Truth behind claim Meghan Markle is ‘raging’ as Princess Charlotte could ‘inherit Diana heirloom over Lilibet’
Was this a snub to the Sussexes?
Claims that Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has been “raging” over a potential snub to her daughter, said to relate to Princess Lilibet’s cousin, Princess Charlotte, have been shut down.
In recent months, it has been reported that Princess Charlotte, the second child and only daughter of Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales, could inherit a family heirloom once associated with her late grandmother, Princess Diana.
However, according to a US website, that could mean the late Diana’s other granddaughter – the youngest child of Prince Harry – could miss out, with insiders claiming Princess Charlotte is the “natural choice” if the Spencer Tiara is used again in public.

What is the Spencer Tiara?
The Spencer Tiara was worn by Princess Diana on her 1981 wedding day to Prince Charles (now King Charles). Mounted in gold, it is set with dozens of rose-cut, cushion, and pear-shaped diamonds. The garland-style design also includes a heart at the centre, flanked by scrolls and flowers shaped like trumpets and stars.
It was reported in June that Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, has the tiara in his possession. It has also been claimed that Prince William has enquired about it being acquired by Princess Charlotte in the future.
However, with a reported estimated worth of £400,000 (over $500k), RadarOnline.com claimed that not everyone is happy about it possibly being passed on down Prince William’s side of the family.

‘Charlotte embodies her grandmother’s legacy in a very public way’
Jewellery expert Maxwell Stone of Steven Stone Jewellers is reported to have told the news outlet that Princess Charlotte, 10, is more likely to be seen wearing the tiara on notable occasions.
He’s quoted as saying: “She embodies her grandmother’s legacy in a very public way, making the Spencer Tiara a fitting and symbolic choice for future events – particularly a wedding.”
Additionally, it is suggested that Princess Lilibet, four, may not be considered as central to the future of the royal family in some quarters. Mr Stone went on: “Raised outside traditional royal circles, her path is less entwined with royal custom. This may make access to the tiara less straightforward.”
And it has been speculated that this potential issue may have left Meghan Markle infuriated.

Meghan Markle ‘reaction’ to Princess Charlotte speculation
The website then claimed that sources reckon the duchess is “raging” at Princess Lilibet possibly missing out on the heirloom. It is thought to have last been worn in public when Princess Diana’s niece Celia McCorquodale wore it in 2018.
An insider is quoted as saying: “The fact is, the Spencer family remains the ultimate custodians of the tiara. As the 9th Earl Spencer, Charles, 58, is responsible for its safekeeping and decisions regarding its use.
“Given Princess Charlotte’s prominent place within the royal family and her public role as Diana’s granddaughter, many view her as the natural choice for the tiara’s future appearances.
Meghan is seeing this as yet another snub to her and her kids.
“There is virtually no way it will end up in Lilibet’s hands. And Meghan is seeing this as yet another snub to her and her kids.”
However, a representative for the Duchess of Sussex has told Royal Insider: “This is categorically untrue.”
