The upcoming episodes of Coronation Street could see Kevin Metcalfe (played by Michael La Vell) exposed for lying about his cancer diagnosis. This comes after the mechanic was diagnosed with testicular cancer earlier this year and successfully underwent chemotherapy.
Yet, despite getting the all-clear, he continues to pull the wool over his wife Abi Webster’s (Sally Carman) eyes after fears she will leave him. Kevin’s lies seemingly fall apart in a future episode in which Abi reveals she plans to join her husband for his chemo; however, his best mate Tyrone (Alan Halsall), who knows the truth, will attempt to stall her. Elsewhere in the episode, Kevin was intrigued to spot his shady younger half-brother Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) in a deep conversation with Fiona Morley (Sara Poyzer) in the ginnel.

The pair were discussing dodgy dealings as Carl was telling Fiona about a flashy car he was working on at the garage. He added that if he stole the motor within the next hour, they could both make tons of money after splitting the profits.
This conversation comes back to Kevin’s mind after he sees Fiona speeding away in the car, but he quickly becomes unwell after trying to run after her.
Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger), who happened to be passing by, saw the commotion and insisted on taking Kevin to the hospital, and there he told Carl that it was a false emergency and that he’s fine.
In that moment, Kevin will reveal that he saw his brother talking to Fiona moments before she sped away with the car from the garage and offered him a chance to explain.

However, Carl quickly retorts that it’s Kevin who has explaining to do as he spoke to the doctor and knows he’s been lying about his cancer.
This comes after Abi had previously admitted to Carl that she planned to ask Kevin for some time apart if he got the all clear.
Although Kevin’s suspicions were right, he chose to lie to her after noticing his wife and half-brother getting suspiciously close.
As Carl knows the truth, fans will have to stay tuned to see if he will expose Kevin to Abi to get back at him and eventually win over his sister-in-law.
