Veteran Hollywood actress Lorna Raver has died at the age of 81. The star died on May 12 but the news was only confirmed in the “In Memoriam” section of SAG-AFTRA’s Summer 2025 magazine edition. Having begun her career in off Braodaway productions she moved to Los Angeles where she became a familiar face on both the big and small screen. she had roles in popualr shows such as Star Trek: Voyager and Desperate Housewives.

In recent years she had attracted a whole new generation of fans thanks to her work with legendary director Sam Rami on the 2009 horror Drag Me To Hell. The film was a hugehit although in a 2014 interview for the book, Welcome to Our Nightmares: Behind the Scene With Today’s Horror Actors, she confessed she had no idea what the movie was about when she auditioned for it although she was familiar with the directors previous work.

“While I knew of [Raimi’s] work from other films, I was so ignorant of the whole horror genre that I had never even heard of the Evil D3ad [movies],” she said.

“I was definitely interested in doing it because of Sam Raimi, but I was not fully aware of exactly what I was getting into until it happened. What I liked about the character was that she was powerful.”

Her extensive CV includes appearances insome of the biggest shows of the past few deacades. She appeared in the 1997 pilot of The Practice and played judges in Ally McBeal and Boston Legal.

She also had roles on ER, Saved by the Bell: The New Class, Beverly Hills, 90210, Felicity, Judging Amy, Gilmore Girls, Charmed, First Watch, NYPD Blue, Cold Case,Weeds, Nip/Tuck, Bones and Grey’s Anatomy alongside her film work.

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz refused to invite his brothers to their second wedding after being “trolled” by them as the ‘family feud’ wars on. In recent months, an onslaught of swipes and digs came from his younger brothers Cruz, 20, and Romeo, 22, on social media after the couple snubbed David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations. The surprising move comes after the Sun previously revealed Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, had been “blocked” by his siblings.

A source told the outlet: “Romeo and Cruz’s social media posts clearly reflect how they feel about him, and how they’ve been treating him. Why would they expect and invitation?”

The brothers mocked the power couple in a series of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments on Instagram and TikTok. The first incident happened in April, when Cruz commented on Romeo’s loved-up snaps with his then-girlfriend Kim Turnbull.

Cruz wrote: “So beautIful Romeo” which he simply replied with three cry-laughing emojis. Two days before Romeo’s romantic pictures, his ex-girlfriend Mia Regan – a British model – shared a picture of her latest cover shoot on Instagram.

Brooklyn’s wife Nicola, who had grown close to the model, took to the comments to shower her with praise online. She wrote: “So beautiful Mia.” Following the public swipe, Cruz shared a series of cryptic messages on his Instagram Stories.

One post that raised a few eyebrows was when the aspiring signer penned: “Be kind and tell the truth”. In a more public snub, Cruz was caught appearing to mock Brooklyn online when snapping back at a fan about his decision to pursue a career in the music industry.

Brooklyn inadvertently found himself back in the firing line after someone accidentally mixed him up with Cruz and made a joke about his career choices, after dabbling in photography, cookery, and racing.

The fan wrote: “Are you going to stick with this job or going to become a race care driver next or something?” Cruz bluntly replied: “Wrong brother mate.”

Cruz’s brother Romeo, 22, has also hit out at their older brother by sharing his own cryptic posts on Instagram amid the growing tension. He shared a screenshot of his Spotify, while listening to Justin Bieber’s Walking Away, which he wrote over the top during the peak of the family friction “yup”.

The unearthed comments have returned to the spotlight on the warring Beckhams intensifies. Nicola and Brooklyn said ‘I do’ for the second time earlier this month after distancing themselves from his famous family.

The happy couple, who first tied the knot back in April 2022 after dating for three years, walked down the aisle again for the second time at the start of August 2025 in an intimate vow renewal ceremony.

In a series of snaps shared by the couple on Instagram, they are surrounded by Nicola’s family and friends. In another dig, Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz, officiated their wedding.

A source told The Sun of David and Victoria’s reaction to the vow renewal, telling the outlet: “This was the final kick in the teeth for David and Victoria.

“Seeing Nelson having such a pivotal role at the ceremony was heartbreaking for David especially. Not one member of the 30-plus extended family knew about the wedding, or were invited”
