WALLACE

However, things took a turn for the worse when it came to tasting her dish. Gregg Wallace informed her: “You used whole eggs instead of egg yolks.” Judge John Torode added: “What I’ve got in here is a raw egg/oil milkshake. Unfortunately, I can’t eat that.”

Penny has now made claims in her autobiography, Someone Like Me, about Greg’s behaviour. She details that he was “crass” towards fellow contestant Melanie Sykes and says she initially believed that host John Torode would give her a hard time.

She wrote: “Normally Wallace wandered around the studio with a stuck-on smile, but all I could see now was a thunderous stare. Then he marched over to my station with my tray and slammed it down. ‘I’m the judge and I make all the decisions’, he said menacingly, before heading back.”

Penny added that the encounter left her “shaking.” She also wrote about a moment when Gregg stole a flower from one of her dishes: “He stared at me, reached into his pocket, took out the orchid and dropped it on the floor in front of him. ‘There you go, there’s your flower,’ he snapped.

“Thinking about it now, I wonder why I bent down and picked it up. It was such a demeaning position to be placed in, as if his behaviour was part of a massive power-play.”

Penny also said that when she left the studio, she was in tears and claimed that no one in the production team spoke to her about the incident.

What’s more, when the allegations against Gregg came to light, Penny’s husband, Sir Rod Stewart, scornfully branded Wallace as a “tubby, bald-headed, ill-mannered bully.”

Posting on Instagram before Christmas, his fiery remark read: “So Greg Wallace gets fired from Masterchef. Good riddance Wallace…You humiliated my wife when she was on the show but you had that bit cut out didn’t you? You’re a tubby, bald-headed, ill-mannered bully. Karma got ya. Sir Rod Stewart.”

Nadia Sawalha apologised moments into Loose Women today, Thursday 25 September, as she admitted to feeling “overwhelmed” while discussing her partner Mark’s mental health struggles. Following Wayne Rooney’s recent admission about how his wife, Coleen, helped him through his struggles with alcohol and saved his life, the panellists discussed supporting their partners. Nadia shared: “Mark does have mental health issues, and I support him through that from a position of, ‘I’m so lucky, I don’t go through it’.

“So when he’s low it can be very hard, but it’s not as hard as what he’s going through. I’ll support him, I’ll help him see pinholes of light when it’s very dark, and… sorry, I don’t know why I just got overwhelmed there.”

Composing herself, she continued: “I just have so empathy and sympathy for people that struggle with addiction and mental health. It’s not an easy swipe this way or that.”

She added that she’s co-dependent with Mark, saying that after meeting him, it took a while to recognise his addiction struggles.

“I’d already seen his heart and his soul and his beautiful brain and all those things.

“If you say it’s managing or rescuing, there was no choice because I was already there with who he was.”

Nadia has previously spoken about Mark suffering from depression, telling Hello! in 2022: “We’ve been married for almost twenty years, and I would say it’s only really in the last few years that I’ve fully understood what living with depression means.

“I will be honest, a couple of decades ago I was from the school of thought that said: ‘Think positively and cheer up’. Why wouldn’t I have been? I had never had a conversation, read a book or ‘knowingly’ met anyone with depression.”

She added: “In sickness and in health is one of my favourite vows and I take it very seriously. Knowing I can ease some of his pain by just being constant and kind is a privilege. Don’t get me wrong it’s incredibly tough at times for me but never as tough as it is for him.”

The couple married in 2002 and share two daughters together.

Holly Willoughby looked downcast as she stepped out to run errands in London on Tuesday.

It was the TV presenter’s first public outing since she left fans unimpressed after she showed off her recent freebie £1,495 private healthcare treatment.

Holly, 44, opted for a laid back look for the day, wrapping up in a black jacket which she wore with matching leggings and boots.

The former This Morning host added to her look with a light grey jumper and dark grey T-shirt.

Sporting a stylish pair of sunglasses, Holly completed her outfit with a black cap.

But Holly’s post didn’t go down well with some of her followers, who pointed out the high cost of the treatment would put it out of reach for many.

‘If only we were all so lucky,’ one fan wrote, according to The Sun.

Holly has since turned off comments on the post which was a paid ad.

In her post, Holly wrote: ‘Recently @ezrainc very kindly invited me for a multi-organ MRI scan, checking for early signs of cancer and 500+ other conditions.

‘As we all know, early detection saves lives, and it’s incredible this is now available in London. Having that peace of mind for me and my family is so worth it.

‘As a company their hope is the more who do this the more available it is for everyone…#gifted’.

Health tech pioneer Ezra has launched its screening service in the UK, marking a major expansion beyond the US.

And Holly is the latest of a string of celebrities who have undergone a full body check as she joins the likes of Kim Kardashian, Kate Hudson and Cindy Crawford..

Kim was criticised when she underwent a similar check when she posted two images on Instagram about her scan from Prenuvo, calling the technology ‘life saving.’

In the comments of Kim’s post, users said that these scans are inaccessible to most people.

‘Kim, this is for wealthy people. People can’t afford food right now,’ one user said.

Another commented: ‘The fact majority of society can’t even afford insurance for a simple wellness checkup.’

And a user on Twitter said: ‘I usually take all my medical advice from Kim Kardashian! I’m already penciled in for a lobotomy next week.’

Ezra’s AI-powered scans currently last an hour and cover 13 organs, with the added option of an extra lung CT scan and heart disease screening.

As cancer rates are rising – especially among young people – the company say they are the best defence against the disease.

With early detection, treatment can start earlier and prognosis improves dramatically.

The AI technology has already significantly reduced scan times to just one hour and provided a scoring system to help doctors prioritise findings.

A 13-organ full body scan currently costs £2,395 while the ‘plus’ option to cover the lungs and heart is an extra £300.

But as it continues to advance, the time could be reduced to just a quarter of an hour – and it could eventually cut the cost of a full-body checkup under £400.

Most experts only recommend routine, full-body scans for certain high-risk groups, such as people who have a heightened genetic risk of cancer.

Prenuvo, is one of a growing number of health startups offering $2,500 MRIs they say can detect cancer and other chronic diseases years before symptoms even begin.

It featured in a sponsored post on Kim’s Instagram page, where she described it as ‘lifesaving’.

Dr Daniel Durand, a radiologist and Prenuvo’s chief medical officer, told AP: ‘We’re trying to give people the opportunity to be more proactive about their health.’

‘The Prenuvo full-body scan has the ability to detect cancer and diseases such as aneurysms in its earliest stages, before symptoms arise,’ she wrote on Instagram. ‘It has really saved one of my friends [sic] lives and I just wanted to share.’

However, experts have cautioned that the technology isn’t worth it for the average patient in good health with no symptoms.

SAD NEWS: Penny Lancaster makes TEARFUL ANNOUNCEMENT about Rod Stewart’s cancer

Rod Stewart opens new development at Sawbridgeworth hospital - HertsLive

Rod Stewart’s prostate cancer diagnosis in 2017 has been widely documented, but at the time he wanted to keep it all top secret. After a routine appointment, it was discovered that he had an aggressive form of prostate cancer, but the famous rocker had stated that he didn’t want anybody to know at first. He told Penny that he wanted to figure out what he was dealing with.

The wait for the results, Penny said in her new book Someone Like Me, was “excruciating”. However, Rod had focused on the future and was planning his next tour while he was sat in the recovery room after treatment.

Meanwhile, Penny was silently struggling, adding that the secrecy was a challenge and she had to cut off her support network until they were further down the line. In her book, she said it was an “agonising wait”. Shortly after, she had an appearance on Loose Women in which she unexpectedly opened up on her sexual harassment she had experienced, which she believes then opened the floodgates to everything she had been feeling.

After that day, she said she felt incredibly supported, but the days that followed became a real challenge.

Penny said: “I felt incredibly low, and my depression spiralled further, and I realised that to be strong for both myself and Rod, I might need some help too.”

She explained that her GP discussed putting her on anti-depressants, but she felt that she would be “weak” if she took them. Penny said: “Silly, when I look back now. But I did need to get over this bump, to feel more able to tackle life head-on.” So she took them.

They helped her “a lot”, with Penny referring to them as the safety raft she needed until she could get back to shore.

She also began talking to a therapist, which she welcomed, as she couldn’t talk to anybody else about what was going through her mind. Penny added: “As I sat in the therapist’s room, I sobbed solidly for three hours. It’s as if a valve had been released.

“I did speak about my fears about losing Rod, about my boys losing their dad. But what also tumbled from my mouth was a bewildering mix of past trauma, triggered I believe, by the Loose Women discussion.”

While she didn’t go back after that, Penny said the timing didn’t feel right, and the skeletons needed to be “shut away for a while longer” while dealing with Rod’s diagnosis.

In July 2019 Rod got the all clear after his cancer diagnosis.

After Saturday’s launch night of the new series of Strictly Come Dancing 2025, viewers finally found out who the celebrities had been partnered with. Former Commonwealth sprinter Harry Aikines-Aryeetey was confirmed as the first celebrity competing on the Latin and ballroom show and will be dancing with Karen Hauer. You might recognise him from the Christmas special edition of Strictly, but away from the show, he is an Olympian, multi-gold medal-winning Team GB sprinter, and Gladiators icon. He previously won gold in the 4x100m relay at the European Championships and at the Commonwealth Games. Harry has also competed in two Olympic Games and is a three-time European Champion and two-time Commonwealth Champion.

In 2023, Harry was unveiled as Nitro in the hit BBC series Gladiators, but he sadly suffered a gruelling injury which forced him to withdraw from season two of the show.

During training, he suffered a horrific knee injury, which ruled him out for several weeks. According to Manchester Evening News, he said at the time: “During training for series 2 earlier this year, I picked up an unexpected knee injury, which means I’ll be shifting gears this series and sitting out the events.

“But don’t worry, I’m recharging and more energised than ever. You’ll still catch me bringing the Nitro spirit to your screens, hyping up my fellow Gladiators, and keeping the energy sky-high. Bring on series 2 of Gladiators.”

Harry said about his injury to Express.co.uk: “I feel like I’m back to myself and it’s quite nice to be able to give a full account of myself. You just appreciate it so much more. I was just walking at that point really.

“The Strictly team were so good in making sure they took care of me – they are really good at changing things and adapting them for what we can do. They look after us. I’ve conditioned myself, I’ve trained, I’ve been able to do everything well. I’m just so grateful to be back.”

It comes after Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn withdrew from the series for medical reasons and was replaced by Emmerdale star Lewis Cope.

“No One Expected THIS…” Meghan Markle’s Enormous ‘Queen’ Ring Has Ties to Goddess Diana—Its Value Will Blow You Away

The Duchess of Sussex donned more than £237,000 worth of jewellery as she attended a charity event with her husband this weekend – and among them was a hefty rock never seemingly worn by her before.

Fans are convinced Meghan Markle, 44, was sporting a very glamorous birthday present from Prince Harry, opting to show it off on her right hand, during a surprise joint appearance at Kevin Costner’s starry gathering in Santa Barbara on Saturday.

The teardrop-shaped accessory – sitting proudly on her ring finger – was complemented by some of her favourite bracelets for the One805LIVE! concert which took place at the Yellowstone actor’s oceanside estate.

It is believed to be the £3, 185 ‘Queen’ Water Drop Moonstone Ring with Full Pavé Diamond Halo, from brand Logan Hollowell – potentially gifted just in time for Meghan’s 44th, on August 4.

The ring comes in three sizes – Micro Queen, Baby Queen and Classic Queen, and it is understood that Meghan was wearing the latter, which is the biggest.

According to the product description, the central ‘moonstone’ is said to ‘bring good fortune, bring success in love as well as business matters’.

And in what may have been a touching, subtle tribute to the Duke’s late mother, it added: ‘The moonstone is associated with the moon and was the stone of the goddess Diana. The most powerful time to use the moonstone is in a full moon.’

The ring features 14k gold and the pear shaped gem surrounded by a halo of white diamonds totaling 0.25 carat weight – and is available in yellow, rose, or white gold.

It was the couple’s latest outing together comes just weeks after Prince Harry, 41, reunited with his father King Charles for the first time in 18 months for a face-to-face meeting in London.

The mother-of-two elevated the glamour of her sophisticated navy dress with diamonds, gold Cartier jewellery and her weighty engagement ring.

On one hand, the former senior royal sported Princess Diana’s Cartier Tank Française watch, worth £17,800 ($24,020), which was gifted to her after she married Prince Harry.

She stacked this on top of her 18-carat gold Cartier Love bracelet which retails for around £7,050 ($9,513). The bracelet’s screw motif symbolises eternal love, with a unique closure that locks around the wrist, representing lasting commitment.

Meghan was also seen wearing her £2,370 ($3,197) Jennifer Meyer mini bezel tennis bracelet, which is handcrafted from polished 18-carat yellow gold and was designed by Tobey Maguire’s ex-wife.

Elsewhere, there was a sizeable jewel glistening on the former actress’ finger. This is her £120,000 ($161,922) engagement ring which Prince Harry used to propose to her in 2017, a year before they married.

He designed a bespoke engagement ring, featuring a cushion-cut diamond from Botswana, symbolising their first holiday together. The ring also included two smaller round diamonds from Princess Diana’s personal collection, ensuring his late mother’s presence in their journey.

Initially crafted by Cleave & Company, Queen Elizabeth’s trusted jeweller, the ring featured a simple gold band and was valued at around £120,000.

However, less than two years later, Harry commissioned Lorraine Schwartz to resize and reset the ring with a new diamond band, which Meghan first wore at Trooping the Colour in 2019.

Meghan stacked this on top of her £10,000 ($13,493) wedding band, which was crafted from Welsh gold and was gifted to her from the late Queen, as in keeping with royal tradition.

Meghan was also seen donning her eternity ring, which retails for £80,000 ($107,947), and first caught the eye of royal watchers when she first wore it in 2019.

Placed alongside her wedding band and engagement ring, the eternity ring holds deep personal meaning as it was a gift from Harry to mark their first wedding anniversary.

Crafted with conflict-free diamonds, the ring features the birthstones of Meghan, Archie and Harry, subtly set on its underside: a green peridot, green emerald and blue sapphire.

All of the timelessly elegant pieces – not including two other golden bands on the Duchess’s wrist – added up to at least an eye-watering £237,220 ($320,091).

She also donned a sleeveless, dark navy dress as well as a pair of stylish pumps for the outdoor event – which helped raise funds for local fire, police and sheriff departments.

Her brunette locks were parted to the side and effortlessly flowed down past her shoulders in light waves.

Elsewhere, Harry was stylishly casual in a black button up which was paired with a pair of black trousers and a blazer on top.

The couple were seen arriving to the venue and began to mingle with other guests at the charity concert, taking their time to talk with first responders and law enforcement who were also at the event over the weekend.

Later, the Duke and Duchess also took to the stage to address the crowd.

The concert is an ‘annual benefit concert, bringing together legendary artists and passionate supporters to raise funds for essential equipment and mental wellness programs for Santa Barbara County’s first responders,’ per the official website.

Music artists that performed on stage included Trisha Yearwood, Good Charlotte and also The Fray.

Oprah Winfrey also stopped by the event on Saturday in a fashionable ensemble – and has had a close relationship with Meghan and Harry over the years.

Back in 2021, the couple sat down for an explosive interview with the TV personality as the pair made allegations against the Royal Family, making way for a ‘rift’ between the Sussexes.

However, it appears relations could be thawing in recent weeks.

Earlier this month, Harry spent 54 minutes with King Charles at Clarence House – their first face-to-face meeting in 18 months – amid a four-day trip to the UK.

It was the first time the Prince had seen his father in 19 months, and although he says the ‘focus really has to be on my dad’ in the next year, he declared his ‘conscience is clear’.

During a sit-down interview with The Guardian in Kyiv, where he had stopped off after a ‘pseudo royal tour’ in Britain, he said: ‘I know that [speaking out] annoys some people and it goes against the narrative.

‘The book? It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out and it needed to be corrected.’

He added: ‘I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear.

‘It is not about revenge, it is about accountability.’

Harry also revealed the words of wisdom his wife, Meghan, gave him were to ‘just stick to the truth’.

Harry’s 416-page tome Spare made a series of jaw-dropping claims and laid bare the rift within the Royal Family.

One accusation aimed at his brother accused William of leaving Harry with visible ‘scrapes and bruises’ after an alleged attack.

He claimed: ‘[William] grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor.’

It also claimed William teased Harry about his panic attacks and that King Charles put his own interests above his second son, and saw Harry reference taking cocaine, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms and his enjoyment of the TV show Friends.

The Duke of Sussex’s controversial memoir became the UK’s fastest-selling non-fiction book ever after being published by Penguin Random House in January 2023.

It comes after a royal source told the Daily Mail that the week where Harry spent four days in the UK could be the start of the Duke, Meghan and their two children being part of a ‘functioning wider family again’.

The King is said to be keen to rebuild his relationship with his son and wants to spend time with his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet, whom he has not seen for three years.

‘It’s become clear that Harry now regrets some of his actions. He wants to reset his relationship with his family and with the people of the UK,’ an insider has said.

‘It’s hard to see him ever coming back to live in Britain but this may be the start of something that at least allows them to be a functioning wider family again.’

It came after Prince Harry’s spokesman said he ‘loved’ being back in the UK and ‘catching up’ with his good causes and friends.

The Duke of Sussex wrapped up his trip with a visit to a charity set up in memory of his mother, one day after reuniting with the King.

His spokesperson gave an upbeat review of the UK tour, saying: ‘He’s obviously loved being back in the UK, catching up with old friends, colleagues and just generally being able to support the incredible work of the causes that mean so much to him.’

The Duke carried out his final engagement in Britain on Friday, an event linked to the Diana Award, in central London as he brought his four-day solo trip to a close.

In May, after losing his High Court battle with the Home Office, Harry himself told the BBC that he would ‘would love a reconciliation’ with the Royal Family, adding: ‘There’s no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious’.

The King reportedly begged his warring sons ‘not to make his final years a misery’ during an anguished meeting at Windsor Castle in 2023, but while Charles engaged with his son this week, the Prince of Wales refused to meet his brother despite being just a few miles apart at one point.

ANOTHER Strictly professional breaks ranks and dancers reignite backstage feud as show turmoil continues

Strictly Come Dancing has been plunged into further chaos, as the show’s professional dancers speak out on their frustrations.

On Wednesday night another pro, Michelle Tsiakkas, broke ranks to admit she was ‘gutted’ she didn’t have a celebrity partner for the 2025 series.

Michelle, who has been performing on the BBC show since 2022, posted an Instagram video explaining to her 59k followers her disappointment.

The video came just 24 hours after her close friend and fellow Strictly pro Nancy Xu shared her own message, admitting she felt ‘left out’ of the show.

Thanking fans for ‘all the lovely messages’, Michelle said: ‘To those of you asking how I am I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t gutted.’

Admitting that ‘that’s a normal feeling to have,’ the Cypriot Sri-Lankan dancer called having a celeb partner ‘the most beautiful and rewarding part of the show.’

On Wednesday night another Strictly pro dancer Michelle Tsiakkas broke ranks to admit she was ‘gutted’ she didn’t have a celebrity partner for the 2025 series

The 2024 series of Strictly was Michelle’s first year with a partner, and she reached week ten with EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick.

‘Last year was my first year with a partner and it made me realise just how much I enjoy the process. I think it’s the most beautiful and rewarding part of the show,’ she told fans.

‘And I also feel like last year was the first time you all started to get to know me better as well and there’s still a whole lot more of me left to discover.’

She ended her video by promising to post more updates on social media to ‘help you to get to know me better,’ and share ‘my opinions and experiences’ before reassuring her followers that ‘I’m not completely disappearing.’

Both Michelle and Nancy’s videos were flooded with supportive messages from their Strictly co-stars, but one notable absentee in Nancy’s comments section was Carlos Xu.

The dancers are childhood friends, growing up together in China, with both previously gushing about their close ‘brother sister’ relationship.

But during last year’s series the two had a major fall out backstage leading to an ‘awkward and tense’ atmosphere on set.

Carlos later broke his silence on the rift insisting in November: ‘We’re fine. We’ve been friends since childhood, and friends argue, we’re too close and are like brother and sister to completely fall out.’

But it appears the feud has been reignited as the new series kicks off. Carlos and Nancy no longer follow each other on Instagram and he also notably failed to comment on Nancy’s video message this week.

Insiders have suggested the pair fell out last year after Carlos failed to get a celebrity partner, whilst Nancy was paired with Shayne Ward.

This year Carlos has been paired with former England footballer Karen Carney, whilst Nancy has been vocal in her ‘disappointment’ at being left out of the pairings.

The Chinese dancer has confessed that she is upset that the Strictly decision makers have ‘overlooked her hard work and dedication’ since she joined the show in 2019.

On Tuesday night Nancy, 34, spoke directly to her 76,000 followers, breaking ranks from the show’s party line to admit she feels ‘left out.’

Strictly Come Dancing has been plunged into further chaos, as the show’s professional dancers express their frustrations behind the scenes

‘Thank you so much for all your kind and supportive messages that I’ve been receiving in the past few days,’ Nancy said. ‘I am ok, as you all know now, I don’t have a dance partner, on Strictly Come Dancing this year.’

‘In the very beginning when I just received the messages, it does upset me and I do feel disappointed, coming from China and arriving in this country, all I wanted is to achieve my dream and Strictly has given me such a big platform to allow me to show my skills and to show my talents, so of course this year, I feel, left out,’ she continued.

The Strictly saga shows no sign of letting up for the 2025 series with unhappy pros  and two celeb departures before the live shows even kick off.

In more news from set, it was reported on Wednesday that frustrated bosses are struggling to rein in the show’s most controversial signing – Apprentice star Thomas Skinner.

Earlier this month Thomas stormed out of a press conference whilst his participation on the BBC’s family-friendly flagship show has been overshadowed by his revelation that he cheated on wife Sinead just weeks after their wedding.

His political leanings have also sparked backlash across social media after he was pictured attending a barbeque hosted by US President Donald Trump’s number two, JD Vance – something he later called a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ event.

Thomas has drawn strong criticism for X posts saying it is ‘not far-right’ to be ‘flying your flag and loving your country’, and complaining ‘it ain’t safe out there any more’ in London, saying the city is ‘hostile’ and ‘tense’.

And now, insiders have revealed that Strictly bosses have been left in a ‘tricky’ situation regarding his social media posts.

‘He’s not BBC staff so there is nothing that can be done about his social media posts other than ask his management to have a gentle word, and they might not want to,’ the source has explained.

The insider added though that it’s unlikely Thomas will be voted out of the hit BBC show early, ‘because the public tends to like controversial figures, at least at the start.’

They added that Strictly’s decision to pair him with one of the show’s favourite pro dancers will be beneficial.

‘The feeling is he’s unlikely to be among the first to go, and could actually stay in for quite a stretch. Amy has a lot of love behind her and that is sure to help him,’ the insider told The Mirror.

It’s been a chaotic week as on Tuesday former Love Island contestant Dani Dyer, 29, was left ‘heartbroken’ as she had to pull out of the dance competition

After making his Strictly debut on Saturday, Thomas posted another X rant, insisting he won’t be cancelled and claiming his marriage is stronger than ever,  after he admitted to cheating on his wife just weeks after their 2022 wedding.

It’s been a chaotic week as on Tuesday former Love Island contestant Dani Dyer, 29, was left ‘heartbroken’ as she had to pull out of the dance competition after fracturing her ankle during rehearsals.

Her withdrawal adds yet more pressure to Strictly bosses – actor Kristian Nairn quit the series for medical reasons just last month.

The Daily Mail broke the news that Dani, 29, one of the show’s favourites, had to bow out on Tuesday, after fracturing her ankle during a training rehearsal on Friday.

The Daily Mail broke the news that Dani, 29, one of the show’s favourites, had to bow out on Tuesday, after fracturing her ankle during a training rehearsal on Friday

Dani later confirmed this in a statement and said: ‘I had a fall on Friday in rehearsals and landed funny. I thought I had rolled my foot but it swelled up badly over the weekend and after an MRI scan yesterday, it turns out I have fractured my ankle.

‘Apparently doing the quickstep on a fracture is not advisable (!!) and the doctors have said I am not allowed to dance so l’ve had to pull out of the show.

‘To say I’m heartbroken is the biggest understatement. I am so going to miss dancing with Nikita but will of course be watching closely and cheering all the couples on.’

The accident occurred before Dani even got to perform one routine.
