HEARTBREAK: Rylan Clark Deeply Saddened As He Shares HEARTBREAKING ANNOUNCEMENT About His Mother Linda

    Rylan Clark and Linda

Rylan Clark made a heartbreaking confession about his mum Linda’s health during a recent interview.

The star, whose show with Rob Rinder, Passage to India, is on tonight (Sunday, September 21), was discussing the duo’s recent trip to India when the subject of his mother’s health came up.

Rylan Clark’s sad confession about mum Linda

Rylan and Rob’s trip to India was all fun and games. There was also a serious side to it, with Rob and Rylan discussing death and mortality during their time in Asia.

During a recent interview with Radio Times, Rylan, 36, while reflecting on the matter, admitted that the trip had not made him think about his health, but his mother’s.

“I’m more worried about losing my mum than losing my own life. I feel like coming back from Varanassi was eye-opening,” he said.

“It made me realise I’ve just got to enjoy things I’m doing, and if I’m not enjoying it, then don’t [bleeping] do it,” he then added.

Rob, meanwhile, admitted that he was afraid of dying.

Rylan has kept fans updated with mum Linda’s health, especially in light of her becoming a fan favourite on Celebrity Gogglebox.

Back in July, Rylan revealed that mum Linda, 73, hadn’t been well, and had been rushed to hospital.

“Mummy Linda isn’t well sadly so I won’t be hosting the show tomorrow. Thank you to the emergency team at Princess Alexandra Hospital. Especially Tanya, who really looked after my mum,” he said on Instagram at the time.

“Will keep you updated as she’s on the mend. She’s a trooper.”

Later on, Rylan revealed that his mum was doing much better.

“She’s doing really well, thankfully. All going good. Cheers for all your messages.”

He then added: “She’s doing really well. Now chatting away with a lovely lady next to her. Cheers for all your messages,” he said.

Linda has been battling Crohn’s since her thirties. Crohn’s is a condition that causes inflammation of the lining of the digestive system.

Linda has had to undergo multiple operations to remove damaged parts of her bowel over the years.

In 2021, Rylan revealed that she had been diagnosed with skin cancer. “So Mummy, and it’s all fine, she’s got skin cancer on her face, but she’s absolutely fine. It’s not life-threatening and it’s just spread a little bit, so we’re getting it all cut away,” he said at the time.

In 2023, Linda suffered a horror fall in Marbella. She broke an arm and leg and had to have emergency surgery.

“I have experienced what it is like to struggle to have a child,” she said in a confessional after speaking about surrogacy with Barrie Drewitt-Barlow.

Barrie was Britain’s first legally recognised gay father, who praised surrogacy in the episode.

“We obviously wanted to expand our family, and last year I fell pregnant and it didn’t go brilliantly,” Stacey added in her confessional moment.

Getting emotional, she added: “It was ectopic.”

Stacey went on: “I am so sorry because this is so predictable.

“I am sat here, crying on a bed.

“It was ectopic, and it was really f***ing difficult.”

She then explained how she had to undergo urgent surgery for an “internal rupture”.

Reflecting on the ordeal, Stacey said: “Of course, when you go through something like that, you are forced to think of alternatives.

“S**t happens, and if you want a bigger family, you have to think how you’re going to do that.”

Stacey, 38, is in a relationship with professional dancer Kevin Clifton whom she met in 2018.

The TV presenter and broadcaster met Kevin, 42, when they were paired up with each other on Strictly.

They even lifted the Glitter Ball trophy together when they won the series.

Stacey and Kevin started dating the following year.

They welcomed their first child in January 2023, a daughter named Minnie.

Earlier this year, Stacey admitted in an interview that she would love to have more kids.

“I would like to have more children,” she told The Guardian.

“But it’s not a given, is it?” she added.

Sarah, 31, from Aberdeen, was introduced on the E4 show tonight in the first episode of the latest series. She brought up the loss at her joint hen do with some of her co-stars ahead of her match in the experiment being unveiled.

The recruitment consultant said that she would be walked down the aisle by her dad, who she described as her “rock”. Sarah then spoke about her mother Julie, saying: “I lost my mum was I was 22. She passed away. So she won’t be there.”

In a confessional on the show, Sarah told viewers: “My mum was my hero but round the age of 12 I noticed that she had a problem with alcohol. I would come home from school and I would find her intoxicated on the couch so I had to take on a carer role, essentially, at a really young age.”

Sarah was seen looking through a photo album with her father as they reflected on the past. Moments later, she was seen in tears as she opened up about her mother’s death in a confessional that was shown amid the hen party scenes.

She shared with viewers in the scene that was broadcast earlier this evening: “By the time I was 22, she was admitted to hospital for the final time.” Visibly emotional, bride Sarah then added: “She passed away three days later.”

As she wiped tears from her eyes, Sarah said that she took “comfort” from her mother being “at peace”. She said: “We went back to see her and she was so at peace, which is the comfort that I take from it and I miss her all the time.”

At the party with her co-stars, Sarah said: “So [I’ve] sort of gone into most of my adult life obviously not having my mum.” She shared that she particularly finds it “quite hard” going into life events and “not having her there”.

Sarah, who moments later suggested that she didn’t want to get “upset” at the party, added: “One of those things like it’s never really like the same but you just get on with it.” She then told the group that mother will be “so proud” of her.

The bride said: “She’d be absolutely buzzing and I know she will be watching this being like ‘go on Saz’. Like ‘you’ve got this girl’ so she’s gonna be so proud of me.” The group then raised a glass to her late mother Julie in the scene.

Lorraine Kelly appeared to make a pointed dig at her ITV show bosses amid a huge wave of changes. The TV presenter has fronted her self-titled show for years, but is facing major cuts in the new year.

    Article continues below

It means Lorraine will be slashed in half from January, running for just half an hour instead of the full 60 minutes and will air for just 30 weeks of the year. The news would come as a huge blow to Lorraine, who first rose to fame in 1988.

She was the Scotland correspondent at TV-AM and became one of the only presenters to move over to GMTV in 1992. Lorraine has been a mainstay on morning TV since.

However, the huge shakeup means her studio will also be on the move as it will now join Loose Women and This Morning in a shared building in Covent Garden. The three shows will be produced by just one team, and comes as ITV are set to scrap more than 220 jobs.

Amid the changes, it seems Lorraine is keen to shout about her show’s success. She proved she is still a huge hit with viewers as she celebrated her ratings.

Lorraine took to Instagram to post a list of all the highest rated shows on ITV on Friday. She had a peak of 784,000 households that tuned in to watch her.

In what looked like an attempt to flag the news to her bosses, Lorraine wrote: “Ahem – yesterday’s show in @itv top ten. Thanks to @fern_bennett @vejk100 and all my top @lorraine team and crew #topten #topteam #love #family #happy #stillkickingass.”

On Friday, Lorraine’s long-time editor, Victoria Kennedy, announced she’s leaving her role amid the network’s huge budget cuts after eight years. Announcing the news on LinkedIn, the editor told her followers that her time with Lorraine is coming to an end.

    Article continues below

She wrote: “September is always an important month for us on Lorraine – the launch of a new season as we go into my favourite time of the year to make this show.

“This year is bittersweet as it will be my last one as Editor. So I’m delighted to see that our September new season BARB ratings are the highest they’ve been in three years — and with 37 million video views across social last month, we’re starting the season on a high.”

She added that she wanted to show some “gratitude” for the team she’s worked with for close to a decade. “This is a little gratitude post to my incredible team who get up at 3am each morning and pretend they are never tired, who greet every guest with a smile, change running orders at a moment’s notice as news breaks, send me ideas at the weekends and, most importantly, care deeply about what our audience want to see at 9am live every single weekday.”

“Making live daytime telly is relentless and exhausting, but it is also a magical privilege to be in people’s living rooms as they start their day,” she continued.

Managing Director at ITV Studios Daytime Emma Gormley previously explained: “As we work towards more cutting edge and efficient ways to produce Daytime shows in 2026. This move to The H Club studio offers state of the art technology that we can use across our programmes to create shows that are distinctive – with a look and feel that are familiar to and loved by our viewers.

“In a time of transformation for the entire industry, I want to thank all our Daytime teams for their dedication and skill in producing high-quality, compelling live shows every day throughout this period.”

ITV Good Morning Britain's Charlotte Hawkins left in tears by Piers Morgan advert - Liverpool Echo

Charlotte Hawkins will now present the news across ITV instead of just Good Morning Britain as part of huge shake-up(Image: ITV)

Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins is one of the broadcaster’s main stars reported to be feeling the full impact of cuts by the channel. ITV recently announced a series of huge cost-cutting across the production of its shows which include Lorraine, This Morning and also Loose Women.

Charlotte Hawkins will now present the news across ITV instead of just Good Morning Britain as part of huge shake-up

Charlotte has been working for the morning news TV show since 2014 after quitting her role on Sky News. She has worked alongside some of the programme’s greats including Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.

Since news of the cuts emerged, Charlotte’s role will no longer be confined to Good Morning Britain but across the entire ITV schedule.‌

A source told The Sun: “Charlotte will read the news across the schedule. She’ll still read on GMB but also the lunchtime, evening and News at Ten. It’s a major change because she was solely contracted for GMB.”

Charlotte Hawkins will now present the news across ITV instead of just Good Morning Britain as part of huge shake-up

Charlotte Hawkins will now present the news across ITV instead of just Good Morning Britain as part of huge shake-up

Further cuts have spread into the offices as staff now have to provide their own breakfast as toasters have allegedly been pulled from the kitchen areas. And staff are allegedly furious.

Another insider told the publication: “It is mutiny down at Good Morning Britain HQ. The new offices’ kitchen is in a basement with no windows or natural light, so smoke from a toaster is a serious health hazard.”

They added: “Everyone will have to start bringing in their Tupperware packed breakfasts.” And the major TV shows will also move to a shared space which is in stark difference to the previous environment.

Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women are allegedly set to relocate to the basement studio of the H Club Studio in London, which is a former members club in Covent Garden.

Instead of separate spaces to broadcast live, the shows which run back to back during the weekdays, will now use one gallery.

Managing Director at ITV Studios Daytime Emma Gormley said: ‘As we work towards more cutting edge and efficient ways to produce Daytime shows in 2026. This move to The H Club studio offers state of the art technology that we can use across our programmes to create shows that are distinctive – with a look and feel that are familiar to and loved by our viewers.”

She continued: “In a time of transformation for the entire industry, I want to thank all our Daytime teams for their dedication and skill in producing high-quality, compelling live shows every day throughout this period.”

Also, it has recently been announced that ITV is set for a further shake-up which means that Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will be produced by one team instead.

BREAKING: Strictly’s Thomas Skinner makes BLUNT STATEMENT as Peter Levy gives SPEECH SCORNING his dance partner Amy Dowden

Thomas Skinner nắm một tay của Amy Dowden khi cô ấy đưa tay kia ra trong hình ảnh quảng cáo của chương trình khiêu vũ Srictly Come Dancing

Just hours after the Strictly Come Dancing launch show The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner has gone on the defensive after BBC Look North star Peter Levy expressed his disdain that popular Welsh dancer Amy Dowden had been teamed with the reality star and businessman. Taking to X the news man simply wrote: “I feel sorry for Amy Dowden……”

However, Thomas took umbrage at the post and responded, urging the newsreader to “stick to the autocue.” He furiously penned: “Don’t feel sorry for Amy, Peter. She is an incredible woman, a fighter, and we’re gonna have a great time together on Strictly. In fact, we haven’t stopped laughing. Maybe instead of making daft digs at me, you should be cheering on a brilliant dancer who’s beaten bigger battles that you and I have had to face. Anyway, you stick to reading the autocue, I’ll stick to learning the cha-cha. I will be working my hardest on learning to dance so I don’t let her down. I want to do as well as possible, not just for myself but for her as well.”

    Cận cảnh Peter Levy

Rather than fire back an irate reponse Peter graciously replied: “Hello Thomas, I am sure you are going to do a great job and will be a top partner. I wish you both well in the competition. I’ll stick with the autocue.”

Thomas was thrilled to learn he will be dancing with Amy. The reality star and businessman is currently mired in controversy following revelations of an affair.

The 34-year-old dad of three put the furore to one side to greet his pro partner saying: “I’m over the moon. Honestly, Amy is a legend, just inspirational.”

However, he managed to visibly disgust her as he described his ideal pre-rehearsal breakfast on the launch show and invited her to join him.

He told Amy: “The best breakfast – we go down to Beano’s caff nice and early before we get started, get you spicy Korean noodles with the chicken breasts and the poached eggs, a little bit of Tabasco sauce.

“Or you don’t fancy that we can have the sunshine chicken curry with a round of chips,” he enthused.

However Amy looked far from amused and her reaction was spotted by Claudia who pointed it out. This led Amy to issue a warning to Thomas as she said: “I really hope your food doesn’t repeat whilst you dance. Because we’re so close,” she said putting her face next to his to demonstrate her point.

Amy, 35, only returned to Strictly last year having been forced to sit out 2023 as she battled breast cancer. She was paired with JLS star JB Gill, but her time on the show was cut short after she suffered foot injury in October 2024. She was forced to withdraw from the competition and Lauren Oakley stepped in to partner JB.

The 58-year-old presenter, who hosted Monday’s programme alongside Richard Madeley, revealed that she accidentally broke her co-star Susanna Reid’s hairbrush just minutes before going on-air

Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway had a “catastrophe” just minutes before going on air on Monday morning after she accidentally broke her co-star Susanna Reid’s hairbrush. Taking to Instagram, the 58-year-old presenter, who is stepping in for Susanna whilst she’s on her annual summer break, recorded a video from the GMB desk. In the clip, she apologised to Susanna as she prepared to host the three-hour ITV morning news programme alongside fellow broadcaster Richard Madeley.

“I’ve just had a catastrophe,” began Kate, who regularly hosts the ITV programme alongside an array of rotating presenters. “I’ve just dropped my hairbrush on the floor and it’s smashed,” continued the presenter, before panning the camera to the broken hairbrush and revealing Susanna as the owner. “But look who it actually belongs to. Susanna, I’m really sorry, I’ve broken your hairbrush,” she said, adding, “Sorry about that.”
