Dani Dyer has broken her silence after being forced to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing just days before the first live show

Dani Dyer battled back tears as she spoke out about her devastating departure from Strictly Come Dancing in a heartfelt message to her supporters. The 29-year-old made her debut on the beloved BBC competition during Saturday evening’s launch programme on 20 September, joining the other 14 famous faces taking part.

Throughout the show, viewers discovered she had been matched with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin. Nevertheless, today, mere days ahead of the inaugural live performance, it was revealed that Dani has been forced to withdraw after fracturing her ankle during a tumble whilst practising. Speaking to her 3.7 million followers through a poignant video on her Instagram stories, Dani momentarily stopped to compose herself as she became emotional.

She expressed: “Hi guys, I’m going to do this, and try and do this without crying, but yeah, I’m so heartbroken, like I’ve not felt like this in such a long time.

“I was having the best time ever… It’s just (a) very, very annoying, devastating thing that I’m kind of going through right now, but I’m probably just going to have a few days off my socials just to, you know, process things.

“I just want to thank you all so much for all your love and support. But yeah, I’m gutted, I’m absolutely gutted.”

She added: “I love everyone, everyone at Strictly is absolutely amazing. All the couples, I’m going to miss them so much. I will eventually come along and cheer them on. I just want to thank you all so much.”

In a statement released earlier today, mother of three Dani revealed: “I had a fall on Friday in rehearsals and landed funny.

“I thought I had rolled my foot but it swelled up badly over the weekend and after an MRI scan yesterday, it turns out I have fractured my ankle.

“Apparently doing the quickstep on a fracture is not advisable, and the doctors have said I am not allowed to dance, so I’ve had to pull out of the show.

“To say I’m heartbroken is the biggest understatement. I am so going to miss dancing with Nikita but will of course be watching closely and cheering all the couples on.”

Two Strictly Come Dancing stars have been inundated with support after being forced to withdraw from the BBC competition series. After impressing fans during Saturday’s (September 20) launch show, reality star Dani Dyer and her professional partner Nikita Kuzmin will no longer take part in the series after the mother-of-three sustained a gruelling injury. The duo were among the first to be paired, and fans were eager to see Dani showcase her skills after gaining a legion of fans during her 2018 appearance on Love Island.

However, just days before returning to the dancefloor with a show-stopping performance, the 29-year-old revealed she had sustained an ankle injury in a shock statement. Dani penned: “I had a fall on Friday in rehearsals and landed funny. I thought I had rolled my foot, but it swelled up badly over the weekend, and after an MRI scan yesterday, it turns out I have fractured my ankle. “Apparently, doing the quickstep on a fracture is not advisable (!!) and the doctors have said I am not allowed to dance, so I’ve had to pull out of the show.”

Dani continued: “To say I’m heartbroken is the biggest understatement. I am so going to miss dancing with Nikita but will of course be watching closely and cheering all the couples on.”

As the statement landed on social media, a flurry of fans and their Strictly co-stars took to the comments with support for the duo, including head judge Shirley Ballas, who stated: “I’m so so sorry. But health is most important. Get well soon Angel.”

Strictly professional Luba Mushtuk commented: ” Oh no, I’m so so sorry, please get well soon.”

As the newly announced mother-to-be, Diane Buswell echoed: “I’m so sorry Dani and Nikita, we will miss you so much xx”

“Ohhh nooo!!!! I’m so sorry Dani and Nikiii. Hope you’re getting better soon @danidyerxx sending all my love,” said Nancy Xu

V legend Davina McCall has admitted she “can’t wait” to become a grandmother one day.

Davina has three children – Holly, 23, Tilly, 21, and Chester, 18 – with her ex-husband, Matthew Robertson. The pair tied the knot in 2000 but split in 2017.

The former Big Brother host has since moved on with hairdresser Michael Douglas, whom she announced her engagement to earlier this month.

Davina McCall ‘can’t wait’ to be a grandparent

During an interview on the Netmums Podcast, Davina admitted she had a chat with fiancé Michael about the idea of her family expanding.

“I have just said last weekend to Michael, ‘I can’t wait to be a grandma’. Bring it on, I miss it so much!” she said.

While none of her children are said to be expecting any time soon, Davina revealed that she cannot wait for her youngsters to become parents themselves. However, she was fully aware of the contradiction in holding such hopes, having previously expressed how much she welcomed the ‘independence’ that came with her children growing up.

Davina then insisted she would act differently as a grandmother compared to how she was as a mother.

“So, I think I’ll be a lot more relaxed. I think I was quite an anxious mum in that, I wanted to make sure that they were settled, that they felt secure, but in a kind of anxious way,” she said.

“Obviously being an anxious parent makes them not feel settled or secure.”

Davina’s engagement

Following ongoing speculation, Davina confirmed that she and Michael got engaged in July during a trip to Ibiza.

“What was quite funny was after lunch – Michael had booked a lunch which was like, not that usual on a beach and he wanted to take me to a beach where we’d been with all the kids before. So I was like: ‘Oh, this is really nice,’” she told Chris Evans on Virgin Radio.

“And then he said: ‘Let’s go for a walk around the cliffs.’ Now I’m in Ibiza right? When I’m in Ibiza, I dress for Ibiza, Chris. I’m in some god-forsaken cowboy boot, little pink cowboy boots with steel toe caps and I’m not in a cliff climbing outfit.

“But I could see he really wanted me to like it, it would make him happy. And I thought, oh, bless. Like, he wants to show me something beautiful.”

‘I’m so lucky’

Davina, however, admitted she almost ruined Michael’s big moment.

“So I was like, stop being miserable and get up the cliff. So I’m clambering up the cliff in some sort of steel toe-capped cowboy boots. I’m not going to say what happened, but he recited something to me which was lovely. Because I’m going to keep something for myself. He recited something that was lovely and then he got down on one knee,” she continued.

“But what was quite funny is he’d spent the year before getting down on one knee and tying a pretend shoelace. So I’d go: ‘Oh my gosh, he’s proposing’.’ And then he’d tie a pretend shoelace and I go: ‘Ah!” So after four or five of those, it just became an in joke. So when he did get down on one knee… he’s a very clever guy and very funny. I’m so lucky.”

Janice fell in the middle of the night when she was headed to use the toilet. But the fall caused lasting injuries.

Two years after a horror fall that caused serious head and facial injuries, reports claim that Janice is now suing the ITV bosses.

What happened to Janice Dickinson on I’m A Celeb?

The now 70-year-old was walking to the use the toilet when she fell in the middle of the night. As a result, she had to quit the show. 

She was ultimately covered in blood and actually needed emergency surgery. Reports claim she initially said it happened because of her own “stupidity”.

She told The Sun at the time that she was trying to find her way “from memory” when she tripped and fell.

Janice said: “I walked a couple of steps and tripped, flying flat on my face. My hair was all over my forehead, my nose was bloody and my whole chin was gashed open.

“Blood was gushing from all of these areas, and there was dirt and stones embedded in my face from the fall.”

Janice revealed that the campmates were shocked at how bad everything was.

When she returned to the US, Janice had intensive laser treatment on her skin. But said there was dent remaining in her forehead.

Janice reportedly suing ITV bosses

The outlet reported at the time that she said at the time that ITV were actually paying her medical bills.

Janice revealed at the time: “It was an honest accident. But ITV were kind enough to pay for my doctors’ bills once I got back to LA.

“I had to go to a skin specialist, who put me under laser lighting five days a week for my wounds to heal quickly. That was costly, so ITV did pony up and pay my bills.”

But now, two years later, The Sun has reported that Janice is suing the bosses, believing ITV is legally liable to pay compensation.

Reports reveal that Janice’s personal injury claim was filed on Monday (September 22). It was done by celebrity law firm Taylor Hampton.

It’s believed papers have been filed in the High Court and the case is due to be heard at a date to be set.

Entertainment Daily reached out for comment. Her representative Dermot McNamara has confirmed a claim has been issued at the High Court, in relation to her appearance on I’m a Celebrity: South Africa and that she looks forward to giving her full account in due course.

Entertainment Daily has also reached out to ITV but they declines to comment.

Rylan Clark confirmed on Friday that it was his ‘last day’ on This Morning amid backlash to his comments about immigration earlier in the week.

The host, 36, and Josie Gibson have recently been standing in as hosts on This Morning to cover for Cat Deeley and Ben Shepherd as they take their summer holidays.

He said on Friday’s episode: ‘Last day today!’, which prompted Jodie to declare: ‘What a week!’

‘And then there’s people who have lived here all their lives. They are struggling. I believe that something major needs to be done about this.’

However, the comments did not go down well with many viewers, who accused the host of spreading misinformation about the asylum process in the UK.

Rylan subsequently took to social media to defend himself, writing: ‘You can be pro immigration and against illegal routes.

‘You can support trans rights and have the utmost respect for women.

‘You can be heterosexual and still support gay rights. The list continues.’

Following the announcement of Rylan’s departure, fans took to social media to express their sadness that he will no longer be a regular fixture of the program.

The announcement of Rylan’s departure comes after former host Ruth Langsford teased a potential return to breakfast telly.

In a new interview with The Mirror, she said that she would be willing to return to the sofa for the first time since 2022 if she is joined by her ‘TV son’ Rylan.

‘If they’d have me, they only have to ask, especially with Rylan!’ she said.

‘I love Rylan. He’s like my son, really. We adore each other, and we’ve worked together before, so who knows?’

She then teased an upcoming project, adding: ‘We might work together, it might not be This Morning – we might do something outside of that.’

Mark was in agreement with Farage as he told the ITV hosts that Britain “can’t be the food bank of the world”. He said that the UK needs a system where if you put in then you can claim out as he added: “That’s what National Insurance contributions were supposed to be.” But Susanna hit back, with her face looking like thunder as she questioned: “But if you are here, and you are working and contributing, then surely the system in which you’re contributing should support you if you need it?” The guest said that he had empathy for that situation, but Susanna interrupted him. She said: “But if you have indefinite leave to remain, then you’re basically treated like a British citizen,” which Mr Littlewood said was an “oddity”.

He then shared his understanding of Farage’s plans, saying: “What Farage wants us to get to, from what I understand is, rather than having indefinite leave to remain we will give you a pathway to citizenship.

“It won’t be easy, but if you want to be a British citizen then you can take up that pathway.”

Susanna then turned her attention to Sebastian as she made a sly dig at the Reform party. She said that Farage has said it “for a reason” with that reason being “that a lot of voters will vote for this”.

Mr Salek said that he wouldn’t vote for it and others might not either as they are sometimes “more generous and fair minded” than we give them credit for.

He continued to say that people aren’t just coming to Britain to live a lifetime on benefits and the “stats show that isn’t happening”. He added that it is a “complete myth”.

But then Richard Madeley cut in and said that his thoughts were “politically naive” as he said that the politicians are “playing to the gallery”.

Mr Salek then took aim at Farage saying that his next goal is to win the general election. “He’s going to say whatever it is that he needs to say to get across the line,” he said.

She added: “In this case they were communicating with him in the most fawning and grovelling way.” Richard pointed out that Fergie said she was terrified of “being sued” by Epstein.

However, the ITV host disputed that as he said there wasn’t anyway of Epstein suing Fergie for calling him a paedophile when he was actually a convicted paedophile, doing jail time.

Sarah said that it is a “difficult” moment for Fergie but she isn’t a stranger of a scandal and is the “Queen of comeback”.

She recalled the times that Fergie was allowed back into the Royal Family time and time again, despite negative headlines in the news.

As the show posted a clip from the chat to their social media channels, one ITV star had her say despite not being on screen as she commented her thoughts.

SAD NEWS: Radio legend Kirsty Gallacher ISSUES HEARTBREAKING CONFESSION on Loose Women episode

A TV legend issued a devastating tumour update as she admitted, “I’m very anxious”.

Broadcasting and radio veteran Kirsty Gallacher appeared on Loose Women on Tuesday (September 23), where she spoke about being diagnosed with a benign acoustic neuroma, which is a tumour located in the inner canal of her right ear.

While chatting to Charlene White, Jane Moore, Janet Street-Porter and Katie Piper on the ITV show, Kirsty revealed that her “inoperable” tumour had grown, which meant that she’d be undergoing radiotherapy in November.

“The last time you were on, we talked about your tinnitus and the fact that you have this benign tumour. Give us a little update on what’s been happening,” Jane said.

“Yeah, I have an acoustic neuroma. So, a couple of years ago, I literally woke up and I couldn’t really hear out of my right ear and I thought, ‘Oh, that’s a bit odd,’” Kirsty explained.

“I’d been flown the week before and thought it’s not popped, and went to the doctor and it was a medical emergency because obviously, it could be a brain tumour.

“So, they were brilliant, they sent me straight to see a consultant. It took a while for them to work out what was going on because it was after Covid, but it is called an acoustic neuroma, which is a benign tumour that happens to many people. Don’t know why.”

Kirsty went on to explain that her tumour is in the inner ear canal, which would be “very dangerous” to operate on, so doctors have opted for radiotherapy to try and shrink it.

“I’m having radiotherapy in November, I’m really nervous… It’s growing sadly,” she shared.

“It’s dangerous because it’s pressing on the brain as well, it’s right by the brain… We hope that it might do the job, zap it. It’s quite straightforward. I’m very lucky it’s benign, I’m very lucky that it’s not huge, but it’s the only way of managing it… I’m very anxious.”

Kirsty then opened up about managing her condition, which she described as a “bizarre situation”.

 

“I feel for anyone who has a problem with their senses. I find it quite upsetting. If I’m in an environment that’s not great because acoustically it’s not great, I just go home because I can’t hear,” she said.

“I’m hoping [the radiotherapy] will make me safe and that’s all I can hope for.”

The 38-year-old mum of one has been a staple on screens since shooting to fame on Coronation Street in 2007. What’s more, earlier this year, she became a mum for the first time when she and Mark Wright welcomed daughter Palma.

And despite initially revealing she was going to take a step back from the spotlight, Michelle is busier than ever.

2025 has already been a busy and eventful year for Michelle. As well as welcoming her first child, her career has gone from strength to strength.

Michelle is currently filming a new six-part drama for ITV called The Blame. In the show she plays detective DI Crane, who “must navigate both a murder investigation and the treacherous politics inside her own team”.

Also joining the stellar cast are The Sandman’s Douglas Booth and Ian Hart, aka Professor Quirrell from Harry Potter.

ITV’s Director of Drama described The Blame as “full of surprising twists and a compelling investigation”. Polly Hill added that it “also cleverly tackles police corruption, exploitation and misogyny as the thriller unravels”.

HEARTBREAKING: Ruth Langsford makes divisive Three-Word Statement while discussing Cheating Husband on Loose Women

Presenter Ruth Langsford appeared to throw serious shade at ex Eamonn Holmes in a debate about cheating on Loose Women today (September 22).

Eamonn and Ruth, both 65, announced their split last May. It sent shockwaves through the entertainment world – especially when it was claimed they split after Ruth found messages from Eamonn to another woman on his iPad.

However, the woman he cheated with said that it was a three-month affair.

So the Loose Women debated the topic today, in a segment entitled: “Do you judge someone who stays with a cheat?”

Jane Moore argued that, if a couple has children and one person strays, then it makes it more difficult to leave. There was laughter as Janet declared that she’d never been cheated on as she’s “the cheater”.

After Jane said she presumed that Thomas would’ve been warned any skeletons in his closet would be unearthed during his Strictly stint, she handed back to Ruth, who wrapped up the segment.

With a knowing look in her eye, she closed the cheating discussion by declaring with a smile: “I’m saying nothing.”

Kelly then erupted into laughter, as Ruth did the same.

Over on social media, viewers slammed Janet for thinking that cheating is a laughing matter. Others pointed out that the ladies love talking about other people’s love lives, but not necessarily their own…

Aged 43, she’s 22 years younger than the telly veteran. Katie works as a marriage guidance counsellor, and has a strong social media presence.

“Not only did my mental health suffer, but also my children’s did. One thing I don’t do is forget. But a huge thank you to my friends and family who know me, and the truth. And those have supported me through the past year,” she then added.

It was reported that Eamonn Holmes and girlfriend Katie grew close after striking up a friendship on Twitter way back in 2015. At the time, Katie responded to one of Eamonn’s tweets, striking up a conversation.

At the time, the pair were both involved with the same mental health charity, which reportedly strengthened their bond.

Katie was previously married to bar owner George Alexander. They had two children together – a daughter born in 2010 and a son in 2011. Their marriage ended in 2022.
