‘LISA AND I ARE DEVASTATED’ Jeremy Clarkson makes HEARTBREAKING ANNOUNCEMENT
Television presenter and farmer Jeremy Clarkson has said that he and girlfriend Lisa Hogan have been left heartbroken after tough times hit Diddly Squat Farm.
The Clarkson’s Farm star recently shared that there had been an outbreak of bovine tuberculosis at his Oxfordshire farm, which had necessitated the culling of one of his cows.

Speaking about the matter, Jeremy told The Sun, in an update on the situation, that he and Lisa are collectively devastated. He shared: “Lisa and I are distraught because we’re having a terrible time with the animals. I gave birth to the cow the vet says is infected.
“The cow was never going to be eaten – it was one of our suckler cows whose job is to eat fresh grass and have sex.”
Jeremy also addressed how he felt about losing the cow, in comparison to losing a beloved dog. The former Top Gear host explained: “It’s not like losing a dog, but you get attached to them and it’s still upsetting.”
Bovine tuberculosis (also known as bTB) is an infectious disease that can be deadly for cattle and also infect dogs, badgers, cats, deer, goats, and pigs.
Whilst unnerving for farmers, it is not usually found in humans. Clarifying this point, Jeremy wrote on X: “Bad news from Diddly Squat. We’ve gone down with TB. Everyone here is absolutely devastated. I should clear this up, really. It’s Bovine TB that we have. It doesn’t affect people, just our poor cows.”
Jeremy has also posted on Instagram about the incident, including a photo of the cow in question and writing movingly about his emotional reaction to the ordeal.
He said: “This is the poor cow that has bTB. She’s pregnant with twins and has been separated and has been separated from her calf. And she will have to be culled. Small wonder she’s crying.”
Jeremy explained the outbreak has brought Diddly Squat to a halt.
He told the Times: “We’re trying to carry on with the harvest and everything, but TB focuses the mind. The disruption’s enormous, because you aren’t allowed to operate as a business. You have to isolate them for two months.

“So all the barns we needed to store the grain in, we now have to convert into a cow hospital. We’ve got another calf with pneumonia, so that needs to be housed. And we can’t buy or sell a cow now because the farm officially, you know, has TB.”
Jeremy also added to The Sun: “We can’t do anything or buy or sell cattle for two months – but it’s only affected beef. We’ll have to rely on other areas of farming.”

The blow to Diddly Squat comes just weeks after the release of season five of Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime, which has seen the profile of farmers rise immensely in the UK.
