The Traitors star Freddie finally addressed the shower scene that aired earlier this month which left viewers fanning themselves
The Traitors star Freddie addressed his iconic shower scene after his mum expressed her discomfort towards it.
At the beginning of the newest series of the show, fans watched as he stripped off for a shower at the hotel after leaving the castle for the night. He didn’t seem too bothered by being filmed for a nude scene as he casually continued with his shower as if the cameras weren’t there.
When the scenes aired, Freddie’s mum admitted she wasn’t a big fan of the scene. Speaking to BBC Cambridgshire, she said: “I wasn’t overkeen on the shower scene, I’m not gonna lie. Well, I put it this way, we had a houseful and my mum was here, his nan, and his other nan was here.
“Yeah, it was awkward, I’m not gonna lie. Luckily, that’s died into the background and people are recognising what a great person he is, how kind he is.” On The Traitors: Unlocked, host Ed Gamble was quick to ask Freddie about the iconic scene – which had fans fanning themselves.
Laughing at the question, he said: “I wasn’t against the idea of going in the shower. There was like a 50/50 decision, I was like yeah sure.” This week, fans witnessed as Freddie was banished from the castle, having only been a Traitor for less than a day.

The 20-year-old politics student, who has been under suspicion since the start of the BBC show but who was Faithful until just a few hours before his exit, vowed to take Charlotte down with him. Branding her “snakey” for the way in which she double-crossed him over Leanne having a shield, Freddie declared: “Charlotte threw Minah (Shannon) under the bus now she’s trying to throw me under the bus. If I get banished, I get banished – but I will be taking her down with me.
Former Faithful Freddie, who admitted he’d hated “every singe second” of his short time as a Traitor because he was not a good liar, tried to send a message to the remaiing Faithful by voting for Charlotte out-of-the-blue at the last roundtable of the series.
When he was banished – and had to reveal he was a Traitor – he told the group it had been “the honour of my life” to take part in the TV series, hosted by Claudia Winkleman. For her part Charlotte laughed: “I’m feeling so evil. This is a game. It’s like goodbye Minah, hello Freddie but actually, goodbye Freddie. I feel quite proud of myself. I love being a Traitor. It’s like I’ve found my calling.”
